I will continue to roll for things that do not involve the oracle, until I get all the posts for the oracle (so I can calculate).

The goa'uld each take some jaffa with them and search the ruins carefully and thouroughly.

In the basement of one of the ruins, strangely, there is a pool of centuries old blood. It's moldy and digusting by now, but it's no doubt blood...of some kind. There appears to be some sort of knife made of a strange metal nearby, also caked in blood.

"Perhaps this would be a good idea, prior. So be it."

The scouts are instructed to take a boat and explore the island. Research begins on crossbows and continues on perfecting the certain mixture. (how does research work?)

Congradulations, Ikana has become a theocracy.

(Research works when I roll on it when you first post it, and every year after that. The difficulty of the roll depends on the advancement of the research)

The scouts spot several ruined towers, and a strange race of humanoid creatures with strange fishy things nearby.

A jaffa piks up the blood then the goa'uld attempt to invent something soft, round, hollow and long (the hose).

The Jaffa pick up the blood and play with it for a while, before putting it back. The goa'uld have nothing to make it out of. A group of strange humanoid creatures seem to be preparing to attack you.

"Who do you think they are?" says one of the jaffa. "They aren't even using weapons!"

Your scouts begin their strange hand signs and gestures.

The scientists tries using sewn-together intestines (eight meter per adult!).

The goa'uld among the groups tell the creatures to stay down unless they want to be hurt and that they would rather like to befriend them.

The jaffa prepare their c'bows.

The scouts make peaceful gestures, and try speaking to them in the Ikana standard. They ask, "Who are you?"

The jaffa prepare their c'bows.

The intestines start falling apart when they are used. The Goa'uld begin talking to the creatures, while the jaffa prepare their crossbows. The creatures tell you "Your Mothers look like non-sentient crabs." before giving them the "hand".

(Earth, you can still post about your settlement group if you want)

The scouts prepare to throw the several firebombs at the creatures if they continue the hostile gestures.

The fishy things start gurgling again, and your scouts chuck your firebombs. You cannot see what they have done, because they seem to have released a lot of smoke.

The hand? You mean the finger?

The goa'uld respond "Don't you mean obese snakes" then laugh, "No seriously, they do". "On a more serious matter do you wish to join us or become target practise for the jaffa here?".

Well I was assuming Goa'ulds don't have fingers.

The humanoid figures start chucking strange pots at you. The goa'uld start to laugh, before the pots burst into flame. The goa'uld and Jaffa begin retreating back to their camp.

If any of the creatures get too close, the scouts detonate the firebombs on their belts in order to kill themselves. If not, the scouts look for some more resources on the island.

my settlement group set up a shrine, while the green special moves to follow the herd beasts.

The shrine is set up, and the greens follow the herds. One of the greens can't help it and takes a bite out of one of the herd beasts, before being magically crushed into a little blob. A mysterious figure appears in front of the herds, and they stop moving.

"These are my master's cattle. If you can't keep your hands off them, I'll have to stop you."

Goa'ulds look like snakes, not fish, and they always use hosts.

Dammit Paul, it's me!

The jaffa start taking the blood out using buckets.

The blood is removed and placed into buckets. (Have the jaffa returned home yet?)

(Oh lol, I guess I met mather :P)

The scouts toss more firebombs at the strange creatures. If any of the creatures get too close, the scouts detonate the firebombs on their belts in order to kill themselves.

Your scouts chuck the rest of the fire bombs at the retreating creatures, possibly killing some of them. The scouts wait for more instructions.

READ THE WHOLE POPULATION POST!

Spewers - succeed

Archers - fail

Hunters - encounter Yetis

Biofluxes - Success (reduces starvation rate next year)

"Adapt or destroy the Scathe, nothing is permanent. It is your duty to change others or be changed!"

Everything else succeeds, except the bow stuff fails, and the poison thing to destroy parasites has only limited effectiveness.

The scouts retreat on the boat, sailing back to Ikana. The king sends an expeditionary force, consisting of 20 pikemen, to the island. They are each given two firebombs in case any creature tries to take control of their body. If this happens, they are to set off the firebomb and die an honorable death. Once they arrive at the island they are instructed to search for resources valuable to the kingdom.

The figure points at the sky. "Why, he is over there. Why don't you speak to him for yourself?"

The jaffa dump the blood outside and head to paul's scouts, staying outside of range they offer peace.

The scouts appear to have fled the island. On another note, your jaffa have now contracted century-old STDs. The ruins seem to resist any attempts to add materials to it.

The Yetis start hollering and throwing rocks down on your hunters, forcing the hunters to flee. The other things are research items, and will be rolled on once a year.

The twenty pikemen search around, and find a mineral deposit of currently unidentified substances.
