Bubsa
If we're going for meaningful stuff, mine are these: Man of the Hour Lyrics Artist(Band):Pearl Jam Tidal waves don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t beg forgiveness 'Crashed' and on their way Father he enjoyed collisions; others walked away A snowflake falls in may. And the doors are open now as the bells are ringing out Cause the man of the hour is taking his final bow Goodbye for now. Nature has its own religion; gospel from the land Father ruled by long division, young men they pretend Old men comprehend. And the 'Sky Breaks' at dawn; shedding light upon this town They̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll all come ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâround Cause the man of the hour is taking his final bow Goodbye for now. And the road The old man paved The broken seams along the way The rusted signs, left just for me He was guiding me, love, his own way Now the man of the hour is taking his final bow As the curtain comes down I feel that this is just goodbye for now. AND: Trent Reznor - Hurt (When sung by Johnny Cash it means the most for me) I hurt myself today to see if I still feel I focus on the pain the only thing that's real the needle tears a hole the old familiar sting try to kill it all away but I remember everything what have I become? my sweetest friend everyone I know goes away in the end and you could have it all my empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt I wear this crown of thorns upon my liar's chair full of broken thoughts I cannot repair beneath the stains of time the feelings disappear you are someone else I am still right here what have I become? my sweetest friend everyone I know goes away in the end and you could have it all my empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt if I could start again a million miles away I would keep myself I would find a way This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

lollol
Artist: Fort Minor Song: Remember The Name Lyrics: You ready?! Lets go! Yeah, for those of you that want to know what we're all about It's like this y'all (c'mon!) [Chorus] This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill Fifteen percent concentrated power of will Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain And a hundred percent reason to remember the name! He doesn't need his name up in lights He just wants to be heard whether it's the beat or the mic He feels so unlike everybody else, alone In spite of the fact that some people still think that they know him But [bleep] em, he knows the code It's not about the salary It's all about reality and making some noise Makin the story - makin sure his clique stays up That means when he puts it down Tak's pickin it up! let's go! Who the hell is he anyway? He never really talks much Never concerned with status but still leavin them star struck Humbled through opportunities given to him despite the fact That many misjudge him because he makes a livin from writin raps Put it together himself, now the picture connects Never askin for someone's help, to get some respect He's only focused on what he wrote, his will is beyond reach And now when it all unfolds, the skill of an artist It's just twenty percent skill Eighty percent fear Be one hundred percent clear cause Ryu is ill Who would've thought that he'd be the one to set the west in flames And I heard him wreckin with The Crystal Method, "Name Of The Game" Came back dropped Megadef, took em to church I like bleach man, why you have the stupidest verse? This dude is the truth, now everybody be givin him guest spots His stock's through the roof I heard he [bleep]in with S. Dot! [Chorus] This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill Fifteen percent concentrated power of will Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain And a hundred percent reason to remember the name! They call him Ryu The Sick And he's spittin fire with Mike Got him out the dryer he's hot Found him in Fort Minor with Tak Been a [bleep]in annihilist porcupine He's a [puncture], he's a [rooster] The type woman want to be with, and rappers hope he get shot Eight years in the makin, patiently waitin to blow Now the record with Shinoda's takin over the globe He's got a partner in crime, his [cabbage] is equally dope You wont believe the kind of [cabbage] that comes out of this kid's throat He's not your everyday on the block He knows how to work with what he's got Makin his way to the top People think its a common owners name People keep askin him was it given at birth Or does it stand for an acronym? No he's livin proof, Got him rockin the booth He'll get you buzzin quicker than a shot of vodka with juice Him and his crew are known around as one of the best Dedicated to what they doin give a hundred percent Nobody really knows how or why he works so hard It seems like he's never got time Because he writes every note and he writes every line And I've seen him at work when that light goes on in his mind It's like a design is written in his head every time Before he even touches a key or speaks in a rhyme And those [bleep]s he runs with, those kids that he signed? Ridiculous, without even trying, how do they do it?! [Chorus] This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill Fifteen percent concentrated power of will Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain And a hundred percent reason to remember the name! [Chorus] This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill Fifteen percent concentrated power of will Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain And a hundred percent reason to remember the name! MyPurpleCrayon
