[Grim_]

Grim uses his geomancy and fire magic spells to create a massive sealed space around the liches and fill it with hot ice which he then detonates. The force of the explosion will be magnified a few times by the enclosing.

i fire a few acid arrows at the fleeing necromancers, taking carefull aim, so not to hit grim. i then go to an unused graveyard. if i cant find one, i head to the gorge where i watched rocco incinerate the trolls. (the place leading to the citadel.)

I use the geomancy charge to clear and reinforce the North tunnel.

The Liches are moving remarkably fast for a sack of bones, and manage to evade the walls of geomancy you try to enclose around them. They begin sprinting on a road to the north, probaly to their monastery.

The necromancers are too fast for your arrows, and they fall short of their targets. You head to the beginning of a mountain pass, where you see a new guard of trolls standing nearby.

The North tunnel is cleared and temporarily reinforced. It's unlikely to remain open for long.

You awaken in a large room, with six large columns spiraling to the ceiling. There appears to be several dead wild dogs nearby, probaly killed by past adventurers. There doesn't seem to be an exit, though you do notice a rope, a pickaxe, and a mining helmet nearby.

Grim follows them and opens up a pit under them and seals them under a dome before using his fire magic charge to coat it with as much hot ice as possible and then detonate it (magnifying the force of the explosion)

If there is a reinforced room on the other end, I run forwards. If not, I form support beams in the center and continue reinforcing it.

There might be an abrupt break in the middle, as I have to eat, but we'll get over that bridge when it comes.

You can't tell if the room is reinforced, so you decide to put support beams in the center and reinforce it.

You shock yourself into a state of almost unconciousness. For some reason, you can still feel the fact that you're being slowly dragged into the plant.

Level 5 is elemental immunity, Mather. Hehe.

 

I walk quickly down the tunnel, preparing a geomancy spell. If the roof collapses, I use the charge to quickly sink under the ground.

You reach a steep slope that dives deep into the mine. There appear to be chiseled stone steps which have been slowly worn away by something.

Two is fine.

 

 

The pit opens a few feet to the left of the Liches, missing them by a pretty large distance. The Liches run into the forest.

i ask the trolls if i may pass, charging up a necro spell as i do.

[Grim_]

Grim follows them and uses his geomancy charge (if he can) to open up a massive pit (around 50 feet across) under the liches and then encase it in a dome and then do the hot ice trick.

I put my tower shield onto my back, and draw two broadswords. I turn the orbs into a "Whirling Wall" of shards, and use the geomancy spell to seek out and raise spikes under any motion it detects other than that created by me.

The Liches have put quite a distance between you and them, making it difficult for you to see them. You spot one of the Liches, who you then proceed to crush and destroy.

The geomancy spell exhausts itself, raising spikes under something that you cannot see, further down the slope.

The trolls start wailing to their comrades, about the tasty meal that is about to be had.

Grim uses partial tunneling to increase his pace and looks for the lich with the white elm staff. Once sighted he opens up a large pit under neath it and does the whole hot ice trick (again).

Your tunneling decision costs you, and you are entangled in the roots of a tree. By the time you recover and return to the surface, the Liches are nowhere to be found.

You skillfully avoid several wellplaced tripwires, and continue down the stairs. The tunnel seems very long, and you've made it about half way. You can hear the sound of rushing water in the distance.
