February 4, 201016 yr Ok, so recently, I was at the Barbarian Village hunting for the sceptre pieces. Meanwhile I had took my friend along on the adventure. About five to ten minutes in he finds a scepter piece. At first I'm like congratulations. Then 30-40 minutes later, I still have not receive a sceptre piece. This really made me mad. P.S. I'm 10 levels higher thenhim. So about now I'm really mad and about to quit when all of a sudden my luck turns around. I find one then about 3-4 more. This made me angry that it did this to me. Sure, the drops finnally came in but it took me 40-50 minutes longer then him and I'm almost level 60 now. I'm just wandering...what's jagex's rarity of these drops? I mean what the crap he had 1 sceptre in 5-10 minutes and it takes me 40+ minutes longer then him when he was like level 49. I'm just mad about that...
February 4, 201016 yr Much of Runescape is based upon chance. Sometimes things will come slowly, other times quickly. Get used to it. quit
February 4, 201016 yr Also, the drops aren't dependent upon your combat level. It's all just based on luck, and it just seems like you had a bad case of it. I'm sure you'll get a good drop soon that'll make up for it. :)
February 4, 201016 yr Was he rocking the mith scim? Noobs: We pay we sayJaGeX: How much will you pay?
February 5, 201016 yr OMG i think we should ask jagex to make higher levels get sceptre peices fasterrrrrr....... not actuallly
February 5, 201016 yr First of all, the place is called the Stronghold of Security. If you're fighting in Barbarian Village, of course you aren't going to get any scepter drops. Second of all, combat does not matter at all. It is all based on luck. And lastly, if this drives you mad, good luck on finding all 4 pieces of the scepter... February 5, 201016 yr Heya im F2p and so i dont know if it is different of P2p but here is the run down of how welll the parts drop.Right skull - dropped like crazy by minotaurs (easiest tot get)Bottom of sceptre - find a place and start wackin the bone crushers (decent but 10-15 mins easy)Top half - safe range catablepons and it will take veeery long (hard to get)Left skull half - Ankous ...... It drops when it feels like it.... "nuff said Hope that helped
February 5, 201016 yr It took me forever to get all the pieces as well. It's not dependent upon your level, it's the fact that sceptre pieces are fairly rare drops, so they won't be lying on the ground after killing just one monster. Apparently, you're new to the concept of an RPG but in most RPG's there are rare drops from monsters that you get, I'm assuming, based on a percentage. So if you have a 2 percent chance of getting a sceptre piece, you have a one out of fifty shot at one, but even then, it might take more. That's one reason why you don't see many people walking around with sceptres, they are hard to get and you have to work diligently towards it. I probably spent an hour fighting minotaurs to get my sceptre piece, and then I killed two ankhs to get my last piece. It is not at all a problem, nor is it a really relevant complaint. It's just how the game works, and it has a purpose.

February 6, 201016 yr Your ignorance of probability is shocking. So I flip a coin 100 times. The first 99 times, the result is a tail. For the last flip, what is the chance of me getting heads? No, the answer isn't "very high chance" or something like that. It's 50%. <_< Think about it. What makes the coin have this sudden "urge" to turn heads for you just because it has been tails for 99 times in a row? A coin isn't human, it doesn't get sick and tired of doing something. I was thinking the same exact thing, but decided this was the wrong forum for poetry. If you were not clearly a seal, I would have fallen in love with you months ago. But a seal you are, and I actually support the Orcas, sorry.

OMG that was awesome! can I use the last bit in my siggy ? and to OP: Drops anin't lvl based, its all about chance/luck. hang in there! I don't know which mod did this. I don't know why they did it. If they're looking for money, I can tell them I don't have any as I'm a student. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over 4 years of RuneScape. Skills that I have worked hard for and people like them can't take them away. If they give me my particles back now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for them, I will not pursue them. But if they don't, I will look for them, I will find them, and they won't like what'll happen

February 24, 201016 yr First of all, the place is called the Stronghold of Security. If you're fighting in Barbarian Village, of course you aren't going to get any scepter drops. No need to be an [wagon], you knew what he was talking about. Second of all, combat does not matter at all. It is all based on luck. Actually you can kill more monsters per hour at a higher combat level so it attributes to a higher chance of getting a specific drop per hour due to monster volume kills compared to someone of a lower level. And lastly, if this drives you mad, good luck on finding all 4 pieces of the scepter...>Implying finding 4 pieces of the scepter pieces are hard to get 99 Hits, Attack, Strength, Defence, Mage, Summoning, Slayer, Ranged, 96/99 Prayer
February 24, 201016 yr Lol before the game died I remember I killed Ankous for the drops. I had like 200 left skull halves but never got any of the other pieces.
March 22, 201016 yr Drops Are Not Determend By Level, A Level Three Has As Much Of A Chance Of Getting A Rare Drop As A Lv 138 (All Be Tge Level 3 Would Have A Hard Time Killing The Monster) Its All Random. If You Are Going For A Rare Drop, Might I Suggest A Ring Of Wealth? Proud To Have Once Owned An Untrimmed Agility Cape

If You Are Going For A Rare Drop, Might I Suggest A Ring Of Wealth? If we'd be in-game I'd tell you your Caps Lock is on. Why on earth would you take the time to write like that? First off if you'd quit over not getting sceptre pieces when you want them then I suggest you quit, right now, go to you mom and tell her you need some parenting because you have the spoiled-brat syndrome. Secondly the verb you're looking for is wondering, not wandering, those are two totally different things. Just like 'than' and 'then' are two totally different words, which you do not seem to understand. FInally, Quelmotz gave a great explanation as to how luck works. Luck doesn't care about your combat level. It doesn't care about your wants or needs, it just doesn't care about you or anyone. P.S. you're really only supposed to use 'P.S.' after the end of your written text, since it means 'Post Scriptum' which indicates you won't just continue writing after the noted message. Actually you can kill more monsters per hour at a higher combat level so it attributes to a higher chance of getting a specific drop per hour due to monster volume kills compared to someone of a lower level.Yes, but point still stands. No matter what combat level and no matter how many kills, the drop rate is exactly the same. >Implying finding 4 pieces of the scepter pieces are hard to getFor the OP, yes.
