The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)

Featured Replies

Japan thanks Brazil for its aid against the tyrannous military Junta of Nigeria.

Across the country, Japanese students numbering over a million, learned and sang the Brazilian national anthem. This is second only to the massive celebrations of the union once yearly, on Unification day.

------------

Japan replies that it is its duty and obligation to help the Ivory Coast and Ghana, and backing out would be cowardly and hypocritical. Japan also notes that the conflict is only taking place in Nigeria, and any actions against any of the nations outside of Nigeria would constitute war, where homelands would be attacked. Japan does not wish for this to happen.

Japan also asks that Turkey does not intervene, as it is incredibly hypocritical, considering Japan overlooked the fact that Turkey just invaded several countries with no Causus Belli.

Japan points out that soldiers have been specifically instructed not to attack enemy soldiers within cities, minimizing civilian casualties. Japan points out the hypocrisy of Turkey's position when Turkey has been attacking other nations with no Causus Belli, while Japan has a clear one: a military obligation to Ghana and the Ivory Coast.

Japan does not reply.

It is expected that Japan will not retaliate unless Turkey does first. Japan sends a message to the UN that Turkey is abusing its intervention as an excuse to declare war on Japan, since the war with Nigeria is completely justified, while intervention could possibly be justified, Turkey's plan would cause infinitely greater casualties than any conflict in Nigeria.

Japan recommends that if Turkey wants to intervene, then they should come and fight in Nigeria, rather than endangering civilians in a full-scale war.

Ghana, Japan and the Gold Coast invade Nigera.

With the highly suspect deployment of over 5,000 landing craft by Japan the attack was sounded and the war begun.

Nigerian troops, despite being firebombed on a few occations, took up positions in numerous cities considered to be important to Nigerian Independance. Japan, with its force of 75 Stratos Jets subsquently left all but 4,000 of the Abbysinan forces alone. These two divisions, based at Minna and Sokoto, had been dispatched to patrol the boardland for attempts from Ghana and the Gold Coast to invade via land, after Togo and Benin gave permission for their forces to advance though their lands.

Abbysina has consistantly spoke out against the firebombings in the UN and gained widespread support after the real life burnings of Abbsyinan soliders were broadcast on S-Net. The situation was made considerably worse by these soliders having been recorded, earlier, in conversations, games and other activities with the Civilians. The Nigerian people are celebrating Abbysina's continued involvement in the war against the barbaric enemies.

In further displays of barbery the retreating Abbysinan forces were bombed continually until they reached the city. Heart breaking pictures of Soliders begging for water and medical care were broadcast direct to the world.

Both Ghana and the Gold Coast have distanced themselves from the Japanese war campaign and have chosen to back down over the conflict.

One spokesman said 'We went into this war to avenge our fallen leader, we did not go into it to maim soliders.'

S-Net continues to report on the surviour's conditions from the Hospital in Kano after the Soliders were dressed as civilians and transported across the country via a clearly marked medical convoy. The Japanse forces did not bomb this.

Japan continued its amphibious assault in the south, but made little progress after the firebombing incidents as neither Nigerian or Abbysinan forces were willing to leave the cities. Further complicating matters was civilian insurgencies, with the Moltoving of Japanese troops and tanks. Also broadcast via S-Net but recieving much less critical feedback owing to the fact that Civilians were doing this, shouting things such as 'Have some of your own medician Barbarian!'

S-Net continues to report the shooting of Civilians, though Japan continues to justify that they were armed and dangerous.

The Japanese assault has made relatively little progress, with Yenagoa, Warri, Ondo, Aba and Calabar the only cities captured, along with Port Harcourt, Owern and Benin City under seige.

Thus far casualties have mounted as 3,000 Abbysinans, 235 Nigerians, more than 200 of which were civilans, and 180 Japanese.

