Just got done playing some more and the gltches are becoming more annoying. Just played a game where someone got under the ground at the start of the game near the A M-COM. Somehow we got pass, but it was very annoying to get passed him...and 3 other people :mellow:

Well known glitch. You just walk onto the indent near the green wall thing and you'll fall through. Happened to me accidentally. You die eventually as well, I believe.

hnnnnng. using a bolt action sniper, if not getting a 1 hit kill close up to the chest wasnt bad enough when i fire somtimes it dosnt fire, the trigger is all the way down, fire you [bleep]ing piece of [cabbage]

 

also that spot to get underground is so annoying the area you can get under is massive and even if 1 person goes down there the squad norm spawns on him and will never leave. can nades hit people under the ground?

 

also also, [bleep]ing rambo revivers are [bleep]ing annoying, every [bleep]ing time i get rambo rev'd some [bleep] camper kills me

Sure, it's good looking and very fun to play, but I couldn't for the life of me explain WHY it's fun, so it gets disqualified for using black magic.

'Nades can kill you in that glitch spot. I haven't died automatically there yet, and I've spent an entire round there (trololololo), you CAN kill yourself by trying to throw a grenade and it gets stuck, but that is rare.

 

To whoever asked what range I was killed at with the PP2000, I've had multiple instances with long and short range deaths. A few times they just turn the corner and I'm dead.

 

And I don't think connection is everything. I've put six rounds into a guy, only for him to turn around and kill me in two shots. Muzzleflash, the "fft fft" of bullet impact, and the little glitch with the bullet streaks staying in air are my sources.

And wow, people really aren't kidding about the mk 11/svd. They are ridiculous. I wonder how the sv98 will handle...

There's no reason to use the sv98 if it's two shot kill half the time just like ths mk 11/svd which can shoot a lot faster.

Just got 3 mvp rounds in a row. I'll admit I got lucky and got on the better team, but man were the other kids bad. It's like they don't understand the basic concept of cover.

also. muting people needs to be easyer and faster. going all the way in to their gamer card and hitting mute takes way to long + you cant really see if anyone is coming at you. mic spam is so annoying

Anyways disregarding the paranoia bit Origin is still a non-issue. I have it added as a non-official game on steam, named it "battlefield 3" and thats it. You don't even use Origin for anything but to go to the battlelog. It's stupid that it requires something like that, and I would prefer a steam version, but I'm not about to just not play one of the best FPS games this year because I'm afraid Origin will see that I play a lot of starcraft or something.

The game isn't that great. Yes, yes, I know, it's a Beta.

 

The glitches are not my issue. My issue with the game is simply the amount of [cabbage] you have to install and go through just to play. It's bad enough to have to install a client for one game, let alone have to open Firefox everytime to play and having to DL a browser add-on. It's a terrible idea, why not cut the [cabbage] and just have the server browser in-game?

 

Another issue: You cannot access squad management or the server browser in-game. Why not? This feels like such a step backwards.

 

The game in general just feels like BC3. This is the sequel to the almighty BF2, one of the best war shooters of all time (at least IMO). They stripped it down too much. There's no commander mode (meaning no UAV, no artillery, and no supply drops), no squad leaders, very limited squad commanding, no mod tools, fewer classes, and just less complex in general compared to BF2.

 

They traded all that in, and for what? Trees falling when grenades explode next to them. The destruction thing is cool and all, but I'd much rather have the complexity of BF2.

There are UAVs*. Just not in the Beta.

Also, this does not, in my opinion, feel like BC3.

Maybe Bad Company sped up.

As for not being able to access squad management/server browser in game, I'm sure there's a reason. Game devs don't just [bleep] around, they do things for actual reasons. Ask them if you want to know.

Some people are calling it a Bad Company 3 instead of a Battlefield 3 as a sort of insult. I'm just saying that the game does some stuff better than the beta is doing. The class menu is a lot better designed in BC2 and the squad system also works a lot better.
