The US and Britain pass a proposal to the UN that every UN member contribute 10% of their armed forces to the UN with the sole purpose of trying to end the outbreak of wars, which will also give the UN more leverage (besides economic sanctions and angry letters). Another idea was global disarmament and the abolition of war, although it doesn't look like the latter proposal will go anywhere since no country is really is willing enough in order to abolish its armed forces and trust its securities in the hand of another entity.

 

India is considering granting independence to its Southeast Asian protectorates and signing military treaties with them so the states are still protected from Japanese imperialism.

The proposal is a chance for the UN to become more powerful and help maintain peace, which can't be maintained if all it can do is send out embargoes, get their peacekeepers shot, and cry and beg the aggressors to stop being mean...