"Point / Counterpoint" I've got a gun in my hand but that gun won't [rooster] My finger's on the trigger but that trigger seems locked and I can't stop staring at the tick tock clock and even if I could I would never give up. With a vest on my chest, a bullet in my lung I can't believe I'm dying with my song unsung. And if and when I die won't you bury me alone? 'Cause I'll never get to heaven if I'm singing this song. If there was something wrong would you be oh so strong? Would you do what it takes to move this hollow life along? I'd like to think I would, you know I'd like to think I would but I can guarantee that what you see is not reality and every time she makes a point, I make a counterpoint She said it's easy but in the end you'll have no choice and you know that's only just the way it goes You said it right man, That is just the way it goes And the days, and the days they seem like forever And the days, and the days they seem like forever But forever isn't ever enough!! I'd like to sing a song Promise you won't be long! I'll try not to be long but I don't want to get this story wrong There was a kid who never cared about the little things Don't even bother because I'm tired and I'm sick of it And every time she makes a point, I'll make a counterpoint! She said It's easy but in the end you'll have no choice And you know that's only just the way it goes You said it right man, that is just the way it goes I've got a gun in my hand but that gun won't [rooster] And my finger's on the trigger but that trigger seems locked and I can't stop staring at the tick tock clock and even if I could I would never give up. With a vest on my chest, a bullet in my lung I can't believe I'm dying with my song unsung. And if and when I die won't you bury me alone? 'Cause I'll never get to heaven if I'm singing this song. Oh, You don't know where I've been! Oh, You don't know what I've seen! If I did something right Would you give up this fight? Would you say you were wrong and maybe someone else was kind of right I'd like to think you would You know I'd like to think you would but I can't guarantee that what you get is an apology Jump back to the day we met I never thought that it would end this way If ever I let you down I want to ask of you To take it down a notch and we can talk it on through And the days, and the days they seem like forever And the days, and the days they seem like forever But forever isn't ever enough!! I'd like to sing a song Promise you won't be long! I'll try not to be long but I don't want to get this story wrong There was a kid who never cared about the little things Don't bother 'cause I still don't give a [cabbage] And every time she makes a point, I'll make a counterpoint! So tell me friend, how's it going to end? When the [cabbage] goes down and there's no one left around to get your back You'll crack You'll smile and agree with everything they say They'll try to tell you that it's all okay But it's not and you're shot and you're bleeding pretty bad And you can't stop thinking about the things you never had Like a wife and a kid and the things you never did You're running around You're living a life that's empty in the end, my friend No, You'll take back all you've said Oh, When the regrets fill your head Trust me I've been there before I would not wish it upon my greatest enemy What irony! Once friends, but I find You'll have to learn this lesson on your own So I waited by the phone but that phone never rang and I sang so loud so I wouldn't hear the bang When the bang never came and I never got the call [bleep] It! Thank You! I Love You All! Some are going to say that we're doomed to repeat all our past mistakes Great! But that's not me and even if it was I would always disagree Because in the end I always get the better of me I've got a gun in my hand but that gun won't [rooster] And my finger's on the trigger but that trigger seems locked and I can't stop staring at the tick tock clock and even if I could I would never give up. With a vest on my chest, a bullet in my lung I can't believe I'm dying with my song unsung. And if and when I die won't you bury me alone? 