The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)

Featured Replies

The War in Mongolia continues to develop as Russian and Chinese Troops manoeavure about the country, seizing towns and cities with the Mongolian people largely disperate at this point as which devil is better.

The Russians troops surged forward from Naryn, across the boarder and into the province of Hovd, before spliting with half travelling to Dund-Us, taking the city unopposed, and half travelling to Altay. A second thrust began in Moron, a city captured by the Russian at the beginning of the conflict, the army then advanced south, passing Uliastay, also arriving at Altay. At Altay the Russian 15,000 men and women laid siege to the city, while the 16,000 Chinese defenders held up inside the city, with neither side making any attempt to break the stalemate.

On the other side of Mongolia Russian forces advanced out of Choybalsan and proceeded to captured Tamsagbulag and Baruun-Urt. Interestingly enough this may have seriously stalled the Chinese Offensive launched some days later.

From the city of Ondorhaan the Chinese launched an offensive aimed at Choybalsan, which was left defenceless after the Russian forces had departed earlier. Then 30,000 Chinese troops began their long trek to Bulgan, but took the road via Baruun-Urt, and thus were tied up trying to take the city from the Russian defenders. This marked the only direct conflict between the two sides and resulted in the withdrawl of the Chinese troops to Choybalsen after sustaining some 3,000 casualities, as opposed to 500 Russian casualities.

However this force was only meant to be the reinforcements to the main push from Arvayheer to Hadasan and then on to Bulgan, before finally arriving at Moron, some 20 Kilometes south of the Russian defensive lines.

You can either use the simple map above or you can use this map to plan your next set of attacks.

Preferance on the complex map, and double preferance if you attack from where you troops actually are.

In Uzbekistan the bombing of the Capital(Capital with an a, not an o....Americans...) has killed two hundred and eighty people. Gurrilia action in the occupied territories has spilled over as insurgant forces rising up in pockets of the country

The United Nations has called on the International Community to intervene in this war of aggression, but thus far no nation has been willing to commit troops.

The noun capital1 refers to a city or town that is the seat of government; to a capital letter as opposed to a lowercase letter; and to wealthor resources. The noun Capitol refers primarily to the building in Washington, D.C., in which Congress sits or to similar buildings used by state legislatures.

I have 9,000 troops fortified outside of Ulan Bator, though I assume that neither side touched them, as they're only their to protect refugees or civilians.

It's 9,000 from the Brazilian Rapid Response Force, which is the special ops division of the newest hypermodernized branch of the military. So they're basically the best of our best.

Ulan Bator was avoided by the Russians, so was left entirely unharmed.

9,000 troops seems a bit supply heavy though(Just saying)

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

They were dropped in with enough supplies for a few weeks, and a few more shipments are going to be coming soon. Given that their near the capital, they can probably get food if they need too.

Cool. Just 9,000 seemed a lot.

American only has 49,000 combat troops in Iraq, along with 78,000 support staff.

Which happened to be in one of my lectures so just flagged itself up.

The SR continues to not give a [cabbage] about what happens outside of its borders since cars are better than horses, and so can can defeat any foreign invasion, economic takeover, diplomatic annexation, or any other silliness.

All projects continue as normal. Dusty668 continues to drink his beer and eventually pass out watching the Evil Dead trilogy,

In Uzbekistan the bombing of the Capital(Capital with an a, not an o....Americans...)

Capitol = Complex in which the legislative process takes place

Capital = The seat of the Government (In the USA, it refers to the seat of Government in a State or the National Capital)

;)

You may have noticed someone getting the words mixed up. It's a lot like how some people cannot for the life of them differentiate "they're", "their", and "there".

I think the USA did some infrastructure work in Latin America (Central American Republic) and Mexico.

No clue how much better off Latin Americans are, though.

EDIT: Is English your first language, sage?

yushhh...

Japan vetoes the nation splitting idea. I'm pretty sure you need a Perm Security council spot to veto anything.

Japan replies to the UN that any deforestation taking place in Indonesia will be repaid three-fold in planting Mather's evergreen trees in the mountain. Meanwhile, Japan accepts the title. It asks nations to convert their gas tanks to a mix of algae fuels, electric cars, and hydrogen-fuel, so all kinds of energy efficient cars can be used. Meanwhile, Japan requests that nations begin switching out of gasoline powered cars, specifically the Federation.

Japan responds to the critisism of Japanese involvement in Africa by stating that many of these nations have become additional growers of algae, with Japanese expertise. Furthermore, Japanaese intervention has increased living standards and lowered corruption.

Sage; cause it was [bleep]ing hilarious in response to Ross'

Wait, for that nano spring idea wouldn't carbon nanotubes be needed? Since they can't be mass produced yet (I think there might be one person on this thread who can, but I can't remember who) it would be very difficult to use effectively.

Australia continues it's projects, with new genetic mods under development, and exoskeleton improvement and such.

It doesn't need verification...it already exists today! (2009) If it's out on the internet, then it's probaly a few years behind anything the government has, so I think it doesn't need confirmation.

I'll send it to him anyways though, one second.

Japan begins developing short-ranged stratos fighters, to combat the growing threat of unfeasible stratos bombers. They are expected to be completed within a few years, due to the massive research budget going into them, and their shorter range.

Just noting when I started researching Stratos fighters. :D

Argh, I dont get this war system :/, you said a load of my attacks went unopposed, yet most of the places where I actually took anything have fallen under China.... Yet there was only 1 direct conflict..

Can you send me like a big report on whats actually going on, cause I fail to see why my plan didnt work when most of my attacks went unopposed

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Icu, you both took the side your countries were closest too, so generally, the attacks in the area that you went for (The area closest to your border) was taken roughly unnopposed.

 accepts japans idea of using better energy efficient power, cutting costs by 200 dollars pers 10 sqaure miles. swords and stavves and bows researched for zealots, training in progress to learn how to use em. fielding more gunweilding troops and researching better weapons, may take a year. infrastructure going ahead of schedule, dropped down to a year and a half. oh and thats it, till i think of more realistic things.. EDIT: also, realizing that nano tech would be hard to produce, decides to make a small ammount of bowmen and a larger ammount of catapults with the springs, may be easier and cheaper. still going to take a year to 2 years.

You have access to salt power now as you have scientists in SIRO TEMP, that is power generated by keeping 1/3 salt and 2/3 fresh water apart using a membrane, generating only brine water as waste.

decides to incorporate salt power as well, and by doing so more people join the cult, gaining more zealots. guns working well, training still under way.
