Well I have 8 raven eggs in my bank and have gotten way over 50 of each of the god bird eggs on my way to almost 27 mil woodcutting xp. I can't think of getting any of the aforementioned eggs from anywhere other than the yews and oaks in the Tree Gnome Stronghold. Yews for fletching and alshing and oaks for construstion. I used the yews to the southeast of the bank by the spinning wheels and I used the oaks that are like 3 steps from the south exit of the bank to the east. I got over 600 bird nests while cutting 120K oaks, I cut 60K in a week pretty easily at 12 hours a day.

 

As for how long, I was already 99 woodcutting before I quit for a year back in 2007 and I don't remember Raven eggs back then (not saying they were not around, just don't remember them). You did get the red, blue and green eggs back then, but they had no purpose. I gave away 100K oaks when I quit along with every thing else I had that was tradeable. The 120K above was within the last 4 months.

 

As for the MTK thing, you really get a lot more nests from maples than from the hardwoods.

As mentioned before, they are pretty rare. I got a total of 3 raven eggs while wcing yews from about lvl 88 to 99.

Is it normal to spend about 10 hours cutting willows by the barb outpost and still not get a raven? 52 summon, 77 wc, d hatchet, and yes rabbit's foot.

If you want nests, MTK is your best bet. If you're really desperate, dump 10 workers into maples and the other 5 into hardwood.

You can't get raven from MTK.

that's incorrect and illogical. It's like saying you get worse drops with ROW, people we're screaming it forever, and it ended up that you got slightly better drops.

I don't even remember when I got it. I think it was a few months after summoning came out back when I was like level 90. I'm just lucky I decided not to drop it. I'm only 85 woodcutting and I got 70-85 a few months ago so I must have gotten the raven egg sometime before 70 woodcutting.

I had no idea ravens were this rare :o I got a raven egg within MINUTES of my first time ever woodcutting on a member's server, I guess Im extremely lucky :) My first ever nest I got a raven egg.

I got about 5-6 ravens. First one took 2 mill wc exp or more. Also, you can't get raven eggs from mtk nests (unless it changed by now =/). You can get raven eggs from evil tree nests though.

I got mine fairly fast too, but when I went to mith dragons I accidentally released it instead of picking it up .

I'm hoping to get a new raven egg again any soon :)

Not trying to hijack the thread here, but is it possible to get god/raven eggs from the nests you get by trading in mole claws, because I've done maybe 150 a day for a few days now, and still nothing.

I got about 10 from 80-99.

 

I've always had ridiculous luck with birds nests, anyway. If only I could get some of that luck in the form of monster drops... <_<