'Cause I'll never get to heaven if I'm singing this song. Oh, I'll take you where I've been! Oh, I'll show you what I've seen! "Bright Spring Morning" The time is right to begin Lets get going once again For once in your life just let go I'm getting sick of everything Tired of what the next day brings What I need is for you to follow my lead The sun is shinning bright outside I think I'll go for a ride I plan not to ever return Lets run away from here for good Forget this dusty neighborhood The open road is calling and begging for us Go roll down the window Go crank up that radio Lets drive until we hit the sky It's not about where we will go Lets start living life before we die If you want you can stay But you'll regret the day That you didn't follow your dreams Imagine the wind in your hair Blowing away all of your cares So take my hand lets plan never to look back. The sun is shinning bright outside I think I'll go for a ride I plan not to ever return Lets run away from here for good Forget this dusty neighborhood The open road is calling and begging for us Go roll down the window Go crank up that radio Lets drive until we hit the sky It's not about where we will go Lets start living life before we die True, it's all in my dreams Yeah You are all in my dreams Yeah What I need is a long holiday What I need is to get away.. >From here for good tonight Lets fly away tonight On this bright spring morning Send our spirits soaring Now is the time The sun is shinning bright outside I think I'll go for a ride I plan not to ever return Lets run away from here for good Forget this dusty neighborhood The open road is calling and begging for us Go roll down the window Go crank up that radio Lets drive until we hit the sky It's not about where we will go Lets start living life before we die ""Is This My Fate?", He Asked Them" Do you really [bleep]ing think that it's a choice, a way of life played by discrimination you're narrow-minded, quick to judge with bible belt tunnel vision This is ignorance failure to evolve is failure to us all when will you learn that this is where we fall failure to evolve is failure to us all when will you learn that this is where we fall where we fall "Is this my fate!?" he asked them they answered, condemning him to burn rejected, forsaken, for being [bleep]ing born I can't believe that this is still a question that needs an answer a bigot's eyes judging lives based on the sex of who you [bleep] This is ignorance failure to evolve is failure to us all when will you learn that this is where we fall failure to evolve is failure to us all when will you learn that is where we fall where we fall Burn (burn), burn (burn) judged and condemned to burn (burn), burn (burn) judged and condemned to burn When will you learn? will you learn? when will you learn? "Say "Ten" She's not eatin' bacon, not eatin' sausage And she won't eat eggs, not eatin' chicken Not eatin' turkey, she won't have a steak But I just can't help feelin' sorry For this poor little lettuce head You know, I can't stop cryin' cause I Know this broccoli's dead Vegetarian, I'm not a vegetarian, vegetarian... she's a Poor little cow, little sheep, little fish How can I sleep? when carrots are bleedin' Plants are screamin' and tomatoes cry You say "It's not so bad, they're only Vegetables", that's what you said Maybe I'm a murderer, but I'm hungry And they're better off dead Save a plant, eat a cow I want beef, I want it now! I'm gonna eat it cause it's red! I'm gonna eat it cause it's dead! Maybe I should eat it raw let the Blood run down my jaw I'd eat people if it was legal I'd eat people if it was legal! "Sell Out" [verse] well, I know you can't work in fast food all your life but don't sign that paper tonight, she said, but it's too late. And I don't remember what I read, don't remember what they said, I guess it doesn't matter, I guess it doesn't matter anymore. [chorus] you're gonna go to the record store you're gonna give 'em all your money radio plays what they want you to hear they tell me it's cool but I just don't believe it... sell out, with me oh yea, sell out, with me tonight record company's gonna give me lots of money and everything's gonna be (all right). [verse] no more flippin' burgers puttin' on my silly hat you know I don't want that no more, And I didn't ask when we'd get paid, I quit my day job anyway, I guess it doesn't matter, I guess it doesn't matter anymore [chorus] You're gonna go to the record store, you're gonna give 'em all your money, radio plays what they want you to hear, they tell me it's cool, I just don't believe it sell out, with me oh yea, sell out with me tonight, the records company's only give me lots of money and everything's gonna be. [bridge] I don't think it'll be so bad I know it won't be so bad cause the man said "that's the way it is" and the man said "it don't get better than this" no no no noo [chorus] so I signed on to the record company, they say they're gonna give me lot's of money, if I play what they want you to hear they tell me it's cool, and I sure believe it... sell out, with me oh yea, sell out, with me tonight the record companies gonna give me lots of money and everything's gonna be (all right). 1. Atticux
