Mechas are rather pointless too.. Knocking them over pretty much renders them useles...not to mention the legs would be a seriously complex peice of engineering...Far better to just use a set of treads and a big gun...cheaper too.

Archi first off There is no way in hell that you could get all of the other eurpopean countries in this game under your command using switzerland in one year. Secondly I am annexing switzerland and will very likely continue with that action. Third off I highly doubt that the countries will join another alliance as the E.U. already exists. Third you cannot godmod even one country to join you in one year. The minimum would very likely be two to three. (Note as I find more I may edit into this post)

EDIT: Also I doubt that the whole "unified europe" thing would hold much sway because I already suggested that (at least partially).

Annex doesn't generally mean an auto-win...but you're still probaly going to auto-win in this scenario.

I just read that this game is like real life politics now, meaning all those NPC countries, are still owned, as in you CANT annex them right? I only read the first page and this page, so excuse me if I miss something.

Well you can always annex something...it's just a point on whether they accept that you're annexing them and if they're fighting back or not.

Check the wiki pages I have 10 times the population of switzerland and as I have reinstated the german draft among females in a year (poland is being taken in peacefully due to economic help) I should have roughly ten times the trained soldiers as switzerland.

Btw Poland would never accept annexation by Germany without a fight.

I have checked the Wiki pages. Switzerland has 400,000 militia members, and you have 200,000 trained armed forces. So basically you're about even, except that he is on the defensive.

You can change your government when starting, but try to be reasonable with it. Also, try to come up with a back story if you can because it makes everything a little more interesting. For example, if you, an imperial regime, toppled the communist regime in China, talk about the Revolution that brought an end to the PRC.

 

For my back story, I just talked about how everyone was angry with the Republicans and the Democrats and decided to vote for a nationalist party that was above "bleeding heart" policies and "consumerist corruption" and supported the "re-establishment of the Anglo-American culture". Now, the New American Party is the most dominant party and is creating a series of reforms.
