Might trade in Dead Island tomorrow and pick it up for $39.00, or i might just hold off not sure yet.

I don't trust IGN for a second. I'll wait until Gamespot reviews them. They normally give more critical reviews than IGN's "they paid us so we are saying nice things". I haven't trusted IGN since they gave The Conduit an 8.6.

Around 157MBish day-one-download. Nice lol. Left at 11:45, home at 12:30. I'm happy. Another thing, the game is one two discs. One for co-op and multiplayer, the other for single player.

 

EDIT: after about 10 minutes of playing the campaign, I must advise: when it gives you the option to download the HD option to your xbox, DO IT. The campaign doesn't look too great :S it's kind of laughable how much they changed the first mission so much... I really need to install that hd bit...

I was hoping to play tonight, but I'm only 50% of the way downloaded and unfortunately I can't skip school tomorrow. I'll pick up my 360 copy tomorrow afternoon, along with a pair of X31s to replace my broken XLCs. I'd definitely be down for a tif squad, just be warned I sound like a 11 year old girl over Xbox Live.

Anyone who gives a CoD game a 10/10 deserves to be shot in the head through a solid brick wall.

Messing around on Caspian border, I realized piloting jets, on the Xbox, isn't too too hard. It's rather easy.

 

Single Player is...Interesting. I don't know what to think of it yet. I'm only on the second level though. Will play more tonight.

My brother picked up a copy during his lunch, so it looks like I'll be playing it sooner then I expected. I was originally planning to purchase a used copy in a month or two or grab one off ebay when someone got sick of it. I'm just hoping I don't have to buy a stupid online pass to play multiplayer if I want to use his copy.

Oh and another thing, the game looks beautiful.

The texture pack sure is nice.

Traded in Dead Island and got $36.00 out of it at Best Buy somehow. I was surprised when I only had to pay $27.00 for BF3 so I don't think I can go wrong.

[hide]The ending was kind of meh. Sort of a cliffhanger, since we don't know what happened next, unless it is revealed during co-op (there is an achievement for disarming a bomb in 20 seconds so...). The "final boss" was just a bunch of QTE's, but oh well. I felt bad when Malchovic and Campo died. When I shot down the jet I went from "Heck yea! That was epic!" to "OH GOD NO!!!!"[/hide]

 

Other than that, the graphics were pretty darn good for a console game. Had a minor issue during Thunder Run where the tank's turret kept sliding one direction and wouldn't stop. Was very frustrating. AND THE SHELLS DON'T HAVE BULLET DROP WTF. Messed up so many times due to that.

I can't get my disc to play online for PS3? The game case came with a code to activate it, but the game doesn't give you a place to type the code...does anyone know what I'm not doing that I should be?

GPU overheating perhaps? Does the computer have enough air to breath?

When I clicked multiplayer it asked for the code. If that doesn't work you can just go to the store and redeem the code.

The game plays amazing well, no lag and or issues to speak of. It looks sounds and feels amazing.

Second off, I will check into that after I get done watching this show. I haven't found any lag whatsoever. Only issue I've had is when I've played is starting a game. When I go to start, the game says I have lost connection, but as soon as I start a second time it works perfectly.

I've been playing on my brother's PSN, but I'll start working on my PSN account tomorrow. I believe I already have you added, but I'll double check. I'll send you a message or something.

I got my online to work, for some reason last night the redeem code screen wasn't popping up. whatever

Got the Xbox version. I dominated, but I kept losing connection to the EA server. Hopefully it's just a Day 1 issue.

 

I'm going to try cranking my GPU fan to 80% with the new drivers. If not it's back to the 5830. If only I had my Xfire setup back...

The graphics are great for PS3 at least. The single player campaign is a bit too cinematic, it's more like a movie than your actions making much difference. I haven't touched the multi-player yet as the servers are pretty much filled to the brim and lobbies are having trouble staying open. Of course that's just the first day of release vibe really.

 

They removed private lobbies for launch and will put them back in at a later patch, which I'm looking forward to so my clan can start Gamebattles matches. Otherwise, this game is really living up the hype so far. They definitely set out to make a different game than Bad Company 2, and it's that effort to change things around that I admire in a developer.

i heard the 2 starter snipers got nerfed a bit and are now 3-4 hit kills
