Grim fully tunnels and attempts to locate the power of the white elm staff (don't tell me I have to kill an entire group of liches) while following it.

I try to place as many more orbs as I can made of spare steel into the orbit, considering my level is higher than when I first tried. I drive one orb into the ceiling and make a path for it with geomancy to anchor me if I fall into the water. I continue down the path.

(Well there is like one Lich, and group of wannabe Liches. Not true Liches, just low level necromancers)

 

It seems the power has been heavily disguised, making it almost impossible to locate in this manner.

You are still at your limit for orbs, though you seem to have much better control of the ones you currently have. The orb anchors you to the ceiling. After walking for a while, you reach a dead end, filled with the rubble and debris of the mines above.

Grim attempts to locate the illusion that he cast on the staff. He tunnels north and tries to locate the monastery with geomancy as well.

I use sound magic and geomancy to determine what's on the other side. If there is nothing, I head back. If there is, I raise a stone pillar where I'm stand on that almost reaches the ceiling (enough room to stand, and attempt to anchor my feet to it with thin stone straps and then begin blasting away the rubble with geomancy and my two unoccupied orbs.

You notice the illusion heading north for a while, before it suddenly disappears from your senses. You tunnel north, before suddenly hitting a barrier underground and being forced to the surface. You find yourself in a forest, overlooking a gorge.

After hearing nothing and beginning to turn back, the sound of rushing water seems to get louder. Suddenly a gush of water comes from the mines above, almost smashing you into the rubble behind you. Thankfully, your orb keeps you anchored, though its strength is quickly being tested by the rising waters.

Grim charges an illusionary and geomancy spell before attempting to break through any illusion/barrier using the two spells.

I throw the other two orbs at the ceiling, draw myself up to it, and pull myself into the stone, travelling back to the entrance.

Meguy, I'm near the ruins of a town called Potsdell, fighting witches and their insidious traps. You're currently in the beginner dungeon.

You awaken in a large room, with six large columns spiraling to the ceiling. There appears to be several dead wild dogs nearby, probaly killed by past adventurers. There doesn't seem to be an exit, though you do notice a rope, a pickaxe, and a mining helmet nearby.

Your orbs fail to penetrate the ceiling, and your previous orb begins to slip.

The barrier seems pretty secure, but it's likely you can go past it above land.

I try to throw the other orbs up again and enhance the pull, and also bring down a pillar of earth towards my body. When it touches my body, I meld into it and use it to get into the ceiling. As a backup, I try to form an aeromancy spell that will keep me from drowning.

Grim attempts to pass over it using geomancy to put up a collum of stone at one end and his trusty invincirope/ grappling hook to get over.

Sam grabs the helmet, and pickaxe. Also I examine the rope.

my sister has to use the computer I can't play anymore.

Can ya...not PM me constantly asking to continue the session? I had to go and eat, which I stated in my post. It gets very irritating.

 

 

 

 

And now I'm not in the most positive mood for Dungeoneering, so instead of being more evil than I normally am, I think I'll stop for the day.

You most certainly did not. You said you had to eat earlier, but I assumed you were finished.

And you also have to understand that I can't always tell you everytime that I have to suddenly leave the computer, nor am I willing to dictate my life based on this game. I already do sessions as often reasonably possible, and I can't really be asked to do any more than that.

thats why i left the session. anyways action for next session: i slam a necro attack into the wail troll, and then i start shooting him in the eyes with an assortment of arrows (acid, necro, fire even?)
