Using the G36C and found I'm doing better than with the SCAR.

I unlocked the mortars. I'm having too much fun with them. I went from a .94 K/D to like a .72 because I'm staying back and mortaring when I should be actually playing the game lol

Just need to be careful of other mortars. If you can get them, they can get you, and it's almost always a "first one to fire gets the kill", although there have been times where I've traded kills with someone. Pro-tip, look in one area on the minimap, and if you see a white mortar blip appear for half a second, send a mortar there. That's where the enemy just set up a mortar position, allowing you to get them before they can get a shot off. :thumbup:

 

Also, the game counts mortars as a vehicle for some reason.

Are the mortars like an actual mortar, not these stupid binoculars from BC?

They're the mortar tube station thing.

Any idea if there is a site that will let you have your dog tags as a signature, and automatically update? I like my current one, just without the white... I don't have photoshop, and cbf with paint (lol).

my problem is I'm having so much fun raining hell on further targets, I dont see the guys come up and knife me #-o

Got together with a few friends on Xbox a couple nights ago. The game is so much more fun when you have a squad to work with. I was playing battle medic, which is good for points but not so good for k/d (not that I care).

Grand Bazaar (I believe its called, the really tight market place map) is one of my favourites now. Had a few good matches on it last night where I actually had a squad of randoms who helped out with ammo and whatever which has been kind of a rarity in the games I've played.

I have to say my favorite map is Damavand Peak on Rush.

Love that base jump.

 

Also, when are the back to karkand maps coming out? I want my fix of Oman and Wake island. :angry:

i really need to get some kills in a jet to unlock stuff + get some practice flying it, but every time i get in a jet i die before i can fly for long. or the enemy jet is watching our jet spawn, and he destroys it once it spawns (good idea but so [bleep]ing annoying)

Was never a fan of Tehran Highway though. Just way too open for my liking. You start walking and can get instantly sniped.

this is my feelings exactly on both accounts. Metro is awesome, especially when you start on the cafe side of conquest. holding the ticket check area is the most fun of any game type of any map

I kind of like Seine Crossing, and am not a real fan of most of the maps... at least for playing conquest.

EDIT: What made the game so amazing was the fact there was actual teamwork used. That just made the experience so much better.

As long as it's hardcore, I like that map. It's hectic and fun once you get past the first set of stations.

 

Why is it servers in the "East US" region have one bar of ping, but servers in Europe have four? Really annoying, since a lot of hardcore servers are in the east us.

Metro is just a map that has nothing to do with what makes Battlefield great. Vehicles, destruction, open maps with the ability to flank. Especially the last. It's way too narrow, especially the underground area.

I think if they had implemented a way to allow a LAV into the map like they showed in the first multiplayer trailer that was based in Metro, it could be better. The LAV would work for every set of stations except for the third, which is why they probably took it out. It's a real shame.

I understand where you are coming from, but I feel as though this idea has gone by the wayside. The game need to have both wide open areas and narrow passages, and in my opinion it has done an amazing job mixing these in the game. It makes the game more varied which is needed in this day and age of gaming.

I understand where you are coming from, but I feel as though this idea has gone by the wayside. The game need to have both wide open areas and narrow passages, and in my opinion it has done an amazing job mixing these in the game. It makes the game more varied which is needed in this day and age of gaming.

again, I completely agree. Metro bring both elements of flanking space and bottle necks for an all around experience. Every point in Metro has atleast one alternate route, and with a little team work a lot of fun can be had. Granted, playing this map with a sloppy squad isn't much fun, but if you can work together, holding the choke points is an amazing feeling [equally awesome if you break through the choke point, set a radio spawn point and raid the support troops planted in the back field]
