As the high priests are finished. (hopefully) A juggernaught impervious to infection is summoned and a blast of highly concentrated light is called down onto the oracle valley to destroy it.

Sorry for my sudden bout of inactivity, became really busy all of a sudden.

Yes. I said that's what the forges were for, otherwise the Daeka don't reproduce, and the priests imbue the new Daeka with a mind and soul (a gift from Adakkar). Well, a normal one can do the same thing, they're just not specialized. And you don't want birth defects!

A) Did the Hippos learn anything?

B) Did the forges get better at making bows?

C) When will the children be fully trained?

Ok, my actions now are:

The forges, researchers, and warriors work together trying to make armour for the hippos and bows made from bone. The hunters look for a non-sentient species to test the irritant on. The farmers begin planting the trees. The priests try to each become a segment of the colossus, not joined directly but secured at the joints (like, one would be the forearm, on would be the shin, yada yada yada, so that way they retain individuality). The mixers start evaporating the oils of the irritant plant (leaving some kind of dust or something?) under a sieve holding the leaves of the plant. They then crush the leaves into a powder, and mix it with whatever's left behind from the evaporation. The priests-in-training continue their training.

200 Warriors

100 Hunters

100 Farmers

50 Flux Priests

50 Mixers

50 Researchers

50 Forges

50 Priests-in-Training

Hippos

Poison Eels

Smellflowers (Medicine)

Stenchweeds (Bread)

Irritant Plant

Swamp Bamboo

A) You could probaly use them in a charge, but anything beyond that would be quite risky and difficult.

B) They were pretty good at making bows of the current design, but anything beyond that would require improvement by researchers.

C) They aren't that bad already, but it's your call on that. Just be reasonable is all I can say.

The armor for the hippos is created in two varients, a primarily defensive layered bone plating and a less defensive, but spikier...spike plating. The trees grow quickly and start overwhelming your town. The oil is evaporated, leaving you a very poisonous residue and a toxic gases. Mixed together, they form a strange poisonous sticky substance.

They land the boat on the island and start searching it.

The Goa'uld land and find the remains of an ancient civilization. In the center is a dilapilated tower, and ruined houses. It seems heavily forested, and it seems to have ample supplies of minerals on the surface.

yay. the settling group flies down, and looks for the reson why the livestock moves on its own. we make enough elemental plates for the oldest specials and regulars. (note, the oldest never went on the settlement mission, and the older the dragons are, the more skilled they are (duh.))

The livestock seem to be following something you can see, smell, or otherwise detect. The elemental plates are created for the oldest specials and the regulars, though it still needs refining.

The Scathe continue to rot everything, and begin to spread southwards from the oracle.

The Scathe completely infect the whole valley, which had remnants of life before. The Scathe find many geysers and springs near the top of the mountain ridge surrounding the valleys, despite the fact that it is freezing cold up there.

As the high priests are finished. (hopefully) A juggernaught impervious to infection is summoned and a blast of highly concentrated light is called down onto the oracle valley to destroy it.

The Juggernaught is created, though it seems almost mechanical in creation. It is roughly humanoid in shape, and stands dozens of feet high. There's no way to know if it is resistant to infection until it actually gets infected. The concentrated light blasts forth from the sky and is stopped by a mysterious force. An automatic ritual in the Oracle begins, and will be completed next year.

Your crops watered by your irrigation systems begin to die, and some of your people fall ill.

The spike plate is given to 100 hippos, and another 100 get the defensive plating. 100 of the warriors begin to specialize in archery, and another 100 in berserker combat. The hippos are taught to move slowly and turn at command. The defensive warriors begin training with Bone Bows, and the berserkers begin working with the forges to make short throwing/stabbing spears and battleaxes from bone. The hunters continue searching for a species to test the poisons on. The farmers attempt to cut down the swamp bamboo plants, then apply the Irritant poison to the ground in a circle around the bamboo gardens, to prevent it from spreading it's roots (is that how new plants are made, or is it seeds?). 50 farmers become dedicated bamboo tenders to make sure the city isn't overrun again. The mixers and researchers try to make the irritant poison into a poison dust to use as a bioweapon. All Daeka form filters in their lungs to avoid accidents with the weapon.

Species Name: Homo unanimis

Tribal Name: Ikana Kingdom

Species Adjective: Ikanan

Species Description: Similar to humans (in appearance and mind), the Ikanans are a sentient beings that rely on intelligence and intution for their survival. They are skilled masons, smiths, and warriors. For hundreds of years they were nomadic tribesmen with a clan leader, often waging bloody wars over various territories. However, one of the clan leaders managed to defeat many of the surrounding tribes, assimilating them into one large tribe. This was the birth of the Ikana Kingdom. The old clan leader also began an organizational structure for the Ikana army. Almost all Ikanans are born with some telepathic abilities, although most only have the ability to communicate with others through the mind for a short time. Soon enough, the clan leader found the most talented telepatic citizens and trained them to be skilled generals. This led to the Ikana army to be quite organized and efficient. These individuals are even capable of twisting the thoughs of other creatures to their advantage. Currently almost all of the Ikanans live in the grand city of Ikana, although there have been some words of expanding their domain.

