The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)

Featured Replies

I think Japan declared war on Abbysinia actually...Since Yeman is now part of Abbysinia, but is being occupied by Japan.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I edited my post btw.

Well basically Abyssnia invaded Yemen for some reason, which Japan was still working to fix. GDP per capita had skyrocketed, and unemployment fell from 40% to like 10%. I'm pretty sure that people in Yemen would support Japan.

Yemen was part of Japan a year or two ago, and it was under its influence for many years before that.

Yea, this game is already getting whacky.

Oh, and why does that map say that Russia has 3/4ths of Mongolia? There is no way that would happen if I sent in my troops to defend when Russia announced that they would use military measures.

The SATO now keeps all but 5 tons of gold produced annually within it's borders. The mines are nationalized at this point.

Russia had already been invading for a while.

Abbysinia continues to be supported by rebels seeking to kick Japanese troops out after forcing them into jobs and taking away money from their royal family to set up strip malls.

Also Sere, I'll drop all US debt held by Brazil (around 175 billion) for 3,000 tons of gold. That's worth roughly 99 billion, so you save money in the long run. Alternatively, you can give us 2500 tons, and the falkland islands.

Mind speaking in way where they "should be" or they "probaly will be?" You're playing as a player in this situation. :P

Can you also say how many troops that Abyssnia said in its beach head assualt?

I think that the game mod (Sere) needs to decide on things like that, Archi. Otherwise it becomes a scream fest. I could say, MONGOLIA REBELS FROM RUSSIA BECUSE THEY DON'T TRUST THEM@@@@!1

Brazil isn't a major debt holder, though.

I'll think about it, but it would probably ruin me if I did that.

Japan will relieve 500 billion dollars out of 750 billion dollars worth of debt, and reduce interest rates on the rest, for 5,000 tons of gold, which is about 150 billion I think.

It's one of the top 10 holders I believe. I'll lower the price to 2000, and the islands if you want.

Meh, its my country now, they do what I say.

Oh I would say around 5... Hence why they easily got past your massive army which materalised.

Brazil is within the top 4 individual nations, after China, Japan, and Britian. If you call oil exporters and the Carribean nations, then it is 6th.

What the heck Archi? Yemen was part of Japan for several years by now. Anyways, if you think about it, the placement of troops is very logical. Out of one million active troops, a hundred thousand in a country is a fair fraction.

I'll have to think about it, although I'm currently looking into other avenues in order to pay off the debt over time, such as slashing the military expenses. The goal is to create a stabler country, although I still highly value my superpower status.

Sorry, feeling vindictive.

Anyway the fact is that stationing stupid amounts of troops somewhere would be terribly stupid, because the supply line would cripple you.

Also, Retech... Wouldn't you have trouble with suicide bombers since Yemen holds Islamic militant groups that may view the Japanese as their oppressors?

No worries Archi, happens to everyone sometime, especially me. :P

A hundred-thousand troops isn't a silly amount of troops, especially since they are being supplied by the country hosting them. The other 50,000 were reinforcements for the Africa conflict that never happened.

----------

Well of course there are suicide bombers in the Middle East. However, that situation was mostly (I say mostly, because it's impossible to get terrorists out completely) resolved because generally when the economy is prospering and people aren't actually being oppressed (I guess they could view it that way if they wanted, but who would when their wealth just doubled), terrorists are much fewer in number.

Hehe, I just figgured a way to do fast inter-stellar travell without using FTL or breaking any physical laws.

Scandinavia starts a time dialation research at SIRO TEMP.

Mather the reason there is no inter-stellar travel, is cause we don't want it, even if you make it possible, we wont allow it

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

The five Abbysinains in Yemen being to recruit followers from the downtrodden masses....particually the people who are now heavily in debt thanks to the GDP boom.

Meh, the principle I'm basing it on would be helpful anyways, think a way to emulate the opposite effect of time dialation.

Unfortunately for the Abyssnians, they discover that the GDP boom never happened. They were simply misled by their government. The Abyssnians are quickly killed by the mob, consisted of people who thought of the Abyssnians as a bunch of war-like people who would drag them into hundreds of wars.

Abbysinia calls on the UN to sanction Yemen for the killing of Missionaries.

Also slightly worried about 'the mob' surely gangsters would not have moved in already...or is that who you are allied with?

Honestly, Arch, I don't know what's gotten into you but you seemed a lot more calm a week ago.

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

Japan petitions the UN to not recognize Abyssnia, due to the fact that it was formed by a militaristic action. They also ask that the UN authorize Japan to secure its borders against Abyssnia, because they are trying to destabilize the region.
