Grim attempts to raise the crystals with a geomancy ritual (sacrificing half the xp gained) and fuse them with the hawk.

 

Haakon follows the mage avoiding lava as he goes.

I un-deafen myself and begin rolling around the room in a steel sphere, crashing into the walls.

[Jehosaphat]

"You gestured me over here, what do YOU want?"

 

Referring to the cloaked guy who beckoned for me to talk with him after I failed to find someone who could teach me to make explosives, ofc.

[Retech]

-Earth

 

The sonium takes on the property of a nightmare dispeller, and makes the foul manifestation disappear. There doesn't seem to be enough for the portal.

 

-Grim

 

The hawk becomes larger, capable of carrying up to five party members and a decent supply of loot. It also gains the abilities of one "domain" (just choose one of the cleric ones, to make it easier).

 

-Hakon

 

The Ivory mage cautiously enters a small shantytown at the edge of the blackened earth, with a few meagre crops barely surviving. The entire area consists of only a few shacks arranged around a well with dirty water inside. No one seems to be around.

 

-Nex

 

The room starts collapsing on itself.

 

-Kemios

 

"Ah yes, so I had overheard you complaining about how there was no one to teach you how to make magical explosives, yes? (Say what?) Well I can help you with that...if you're willing to do a simple task of course."

[Earth]

ffs. maybe i shouldnt have done that. i look to see if the portal is still there, and if it is, i jump in.

[Grim_]

Grim chooses the water domain. He then rides the Hawk up into the sky and looks for the army of oliphaunts. He charges a fire spell as he does so.

 

Haakon guards the ivory mages back while charging a lightning spell.

[Nexaduro]

I burst the metal outwards to form supports above the portal, and stabilize the room with geomancy. Whether or not I succeed, I pull the metal to me as I jump through the portal.

[Jehosaphat]

"so what's yer task?"

[Retech]

-Earth

 

You jump into the portal and land in the blackened earth (please read that long post for Iey about the new region). You see the Ivory mage and Hakon in a very small shack ville ahead.

 

-Grim

 

Your hawk has now gained the ability to dive, as well as allowing you to dive when with it, while breathing water. You begin flying towards the army with Oliphants, when you suddenly see three figures off in the distance flying towards you.

 

-Hakon

 

Nothing comes out of the shacks.

 

-Nex

 

The room collapses, but you thankfully manage to jump in, and appear in the blankened earth. (Same thing as Earth)

 

-Kemios

 

"Take this diamond and this bag of silver dust and head to Jen's mountain. You know where that is, right? Then place the diamond on the top of the mountain, draw a ring of silver dust around it, making sure that it is a complete ring, then return here for your training. Simple as that."

[Grim_]

Grim charges a fire spell draws his bow attempting to identify the creatures.

EDIT: Oh and nex/earth can you control Haakon?

[Earth]

errr. okay. i head twords the others, while looking to see if i have a bow. if not, i make one out of necro.

[Nexaduro]

NO KEMIOS! DO NOT! I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND MAKE YOUR EARDRUMS IMPLODE AND YOUR WINGS WILT!

 

Those guys are clearly evil, they destroyed the Sun Tower, and if you put that around Jen's mountain... Who knows what loot is in there, never mind the transmog master Ivory Mage that lives there!

 

I protect Iey and the Ivory Mage while looking around.

Pie if you try to do that I will be waiting... with several charges of fire magic ready.

One of the creatures seems to be flying ontop a large snowy owl, flying from the north. Another is flying on some sort of wraith or wyvern, though they seem to be a mass of cloak from the distance. Finally, one of them seems to be flying towards you by themselves, looking much like a snowflake. You charge a fire spell.

 

-Earth

 

You create a bow out of necro, before the ivory mage starts speaking.

 

"Maybe we should ask one of the locals for some sort of raft to get over the river. My magic seems rather drained right now."

 

-Nex

 

You enter one of the shacks, where you find a small child around the age of seven or eight, cowering in the corner. He is wielding a small woodcutting axe, and seems deathly afraid of you.

[Earth]

i agree, and then begin making a mas. a mask in the image of Majoras Mask (the mask in the game. final boss.)

[Grim_]

Grim has the hawk gain altitude and charges another fire spell.

How cliche, Earth.

 

I reform my armour, bow to the child, and then kneel and ask him to put down the ask.

[Retech]

-Earth

 

You are quickly distracted by a barrel rolling towards you very...very...slowly.

 

-Grim

 

You gain altitude, but the three figures seem to begin closing on you. Finally, you charge another fire spell.

 

-Nex

 

The child passes out in fright, tighly gripping the axe.

Grim attempts to call out to them to talk and to summon two flying fire spirits (using one of his charges)

[Jehosaphat]

Hmm, let's see. I could implode Jen's mountain fortress and learn how to blow stuff up, or I could use this explosive diamond for other, more nefarious purposes..... And I get to keep my trebuchet either way. Decisions, decisions...

 

Kemios flies back to his castle and chucks some rocks outside the city with the trebuchet to see how well it works and how far it can fling stuff.

[Earth]

i shoot an arrow next to the barrel, and then continuing to work on my mask.

[Grim_]

Pie don't.... that is where magedeath crystals come from (at least in this region) and we really don't want them flying up in a cloud (why don't you talk with the paladin?)

You manage to summon two weak fire spirits, who float around your head. When you call out to talk to them, they shout something back, but you can't hear what they are saying. Suddenly, they begin charging spells.

 

-Kemios

 

After some experiments, the trebuchet seems to fire quite well. From your mountain, you can barely reach Ikana, as well as Jen's mountain and Atlantis.

 

-Earth

 

You accidentally shoot the barrel, and a child emerges from the barrel, an arrow in her eye. (Well there goes any change of peaceful reconciliation) There seems to be some metal on metal grating noises, and some clanging in the shacks.

Just for the record, Grim, the magedeath crystals were in a mountain next to Jen's, not Jen's mountain. And we already kinda blew that mountain to smithereens to get some loot.

 

Retech, my castle where I built the trebuchet is in Ikana. :blink:
