The Daeka yell towards the wall: "Hello there! Who are you?"

They also ask for Adakkar to change their voices, if need be, so that the beings on the wall may understand their language.

The Daeka yell towards the wall, and a scribe comes down to examine them. Surprisingly, you have a similar language as the other race, probaly as a result of a similar physique.

The jar is filled with water and placed in the slot.

The wall is made taller.

70 jaffa and five catapults using explosive shells attack the mining humanoids and their guards.

The jar doesn't seem to do anything with the water inside. The wall is made taller, and the attack begins (I'll roll on that tomorrow)

The guards at Ikana tell the creatures to not make any hostile movements before a scribe goes down to write up an examination on them.

The smiths decide to wait on making the siphons. The guards at the mining operation throw some firebombs at the catapults, and go in phalanx formation, preparing to attack the creatures. (mather you have explosives as well?)

The guards tell the creatures, before the scribes write down the examination. The guards retaliate against the Jaffa (I'll put this in the daily report I do tomorrow)

The Daeka greet the scribes, and demonstrate their ability to shapeshift by changing and reverting their plating and forming, then removing secondary arms. They also describe their living styles, technology, poisons, and capabilities. The say they are glad to finally meet more sentient "Children of Adakkar," and that they look forward to future communications and mutual learning.

The scribe writes down everything about the Daeka, along with drawings of their physical appearences. After doing so, he sends the scrolls to the royal archives. Another 50 pikemen and 100 grenadiers are being trained. The smiths of Ikana try making broadswords and lage square shields out of the iron found on the island. The smiths continue working on perfecting smithing with iron. A scribe keeps track of the progress with the iron, writing down notes and its properties.

- Work on large stone walls around the entire city of Ikana continues

- The cartographer continues to map out the desert and the nearby areas

- Construction continues on the grand cathedral

The Battle

The forces of light began their assault in two different points of the Scathe stronghold, with the following forces:

Force 1- 2 Juggernaut

5 warrior high priests

100 horsemen

100 anti scathe infantry

Force2- 1 hero

10 warrior high priests

100 horsemen

100 anti scathe infantry

100 heavy infantry

The first force encountered a large force of Yetis, which was quickly dispatched the juggernauts. They skirmished with the main body of needlers, which dealt a surprisingly large amount of damage. An unexpected development: though the godly protection did help, the infections often resulted in the death of those infected. After this surprising turn of events, and the thick poisonous gases, the first force withdrew to a position high ontop of the mountain rim, which was more or less shielded from the poison gases. One of the juggernaughts was infected at the joints, and fell apart.

The second force was much luckier, and fired a barrage of light bolts over the top of the mountain, before beginning their march down the mountain. Despite the protection against the poison gases, the lack of oxygen was still a problem, and they fought with less combat efficiency. They were ambushed by a group of Scathes sent to attack them from behind, repulsing the Scathe with heavy losses. They are currently camped out somewhere in Scathe territory. The camp is hit repeatedly be breathe attacks.

Earth's forces arrived in their full splendour, using their various breathe attacks against the Scathe in the valley below. Their attacks are aimed randomly, as the thick cloud of gas obscures their vision of the Scathe beneath. The Scathe can not manage to reach the elementals flying high above the valley.

Current forces

Grim:

Force 1- 1 Juggernaut

5 warrior high priests

60 horsemen

80 anti scathe infantry

Force2- 1 hero

6 warrior high priests

20 dismounted horsemen

80 anti scathe infantry

60 heavy infantry

Ross:

25000 Scathe (Reproductive bonus from size of decay area)

However many needlers minus a hundred

Earth:

All the elementals you had before

The disease has spread, and is now present in most of your symbionts. There is no telling what the effects might be though.

A settlement on the island is built, and your elementals go back to their daily routines. A recent advancement in agriculture allows you to combine compatible plants into a single species.

Your crops begin growing again, though very slowly. It may be because of the lack of Scathe in the area where your river gets its water.

Since you met Paul, I can't really say the response. Your crops don't seem to be doing any better though.

The wall is completed, and is the envy of all the civilizations known to you. The cathedral continues, and a map has not been created. The iron produces incredibly hard swords and shields, but your smiths wonder if such large swords and shields are the best use for the metal.

Ok. The Daeka ask the Ikanians about their weapony, and if they have anything that can be sprayed from tubes or something like that.

The scribe tells the Daeka that the only thing that might be of interest is the napalm-like mix. However, it is a closely guarded secret. Otherwise they have phalanx pikes and some experemental iron broadswords / shields.

Research continues on crossbows & ballistas.

The cartographer continues mapping out the area.

The smiths test out the swords and sheilds in combat exersises.

How many soldiers did you send Paul?

I feel really sleepy tonight, so I'll do that when I wake up tomorrow. Everyone can post a summary thingy with what they want to do with the year, since I started late and ended early.

I want to make balista turrets along the shores of the island, create many catapults, try to piece together the ruins (using things that have fallen off), expand the city and drive Paul's miners of the island.

Also I want to research a way to make the explosives better (remove useless stuff, add usefull) also there should be linguists working on translating the texts.

If Paul allows it, I take back a sample/instructions to make napalm. I thank the Ikanians, and say they have made an ally. I tell them to beware of the Scathe, and return to the Daeka homeland. I don't know how many Daeka I have, how long has it been since I created the forges?

The First Goa'uld-Ikanian War - The Second Battle of the Mine

The Jaffa appeared on the horizon just before dawn, with fifty Jaffa Crossbowmen and twenty catapults. The catapults were stealthily prepared and loaded with explosives. By then, the Ikanians had roused themselves from their slumber and advanced against the Jaffan forces with a hundred pikemen, with heavy armoring. The Jaffans fired their crossbows repeatedly, which were less effective due to the brimstone and fire dropped by the Ikanian god before the attack. Fourty of the pikemen were killed before the pikemen reached the Jaffan ranks, where the Jaffans fled after orders to stay away from throw-range. The catapults were quickly turned around and used on the Jaffa forces. The Jaffa were forced to withdraw for the day, as the determined enemy with catapults was simply too much to handle.

Casualties

Ikanians

40 Pikemen

Jaffans

10 Crossbowmen

20 Catapults captured

Thirty grenadiers are shipped in to reinforce the Ikanian forces, but the camel archers cannot get there (camels don't exactly like ships).

Why didn't the catapults do anything while on my side? Also those controling the catapults were also ordered to stay out of range.

Also never add anything after jaffa except in the case of ownership: One jaffa, ten jaffa, those jaffa, that jaffa, of jaffa design, only exception is that jaffa's item.

Ok, then 300 jaffa crossbowmen and 100 catapults are sent to atteck the Ikanans while the goa'uld pray for victory without many casualties on their side.
