No noobs bothering u in lost city except ones which want to buy dragon longswords although i never see why since they make no profit! Cost of one is 100k all i can say is that someone must be desperate to give someone profit like 5k or something lol!

now my personal favorite town is seers village. i just like it there. and it only takes 5 airs/air staff and a law to get there. now the most useful town is ardounge, with good coal and iron mines nearby and a furnace, ranges, theiving places, and my favorite, the legends guild. but if i could become king of any town, i would choose varrock because it is a very popular and frequently-visited town and i'd have a nice castle :P

Not enough love for Shilo village in this topic, Great Crafting facilities, fastest Fishing Exp, sweet slayer master, Closest furnace to bank (well, before Phasmatys, but still like 2-3 steps closer >_>, 20gp to use though. RS's only true Hotel >_> A great vacation spot, with wild natives ready to stab you.

I enjoy crafting, and im f2p, so my two favorite areas are falador (near craft guild) and Alkharid, since it is very self-sufficient for crafting...has a tanner, a shop, mines for silver and gold to the north, a bank, furnace, gem stall (i actually find people selling gems there, which i pick up at great bargains), a shop to sell stuff like leather items which few people buy. All that is missing are sheep and spinning wheels for ammulets.

Plus, I like the whole desert feel to Alkharid...very different compared to the rest of the Runescape World.

I have many favourites (note: These are F2p only since I am a F2p player)

Varrock: Lots of business here. You can bet on you will find something you'd like to buy there and you can access the wilkderness quick. Has 2 banks

Draynor Village : Quiet peaceful. Lots of friendly people. Willows nrar bank. Coal in lumbridge swamps for people who can't enter mining guild.

Falador : 2 banks. Take you ore from dwarven mines and smelt in town. Thjen immediately smith them at doric's.

Lumbridge. Best place to sell newbie stuff. Talk to people who just died and hear their story.

Edgeville. Bank there is wonky and different from all other F2p banks. I like that. Lots of clan wars in wiklderness. Man house to train combat.

Al kharid: near populated mining spot. Has furnace. near bank. tanner.

My favourite would be Ardougne, as it's got stalls to thieve, anvil (west ardy), furnace, mine (northeast from the east gate), the cat-buyer, CROMPERTY! (rune essence), close to a farming area and loads of other stuff which i've forgotten by now.