Abbysina has continued to support Nigeria, despite its casualties, one Major saying 'Even if we withdraw now the Japanese will fire bomb us, so we might as well try to do what little good we can. We were only here to keep the peace, and we have partly succeeded, at least we are not looking at 3,000 Nigerians and Japanese lying dead.'

Abbysina has again pleded with the United Nations to do something about this intolerable situation.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

A single night wolf squad is sent into the conflict in portugal, to assess the situation and report back.

Dawn guards are immediately alerted to the attacking of civilians in Nigeria, and will be sent in to defend them if nothing is done to rectify it.

The Japanese emporer goes out onto his balcony and admonishes his soldiers for using fire bombs, especially since Japan doesn't have any fire bombs.

Meanwhile, the Japanese fleet withdraws from the conflict (not the entire thing, just the fleet), and the soldiers retreat to the aforementioned defensive line.

They state they will withdraw when the head of the Nigerian government steps down.

------------

Japanese military leaders also call in to remind the military that civilians are not to be harmed, no matter what. Soldiers are withdrawn into the countryside, to wait for the Nigerian army to fight them, to minimize casualties.

The German-Franco government reminds the UN about the deeds of abyssia in it's war of conquest throughout africa and dryly remarks "You seem to be strong enough to subject half a continent under an iron fist but you cannot beat off a simple force of soldiers?"

LNYvk.png

"One does not field prop fighters against Stratos Jets, when it would only endanger the airmen who fly the missions. We cannot oppose Japan's air superiority, trying to would be sucidal."

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Japan once again calls for the Nigerian leader to step down, stating that it would avenge the deaths of the two African leaders at his hand. If he resigns, and someone from outside his administration steps in, then Japan will withdraw from the conflict.

Nigerian Ambassador to the UN:

"Nigeria will not admit to knowing about the plot to assassinate the leaders to Ghana and the Gold Coast. We had nothing to gain by it, except our demise. We don't know who did this abhorant thing, but we request that the United Nations look into the matter with the upmost urgancy"

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Japan demands that the Nigerian govermment apoligizes for the assasinations, for denying them would be like denying the Ivory Coast and Ghana even existed.

The people watch with anticipation.

Abbysina's responce to Germany:

"There are times, times when men and women of good conscience cannot stand idle. We may lose this conflict, but we cannot and shall not ignore this war as you evidently can."

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Nigeria asks the United Nations to investigate the matter before any further action is taken.

"We shall not be browbeaten, the truth will win out and when it does we shall ask for your apology."

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

The German-Franco state replies "Yes and we should not have stood idle when you forcibly conquered half of africa in a mad thirst for power!"

Abbysina

"Madam speaker, please, do we have to listen to the tirades of a nation who condones the destruction of Nigera?"

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Japan withdraws from Nigeria, stating that Nigeria and the UN are two peas in a pod, and it would be impossible to be victorious in an unbiased argument of facts.

The only difference between a disagreement between friends, an argument between strangers, and a feud between enemies is the ability to reconcile.

"I do not condone the destruction of Nigeria nor would I have stood idle if the war had claimed any more civilian casualties" replies the german representative. "My sole point is that we should not tolerate those who massacre rebellions and then claim great wounds from a far smaller war" He then goes on to say "Far more people have died in this time from easily preventable diseases the developing world than from this misguided attack by japan and I personally think that should be our priority!"

LNYvk.png

The Japanese emporer apoligizes to the families of the Nigerian civilians killed by the invasion, stating that their lives should not and would not have been forfeited if their government had taken responsiblity for the assasinations. He also wishes well for the people of Nigeria, who have had to live under their corrupt military government.

Meanwhile, Japan lambastes (critisizes) Abbysnia for its hypocritical actions, where stopping the overthrow of a government responsible for murder is charitable, while forcibly invading other nations of Africa is good?

Japan suggests that they add a barrel to the weapon, a trigger, and the ability to shoot bullets out of them. Then maybe they would be useful for a conflict.
