The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)

We all realise anti-radar tech exists. Mirrors only stop lasers to a certain extent, and yeah, anti-missile can be lasers or other missiles.

If he coats his missiles with mirrors they're gonna be real expensive and easiley detectable, also they still heat up, only not as fast

Or I could just magic some tech up... Or maybe Diplomacy was code for Diplomacy...ie talking, not fighting...

Anyway, using my new Diplomacy Missle, Abbysinia 'attack' Oman, hoping to annex it within 5 years.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

The Abbysinan and Oman Ambassadors are seen shaking hands and talking warmly. More questions are raised about the SSR's mental state.

The S-Net is ablaze with rumours about the war in Oman, such as when will it start, who will Abbysinia and Oman be fighting and which side the SSR will be on...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Hm.

Poland has invaded Belarus. They are using weapons funded and provided by the SR.

Every nation in the world has come under seige by the mole people, using weapons and equipment provided by [name withheld].

Awesome! Greek, with all its economic trouble and collapsing infrastructure, has decided to use its severely under-paid army to invade a foreign country rather than stabilize their own. Riots continue going on unchecked in Greece, police are over-whelmed, and the whole country collapses.

The SR quickly moves in troops to stabilize the country, and promises to help the Greek people get back on their feet.

Well that doesn't much matter to me since jet engine planes are obviously superior to prop planes.

Have any records of this? I doubt it.

Also, that's a good idea. Cyprus attacks the SR. The SR easily defeats it and takes over.

...Can we stop this silliness now.

He's just reinforcing my point that proxy controlling countries is stupid and game-breaking.

Why would I have the records? Are you insinuating that I had something to do with this?

Turkey funds itself to go to war with itself, taking itself over easily and doubling its GDP. Also, it goes to war with the SR, and since horses are more efficient than cars it takes over easily.

Yes but hovercars are more efficient than cars, so your entire invasion force drowns in a small puddle.

Dusty+Rocco, I know you don't believe in understanding a concept before you use it, but...what can I say...I am an educator....

In any case life goes on for Abbysinia and Oman.

Scandinavia begins creating space-station sections.

This will be a new station unless no one joins, in which case they'll be mounted on the ISS.

Damn.

Then this is the new ISS, or at least COSS (<-hover mouse above to see meaning).

I am working on it Rocco

Mather the UN would have something to say about that...

Why? It's a research station, not an orbital nuclear silo. The UN doesn't control what I launch into space.

All of you mathematicians - how would I do:

2x/x^2+1 = 2/3

?

I'm stumped.

----

Divide the X out of the first term

2/x + 1 = 2/3

Subtract 1

2/x = -1/3

Multiply by x

2 = -x/3

Multiply by 3

6 = -x

Divide by negative one on both sides

-6 = x

I actually understood that when algebra was mentioned, at first I thought it was something Rocco found on wikipedia.

Errr, I thought that after the first round of political annextures, they were banned? So basically Rocco can finish his, but you can't annex Oman? Or did we sorta scrap that.

I don't think we banned it...Ico banned annexures in Asia, and then cancelled that....Probably what you are thinking of.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Yeah Asia annexs are allowed again, in my books anyway :)

Also

Mather can build a space station, the UN wouldn't really agree to you guys building stuff on the moon now would they?

So if thats allowed, Mather's space station is, also I'll join in, if you want Mather :)

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

I'm pretty sure that Sere basically said, if you're annexing a country, then they'll attack you. Oh well, since we're scrapping that...

The Malaysian leader has recently been found dead in his office, a bullet in his heart. Sources trace it to Chinese arm dealers which have been smuggling weapons into the area. Japan condemns the killing and the arms dealers, calling on China to prosecute them for facilitating this heinous crime.

An election is being held between two leaders: the protoge of the deceased Malaysian leader and the leader of the opposition party.

The platform of the protege is simple: continued support of India and relying on their support to prevent Chinese invasion.

The platform of the opposite party is quite different: gain support of the Japanese-Pacific Constitutional Republics to ward off Chinese invasion. They note that Japan would go to war to prevent India from stationing troops in Malaysia, so to what lengths would they go to prevent the Chinese from invading?

Inadequate polling methods have not produced any adequate prediction, with some polls going as 90% for one party, in both directions. The election is expected to take place in a few months, and both parties are spending heavily. The RFA and the governing party versus Japanese propaganda, the opposition party, and the word of mouth from relatives living in Singapore, who are mostly favorable of the Japanese.