Blink 182 - Carousel I can relate to these lyrics alot, if you only ever listen to one Blink 182 song, make it this one. It's one of the first songs Tom and Mark ever wrote. I talk to you every now and then I never felt so alone again I stop to think at a wishing well My thoughts send me on a carousel Here I am standing on my own Not a motion from the telephone I know not a reason why Solitudes a reason to die Just you wait and see As school life is a It is a woken dream Aren't you feeling alone? I guess its just another I guess its just another I guess its just another night alone Now as I walk down the street I need a job just to sleep in sheets Buying food every once in a while But not enough to purchase a smile A tank of gas is a treasure to me I know now that nothing is free I talk to you every now and then I never felt so alone again Just you wait and see As school life is a It is a woken dream Aren't you feeling alone? Ryan
Five Iron Frenzy - On Distant Shores I have been scarred so deep by life and cold despair, and brittle bones were broken far beyond repair. I have leveled lies so deep, the truth may never find. And inside my faithless heart, I stole things never mine. If mercy falls upon the broken and the poor, Dear Father, I will see you, there on distant shores. I have toiled for countless years and ever felt the cost, and I've been burned by this world's cold, like leaves beneath the frost. On my knees I've crawled to You, bleeding myself dry. But the price of life is more, than I could ever buy. And off of the blocks, I was headstrong and proud, at the front of the line for the card-carrying, highbrowed. With both eyes fastened tight, yet unscarred from the fight. Running at full tilt, my sword pulled from its hilt. It's funny how these things can slip away, our frail deeds, the last will wave good-bye. It's funny how the hope will bleed away, the citadels we build and fortify. Good-Bye. Night came and I broke my stride, I swallowed hard, but never cried. When grace was easy to forget, I'd denounce the hypocrites, casting first stones, killing my own. You would unscale my blind eyes, and I stood battered, but more wise, fighting to accelerate, shaking free from crippling weight. With resilience unsurpassed, I clawed my way to You at last. And on my knees, I wept at Your feet, I finally believed, that You still loved me. Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make every new day seem so new. Yes, it's Christian, but I'm not religious so you [bleep]ers can buzz off :P. Scruffy5389
Metallica - Nothing else matters lyrics I love that song, but I've never found the lyrics especially incredible. My favorite lyrics, just to be different from all the other posts this thread will get, are as follows: My Bonnie looked into a gas tank, The height of its content to see. She lit a little match to assist her, Oh bring back my Bonnie to me!

How2PK
Hm, fav. lyricist (that's a word?) is Bob Dylan, so I'll just post up two song lyrics. Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me, I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to. Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me, In the jingle jangle morning I'll come followin' you. Though I know that evenin's empire has returned into sand, Vanished from my hand, Left me blindly here to stand but still not sleeping. My weariness amazes me, I'm branded on my feet, I have no one to meet And the ancient empty street's too dead for dreaming. Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me, etc. Take me on a trip upon your magic swirlin' ship, My senses have been stripped, my hands can't feel to grip, My toes too numb to step, wait only for my boot heels To be wanderin'. I'm ready to go anywhere, I'm ready for to fade Into my own parade, cast your dancing spell my way, I promise to go under it. Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me, etc. Though you might hear laughin', spinnin', swingin' madly across the sun, It's not aimed at anyone, it's just escapin' on the run And but for the sky there are no fences facin'. And if you hear vague traces of skippin' reels of rhyme To your tambourine in time, it's just a ragged clown behind, I wouldn't pay it any mind, it's just a shadow you're Seein' that he's chasing. Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me etc. Then take me disappearin' through the smoke rings of my mind, Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves, The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach, Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow. Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free, Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands, With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves, Let me forget about today until tomorrow. Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me, etc. How many roads must a man walk down Before you call him a man? Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail Before she sleeps in the sand? Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly Before they're forever banned? The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind, The answer is blowin' in the wind. How many times must a man look up Before he can see the sky? Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have Before he can hear people cry? Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows That too many people have died? The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind, The answer is blowin' in the wind. How many years can a mountain exist Before it's washed to the sea? Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist Before they're allowed to be free? Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head, Pretending he just doesn't see? The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind, The answer is blowin' in the wind. paul_wilson
