Star_Fox
Okay so they introduced a new update call constitution w/e. so basically i am really ticked off at Jagex for "ruining" this game so I wanna leave runescape for good. for you psychiatrists out there, I need a compromise. I need a good reason why I should quit this game. Please don't give me lame reasons like "b/c i need to get a life" and all that crap. I really enjoyed playing runescape but now I want to end it. The main reason why I haven't quitted yet is because runescape is like my only talent. I am good at it and its theonly thing I feel "god" in so I would really hate it to let that go and become someone that nobody knows...I have played runescape for 5 years and I was planning on making it a legacy.I wanted runescape to become a part of me that everyone knows but now I know thats not possible anymore. I really want to quit without feeling "any" regrets whatsoever. Alright now that we got through all that junk, here are my details if it'll help. rs details -I played for 328 days STRAIGHT.-I played since 13 (18 now)-none of my irl friends play-my total is 2039-my bank net worth is 450M+ irl details -i get sucky grades (3.5 GPA avg)-i suck at sports-i have no friends (aka: loner)-im an introvert
CampbellMC
Back in September I grew tired of the game and decided maybe it was time to be done with it. You are kind of left with the question, "Well what else am I going to do with my time?" People will say to just "get a life" but who actually spends all of their time out and about with friends. When I decided just to try with a week off at first (I completely cleaned out my bank and bought 3rd age on my accounts) it went well, I felt like trying to do more and of course that helps when you are able to hang out with roommates (and after a couple weeks I got a girlfriend). I just stayed off as long as I wanted to, which lasted about 6 months, and even now that I am back I don't play on my main, I just mess around on my pure a bit. If you really want to quit you don't need a reason really, it is healthier to quit, sure take that one. Try taking a break, clean your bank out a bit to make it harder to come back, and see how long it lasts.
snowboarder
k well first off dont drop any of your items, because even though you want to quit now, 6 months from now you might want to start playing again. (i've dropped all my stuff after quting, came back and had to start off with nothing.) if you wanna quit just do something else. Play another game, like on xbox or something like that. If you got no friends then dont bother making them now cause people have their clicks and stuff around your age. im 18 to so i'd know. Just try and pick up something else to do that you might enjoy. But dont get rid of your stuff, cause one day you may want to come back.

I forgot to mention that the part of the reason why i'm quitting is because of graduation and of course, going to a college where my tuition is 48,000 bucks...so yeah. i might not come back in 6 months or maybe 2 years, but who knows... If i pick something else to substitute runescape, it'll just recreate the problem so I don't want that. Besides, all gaming companys seem to be in a slump right now (especially Nintendo..) @Campbell, i like the idea of messing around with your pure acc, but what I really want is to quit this game/content entirely without having problems about it. Education, however, will always be useful.

I didn't start playing on my pure till after the 6 months, and that was basically just cause I was stoned all the time and wanted something to [bleep] around with. Arieondor
You're arguments sounds somewhat silly, but I am going to avoid starting a flame war... Anyway, here are my thoughts: -You could always get a part time job. That will sure keep you busy as well as earn you some money. -This could be a good opportunity to raise your "sucky" grades as well as explore other hobbies... (I myself was proud that I graduated with a 3.5 gpa).-Nothing wrong with having no friends, some people just like to be alone, but find something that you can do by yourself if you wish. IE I took up photography and I love it, it has now become my focus of study at school and I enjoy how I can do it with friends or by myself. Bladewing
If you really want to quit, change your recoveries and email address to gibberish, then once they're confirmed, change your password to gibberish. jsboutin2
If you really want to quit, change your recoveries and email address to gibberish, then once they're confirmed, change your password to gibberish. That would be idiot if you think there's the slightest possibility for you to want to quit. Write a gibberish password on a sheet of paper, then put it somewhere safe, kinda out of reach, so that you'll think twice before replaying. mister_moocky
Why does an extra digit make you want to quit? If you enjoy Runescape why would you want to stop? I've taken some lengthly breaks myself but I'd never want to quit. quit

I've taken some lengthly breaks myself but I'd never want to quit. because this game is splitting from its original formula where it was the thing i wanted to play when i'm bored. now i just don't feel it anymore. the passion is gone becausejagex has to keep alienating their game every single week. i'm just fed up with it. la la la
Ask yourself "Why?" Until you reach a dead end. Theoretical- Why do you I play RS? To get levels Why do I get levels? To kill bosses and other players Why do I kill bosses and other players? To get good stuff Why do I get good stuff? To have fun when i play Do I have fun when I play? That's all it boils down to. There is absolutely no connection between Runescape and real life, and once you leave the computer, nothing carries over. There is nothing you can put on a job app and nothing you would even want to brag about to your friends.
purekilljoy
Pick up a fun hobbie, do sports that you might enjoy, outdoors for example. You'll meet new people like that aswell. as for your RS account, just leave it be, don't drop anything or stuff. I took a lengthy stop from playing myself, for 3 years, exactly the same reason, the game wasn't as it used to be. Now, in addition to my uny and work, it's just a good past time to unwind from a stressful day. :)Good luck
theone_ian
trust me, dont let your account get buried, because you WILL come back eventually. I've taken plenty of breaks only to come back because i get bored. Get a job so you get some money, and maybe play rs once in a while. If you get a job, you will meet people. Ren
Job, Working out, Smoke plant, Become a regular at a place where you think people might like you (card shops, arcades, game stores with pay to play consoles/pcs), (hard one) get back together with old friends and/or classmates, it can benefit you but is extremely hard to do..at least for me. Yeah, that's what I do/plan to do, and I'm almost in the same situation, so.. Best of luck.
