They are mindless robots, Retech, they aren't supposed to be too expensive. I even think Ross exagerated a bit.

Exosuits are worn by people...

Well we can figure that out when the time comes around.

The Japanese government has issued a mandate to Mitsubishi and other industries, to be able to produce a number of exosuits based on the amount of money the government currenly funds them with. The factories will be issued with standard manufacturing equipment and the technicians will be trained for free. The goal is to be able to produce a hundred-thousand exosuits per year, at full capacity with every industry participating. This includes Honda-Toyota as well, so even car companies are given the capacity.

----------

Also, keep in mind that a decent tank costs about 60 million dollars. If a few exosuits can match that...then it doesn't make any sense to build a tank, even though tanks are clearly more efficient.

(I think you turned this into a money and manufacturing game, not a population one. :P)

The only difference between a disagreement between friends, an argument between strangers, and a feud between enemies is the ability to reconcile.

Glad to know people are pretending to know what they are talking about

Exosuits would be worth a few million each...They are high precision bits of kit...and would probably need to be matched to the user...So you are talking about hand made suits, rather than mass produced machines...Also the testing would have to be fairly strenuous...don't want a bridge, that you are holding up, to collapse on you when the servos give out...

Then there is retraining, since obvouisly it will be different in a suit than not in a suit.

Then there is the gun scaling and all that palva....You are probably looking 2-4 million per suit, in total...for a good suit anyway...for a one size fits all suit which doubles strength you are looking at 100-125k...Course such a suit would be totally ineffective against anything bigger than a tall man, and would offer all the protection of a kevlar vest...So...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

New Anti-Stealth Chemical Bombers have been sited off British Coast! (Reads Newspaper Headlines)

It has emerged that a Teenage Briton attached a sheep to a bunch of Helium Ballons and let it go. Some hours later the sheep relieved itself over Birmingham, causing a major traffic accident. The sheep's ballons were later shot and the sheep plunged into the Irish Sea. Wildlife activists have been keen to point out that the sheep would have starved to death anyway.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Useless fact:

Sheep can't swim, their anuses aren't watertight.

OK I have been away, and I lost track, I'm not reading like 20 pages so I'm only going to ask about things that concern me, PM me or just quote it if you have the answer.

Is anyone invading me?

Is anyone invading a country near me?

How's the war in Mongolia going?

Is the economy [bleep]ed?

ALSO

I dont get what my projects were, but my robot workforce is done, increasing my GDP as more people flock to production jobs as mundane jobs are being filled with AI. Sanitation is now better and life expectancy is on the rise causing a population growth of 0.1% as less people are dying. To combat over age people soaking up money, you can't retire unless your 65, unless there is a valid reason. If you wish to continue you can and such.

Other news, railguns are being placed in strategic places around the Russian borders, some are being shipping off to be used in Mongolia and also the battery which allows them to be even more effective is still under production for the next year.

ALSO, can I ask someone a question, its private I'll PM you it, I'm just wondering and I don't want anyone stealing the idea, but you need to know at least some economy to tell me if it can work.

Now that I have free budget left, I will begin new projects.

A HUD eye piece, like on most marines and things you see, and I think somewhat like Ross is designing. It tells them key info on the terrain (yeah basically what Ross is designing or made) and has different modes that can be changed from buttons along the side of the eye piece. Its fixed to their helmets. This will take between 2-3 years

Also a turrets that can fit onto cars that use railgun technology, I will make it so the recoil from the turret does not turn the car, it will take a year.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Exosuits should not cost 250 grand. That's the cost of like 3 javelin missiles. Atleast a few million.

In other news, unemployment skyrockets in Russia as workers are pushed out of their jobs by robotic labour-machines. Mass protests against the government break out all across Russia, and labour unions go on strike.

Honestly, Icu, doing that would cause huge unrest. Especially since you never actually created any jobs that the people losing theirs could fill.