Bubsa, i love that song. This one is also a great Pearl Jam song, Immortality. Vacate is the word...vengeance has no place so near to her Cannot find the comfort in this world Artificial tear...vessel stabbed...next up, volunteers Vulnerable, wisdom can̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t adhere... A truant finds home...and I wish to hold on... But there̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a trapdoor in the sun...immortality... As privileged as a [bleep]...victims in demand for public show Swept out through the cracks beneath the door Holier than thou, how? Surrendered..[Caution: Executable File]cuted anyhow Scrawl dissolved, cigar box on the floor... A truant finds home...and I wish to hold on, too... But saw the trapdoor in the sun... Immortality... I cannot stop the thought...I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m running in the dark... Coming up a which way sign...all good truants must decide... Oh, stripped and sold, mom...auctioned forearm... And whiskers in the sink... Truants move on...cannot stay long Some die just to live... ohh... and Iron Maiden - The Trooper You̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll take my life but I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll take yours too You̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll fire you musket but I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll run you through So when your waiting for the next attack You̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d better stand there̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s no turning back The bugle sounds as the charge begins But on this battlefield no one wins The smell of arcrid smoke and horses breath As you plunge into a certain death The horse he sweats with fear we break to run The mighty roar of the russian guns And as we race towards the human wall The screams of pain as my comrades fall We hurdle bodies that lay on the ground And the russians fire another round We get so near yet so far away We won̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t live to fight another day We get so close near enough to fight When a russian gets me in his sights He pulls the trigger and I feel the blow A burst of rounds take my horse below And as I lay there gazing at the sky My body̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s numb and my throat is dry And as I lay forgotten and alone Without a tear I draw my parting groan First and only pixel thinger I made. jammy316
Its my friend song of all time and means something to me which is why I posted =). (whispering) Kill kill kill, murder murder murder [Nas] Driving through the roads, Suburban Chevrolet 6 tinted windows, and I'm on my way To get up with my [garden tools], I pull up to they house Not a freak to be heard, nobody came out Ringin the bell, where in the hell Could they be at, I'm about to leave Steppin' slow, where my truck was at Who the [bleep] is that? Could it be a jack? Now pull my strap, it's my man And we have the same plan There them [bleep]es go Civic '94, looking funny though Open up the car door, funny smile [bleep] 2 already, 3rd [wagon] was heavy "Nas this is Sherri, Sherri this is Nas, and his man. Ready?" Walked in the house, snatched off they clothes Ran through them [garden tools] Plenty ice, that they all seemed to like Can't find my man, heard a blam blam Now I'm wonderin, "In this scam, do I even stand a chance?" He killed the [garden tools], took all they doe Fire in his eyes, higher than the sky Comin down the stairs Now he wantin mine, reachin for my nine Aiming with our guns at each others face, at the same time my nine on his lips, his fifth on my chin, I start whispering "Put your gun down, we can skip town" Rocked him to sleep, pushed back his meat Lift off his chain Took his [cabbage], emptied out close range... Chorus (4X) (3rd time there is no whispering of: "kill kill kill, murder murder muder.) 