Government: Fascism

Starting Advantage: Intelligent, telepathy, skilled masons/ smiths/ craftsmen

Religion: Monotheistic

Location: Desert (most agriculture is done by the rivers or oases)

The Ikanan scholars have begun to experiment with a mix containing saltpeter, sulphur, quicklime, and naphtha. Another division is also looking into better methods of agriculture, such as improved irrigation. Scouts have been sent out of the grand city of Ikana to search for any natural resources in the area.

(Can someone give me an overview of the races? I assume that Mather is the eel-creature from stargate, along with Ross being the Scathe.)

i set my green in the party(animals... specialty.. growing things... dude, i think i should stop stating the obvious) to find what the animals are following. so do the others, but green is best. anyways, the two fire dragons at home begin to refine the elemental plating into spikey platingfor gauntlets, tails. and the rest is used to create tough defensive plating on weak areas (chest, spine. other places.)

Incabulos has turned the Oracle area into a wasteland, with poisonous plants and animals of different kinds. The bolt of light that struck you has raised your very own guardian, which seems to benefit from all the decay.

-Mather

The buildings are too technically advanced to be fixed, but your people patch up the holes to make them livable. The trees are removed, giving you a large pile of lumber.

The greens follow the animals, but again, they cannot find the source that they are following. The armor is created. Meanwhile, back at your home, the animals nearby begin dying of strange illnesses.

-Grim

Your crops begin dying off quickly, and your farmers are forced to hunt or grow crops with less efficiency elsewhere. Unfortunately, the animals begin dying off too, after drinking from nearby streams.

The Ikanans live in a strong centralized city, one of the most advanced in the world. Their culture is almost unsurpassed to all that know them, and they have lived in history for centuries. However, grim omens have been seen. Crop yields have been smaller than ever before, vassals have become unhappy (you have a thousand people as vassals, scattered in small sedentary desert tribes), and rumours of foreign armies and infectious waves of moss have found their ways to your people.

The Ikanans live in a time of decline, but a good leader can stop it, and a great leader can bring the Ikanans back to glory.

Heh, I guess I'll post this pre-emptively.

The Scathe sacrifice favour to cancel out the effects of the Elemental's gods.

They then begin the defensive with needlers to infect them, or just pierce them until they die, while the decay titan fires swarms of maggots to blind and rot them. The valley is to become home to many toxic gas plants, to make the area completely useless to anyone but me.

The second decay juggernaught-something (The one summoned with the bolt of light) will guard the oracle

Earth, I warn you, no matter how bad things are for you, attacking me will make them worse.

Here's a quicker way to state my agenda:

100 Archers - training defensive hippos to stand still, halt, and turn

100 Berserkers - training spiked hippos to stand still, halt, and turn

100 Hunters - Exploring the edges of the swamp for any forms of life

50 Farmers - searching for new plants

50 Bamboo Tenders - making arrow shafts out of bamboo

50 Flux Priests - asking Adakkar where to find another sentient species to befriend or conquer

50 Mixers - making a contained, indoors, ground-level building to contain and and experiment with potentially hazardous substances (so that the irritant and other toxins don't scare away animals)

50 Researchers - perfecting spears, bows, and battleaxes

50 Forges - perfecting spears, bows, and battleaxes

0 Priest-in-Training - no longer training as priests, becoming Biofluxes

50 Biofluxes - alter their form to become living homes to plants, learning to hold irritant plants safely

The ruler of Ikana sends out scribes to write down different woes of the kingdom. He instructs the farmers/scholars to look into what is causing the low yields, and what they can do to improve it. Scholars continue to work on perfecting the mixture containing saltpeter/sulphur/quicklime/naphtha. Emissaries are sent out to the various desert tribes to begin negotiations and ask what their problems are. Lastly, scouts are sent out to search for any resources.

*Sigh* Rakes and mallets are created (to deal with the scathe) and cavalry are armed. A force of 5 high priests the juggernaught the hero 200 cavalry and 300 anti scathe units as well as 100 archers are sent up into the mountains. Purification steps are taken for drinking water and filters are created out of light to filter out the toxin in the rivers. A juggernaught is created that is impervious to infection and can shoot out a wide area laser attack. 20 more high priests are trained as well.

So be it. Just remember that your gods intervention will be severely limited while in the valley, and mine's will be more powerful.

In addition to my earlier post, the Scathe try to develop an oily coating which is resistant to fire. They ask for Incabulos' help with this.

My favour should be 2000 now, if each of those special-format updates is worth a year.

My adult population should be 800, and the children (if none have grown up yet) 150 (I guess the forges will just create Daeka yearly, like other races).

Also, how do I increase food production/consumption, favour production/supply, and child/adult population increase rates?

The ruler of Ikana sends out scribes to write down different woes of the kingdom. He instructs the farmers/scholars to look into what is causing the low yields, and what they can do to improve it. Scholars continue to work on perfecting the mixture containing saltpeter/sulphur/quicklime/naphtha. Emissaries are sent out to the various desert tribes to begin negotiations and ask what their problems are. Lastly, scouts are sent out to search for any resources.

(Does the grand city have any walls?)

Also, the masons begin construction on a university & several barracks. The blacksmiths are instructed to produce longe phalanx pikes.

The sour dough of the epitmous pie hungers for another's sweet lips to be dulled into a state of most irreverant humbleness