Oh cause moving everyone out of sanitation and crap jobs like that, the ones NO one likes, into a new company I made not to long ago?

Theres lots of jobs open... Jesus...

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

Kicking a number of people who work long hours for low pay out onto the street is not a recipe for a good country.

And what new 'company' did you create that will fill millions of jobs?

A multinational car company? Also, perhaps I shall rephrase, as I can see where you'd think where I'm doing something bad.

How about I push people out after they secure a job into a more productive sort of job, the process should take half a year or year?

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Yes that's better. Throwing out the entire workforce that provides the frame work for a society would cause massive unrest. It would be like a country in medieval times getting rid of all their farmers, lol.

Retech, that means that the car companies will need to create new factories, which the govornment might as well do anyway. Since car production machines can't create exosuits, by doing that you are essentially creating a middleman where one is not needed.

Icu, mass producing that many robot workers with the precision needed to do the jobs assigned to them properly with very few factories set up to produce said machines? You might as well just tell your economy to bend over.

2Xeo5.png

Ico, don't say 'force out' say 'given an incentive to'...Ie you give everyone who leaves Job A to join Job B a 40% Tax Cut... You lose a bit of money, but then most people have moved jobs, you slim down the Job A market, shrink the tax cut, and done... two years down the line you get everything you want with none of the strife...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Waited like 3 years maybe 4, theres not that much... They work quite a while, which I know its energy consuming, but it probably covers the same amount the people earned while doing the job, maybe less, and as though people are going into production, which is earning money... I'm essentially boosting income, and sanitation as robots dont make mistakes :) and are 100% efficient. Also they aren't just doing sanitation, they do taxi driving with gps technology, basically mundane jobs that people don't really like to do.

@Archi

Its jobs that people only did cause they had no real other choice... Do you like cleaning crap? If you were doing that, would you swap it for production? Most likely. So most people will be flocking to the car jobs, so I don't have to give benefits.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Scandinavia starts sending troops through Russia to attack North Korea. They'll start the attacks by aerial assault on the cities closer to the northern border.

Oh he's not asking... On topic: So Icu you are artificially creating jobs? On a side note the German banks are now acting as normal (I have been slowly lowering interest rates on their money until it is ~1% and raising interest rates on loans to ~2%)

LNYvk.png

No Grim... We basically had minimal work force in the car companies... So many jobs are open, as its multi national and thus we have to supply lots and lots of jobs... I'm not just giving car jobs away, I'm sure theres openings in other areas, maybe even military production...

So no, not creating jobs, just switching them around.

ALSO, before anyone says, "its better to have robots making stuff" they already practically do, people have to man them, and this also creates jobs in the sanitation where people have to man the robots, but not in the actual sewer. So I'm just creating better jobs, increasing GDP. Jeeezzz

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Ico-

Not neccessarily...super easy job, something my father or mother or someone might have done...On the opposite side there is a need to retrain and all that stuff...People like you to spell it out for them....Tax Cuts are the government's way to get people to do stuff, without anyone realising...

Anyway, if the jobs already exist then wouldn't they have moved already... Meaning you are sort of screwed because no one is doing the jobs no one wants to do...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Argh, its cause they wouldn't of really wanted to get out of their career, as they had no guarantee of having that job. But if they're being shown they can have that job, as long as they leave this job, yeah training. What like a week? It doesn't take years...

The plan takes half a year anyway.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Icu, you apparently manufactured enough robots to full almost every non-production job without having set up any factories prior to that. Also, no matter what, this is going to cause huge civil unrest, since people don't like being moved around like that, so it would take more than half a year. 3 years would be pushing it.

There is also no way in hell you can have a robot for every single sanitation or whatever job.

2Xeo5.png

Ah...so the government is forcing them out of their livelyhood and treating them like serfs....or Communes...I think the Russian people will be slightly unhappy about that.

You will also rather annoy all the Mafia and such...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