2pac - Changes Come on come on I see no changes. Wake up in the morning and I ask myself, "Is life worth living? Should I blast myself?" I'm tired of bein' poor and even worse I'm black. My stomach hurts, so I'm lookin' for a purse to snatch. Cops give a damn about a negro? Pull the trigger, kill a [racist term], he's a hero. Give the crack to the kids who the hell cares? One less hungry mouth on the welfare. First ship 'em dope & let 'em deal the brothers. Give 'em guns, step back, and watch 'em kill each other. "It's time to fight back", that's what Huey said. 2 shots in the dark now Huey's dead. I got love for my brother, but we can never go nowhere unless we share with each other. We gotta start makin' changes. Learn to see me as a brother 'stead of 2 distant strangers. And that's how it's supposed to be. How can the Devil take a brother if he's close to me? I'd love to go back to when we played as kids, but things change, and that's the way it is. [bridge w/ changing ad libs] (Come on, come on) That's just the way it is. Things'll never be the same. That's just the way it is. aww yeah... [Repeat] I see no changes. All I see is racist faces. Misplaced hate makes disgrace for races we under. I wonder what it takes to make this one better place... let's erase the wasted. Take the evil out the people, they'll be acting right. 'Cause mo' black than white is smokin' crack tonight. And only time we chill is when we kill each other. It takes skill to be real, time to heal each other. And although it seems heaven sent, we ain't ready to see a black President, uhh. It ain't a secret don't conceal the fact... the penitentiary's packed, and it's filled with blacks. But some things will never change. Try to show another way, but they stayin' in the dope game. Now tell me what's a mother to do? Bein' real don't appeal to the brother in you. You gotta operate the easy way. "I made a G today" But you made it in a sleazy way. Sellin' crack to the kids. "I gotta get paid," Well hey, well that's the way it is. [bridge] [Talking] We gotta make a change... It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes. Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live and let's change the way we treat each other. You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do what we gotta do, to survive. And still I see no changes. Can't a brother get a little peace? There's war on the streets & the war in the Middle East. Instead of war on poverty, they got a war on drugs so the police can bother me. And I ain't never did a crime I ain't have to do. But now I'm back with the facts givin' 'em back to you. Don't let 'em jack you up, back you up, crack you up and pimp smack you up. You gotta learn to hold ya own. They get jealous when they see ya with ya mobile phone. But tell the cops they can't touch this. I don't trust this, when they try to rush I bust this. That's the sound of my tune. You say it ain't cool, but mama didn't raise no fool. And as long as I stay black, I gotta stay strapped & I never get to lay back. 'Cause I always got to worry 'bout the pay backs. Some buck that I roughed up way back... comin' back after all these years. Rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat. That's the way it is. uhh [bridge 'til fade] Some things never change. 2pac Ft Dr.Dre - California Love Chorus -- Roger Troutman California...knows how to party. California...knows how to party. Peace
lol... Hip Hop lyrics aren't really the best for meaningful, 2pac can be, but you chose songs that aren't really meaninful to people who dont listen to Hip-Hop. I can't really think of too many lyrics that really touch me, little snippets get me thinking, but these are rare in Hip-Hop: Swiss: Look what happened to the mother land, they dont wanna treat blacks the same as another man Just because my skins a different colour and i dont change colour, but they call me a coloured man

That is just awful... Right, can we not flame someone's musical taste for once? Just for once? Is it too much to ask? Another fav. of mine: Come Sail Away - Styx I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m sailing away, set an open course for the virgin sea I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve got to be free, free to face the life that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s ahead of me On board, I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m the captain, so climb aboard We̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll search for tomorrow on every shore And I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll try, oh lord, I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll try to carry on I look to the sea, reflections in the waves spark my memory Some happy, some sad I think of childhood friends and the dreams we had We live happily forever, so the story goes But somehow we missed out on that pot of gold But we̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll try best that we can to carry on A gathering of angels appeared above my head They sang to me this song of hope, and this is what they said They said come sail away, come sail away Come sail away with me Come sail away, come sail away Come sail away with me I thought that they were angels, but to my surprise They climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skies Singing come sail away, come sail away Come sail away with me Come sail away, come sail away Come sail away with me This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
