Seems to be quite a few glitches. On the other hand, it sounds like a lot of fun once they hammer them all out.

I'm not sure how I feel about this game tbh. On one hand, it's miles ahead of what COD will ever be, has beautiful PC graphics (Console is awful, but there isn't anything you can do about that), and is quite fun to play. However, on the other it's lacking a lot of key features. The lack of PC voice chat, squad menus and the ability to access the menu during loading or death are problems, and it feels more like BC3 than BF3.

 

Will a GTX 570 be able to max Ultra with 4x AA? Right now my 5830 won't even work, and my 460 will only play High with Ultra Textures and low AA, and I get FPS drops during explosions and big firefights.

Console still looks pretty good. I mean you can't judge a game strictly on graphics... But the fact that you can't join a game with your friends/squad from the menu is pretty annoying. Any time I tried, we either ended up in separate games, or different squads. Also, I think the killcam lingers around way too long. Yea, I get it, he killed me can I please spawn now?

After putting a little more time with each class I can say this. Everything is very balanced. I don't find the semi auto sniper rifles to powerful anymore, the kick back on them balances it. I also LOVE how much time it takes to level up each class. Requires a lot more work then I expected. All the weapons feel right, and work as they should. When the minor glitches are fixed and the game is in its full polished form the game will be amazing to say the least.

What? Maybe you should buy a new monitor/tv, because the draw-distance is fine.

Xbox is just fine. Quit comparing it to PC ffs. No [cabbage] PC is going to look better, it has way better equipment. And I can see from the first subway platform [b station] down to where the hole goes out into the opening just fine, what are you talking about?

 

And personally, I think the PP2000 is a little OP. Seriously, I've been taken from 100% to 0% with two shots, neither of which were headshots. Pretty annoying.

At least they have some form of matchmaking now, if you pay attention right before a new game starts it shows the teams mixing. Still bad, as it's still common to get beat multiple times in a row, but better than nothing. I don't know how it does it, but they seriously need to balance it BY RANK. YES, HIGHER RANKS ARE BETTER ON AVERAGE. (DICE y u do this to us)

So the console demo is out? I'll have to give that a try.

 

This should be awesome to play, if it's anything like BFBC2 was. It's a shame my old squad is disbanded now and one of the members is dead, those guys were awesome, and I'm sure the one would've loved to be around for it.

What I'm wondering is where the [bleep] was the alpha? You can play the beta for 5 minutes and already find a host of glitches, how did they miss it all in alpha testing?

Alpha was restricted to PC players only.

Also, when you fix a bug, you sometimes create more bugs. Nothing can be perfect.

Don't get me wrong, I love console. But I can't play a game supposed to be based on long range combat when I can't even see the enemy. Maybe it's only the tunnels that have this issue, because I never had a problem with BC2.

Why would I try to defend an unstable product of a game? I was talking about coding in games in general.

Compare this beta to for example the Reach and Gears 3 betas. Those were released a lot farther away from launch and were a dozen times more stable and had a LOT less glitches. BF3 is only about a month away from launch and yet they have this [cabbage]ty beta. But hey, at least they will be able to release the game before MW3 this way, right?

Yeah. I have noticed it is VERY glitchy compared to other betas. It feels as if it's rushed. I had that same thought when I first heard that the beta was being released so close to the release date.
