Education reform withing the SR is going well, also. Many students have begun seeking work with their lengthened free time. Jobs are readily available due to the rapidly booming economy of the Republic, and this move has led to an increase in productivity within the workplace by around 1-2%.

 

Many companies and corporations within specialized industries that formerly held headquarters and manufacturing centres in Geneva are setting up in the Slavic Republic, after having leaving Switzerland (kind of expensive to get trucks built in Switzerland out if you have to drive over a couple hundred minefields on the way). In Swiss news Steven Newton has set up Newtonian Computers and it has incorporated in Bern. It only sells to Switzerland, uptake has been limited thus far, but being it has been open for the best part of 5 seconds this is unsurpising. Analysts indicate that all foreign computers will be removed by 2019, simply due to them being out of date. The Swiss Computers make use of the S-Net Operating system, though courses in computer programming are becoming increasingly common and so analysts indicate that by 2019 computers Swiss computer interfaces and application lists will be so incredibly diverse that compatibility issues will almost certainly exist. As such it is coming with all Newtonian Computers.

In trivia the Newtonian Computers are the first computers to use Oil-Free Plastics, though the majority still use oil based plastics as cost is still somewhat prohibitive....though people who care about the environment don't make much distinction....The Middle Class don't mind either.

 

Switzerland has invited a SSR delegation to Zurich to discuss a gradual hand over of the international baton of banking. Permits have been issued for the delegation and the SSR delegation has been offered use of a Stratos Jet to enter Switzerland.

Also on the table is the issue of electricity, as it seems the power line though Austria and Hungery is not particularly safe, given the massive voltages, and these two countries have expressed concerns over being able to keep the powerline operating admids fears of it killing people...which seem fairly reasonable. Unless the gold I mine is going out on the international market it isn't going to affect the gold price too much, it would rather add value to my currency.

 

Silver will probably be used in equipment due to low value.

 

That reminds me; Swedish, Danish, Finnish and Icelandic currencies are no longer produced, though they are still valid in Scandinavia, all mints making them shall make NOK instead ("leftover" NOK is going to the banks in order to maintain value(meaning they're their but cannot be owned, only loaned)).
