April 7, 201016 yr So, we've all seen what happens when a team camps at the base of the other team. That usually constitutes most SC rants on Tip. it. Now, I'm perfectly fine with that tactic, as I've often used it in the past. What really bugs me when my own team is attacked by such a strategy is that there's always several people in the base who choose to just sit around and wait for the game to end. They just sit around the deposit area and whine about how they're getting owned, instead of contributing to the defense efforts. Even grabbing a dagger from the weapons stockpile would help or running away from the base, even if they're just acting as meat shields. Stealing Creation is supposed to be about team play and trying your hardest, not standing around the deposit area while the two or three people that constitute your defense repeatedly get killed.
April 7, 201016 yr You are going to find whiners everywhere, who do nothing to contribute to the game. Yes, I find it frustrating, we all wish we would kick them out as a result of inactivity. I wouldn't mind if Jagex tweaked the game a bit to make it so you have an Active bar, rather than sitting around doing nothing.
April 8, 201016 yr Sorry but I'm one of those people. Here's how I look at it: A clan of 135+s with turmoil/soul split is barraging everyone to death. So what's the point of going out there with a dagger to repeatedly die? The only thing that will accomplish is give them more points and make them happier. So I usually sit in the base where I'm safe and have accumulated enough points for a sc tool. Now, if everyone on my team just sat in the base, those pkers would have nothing to do, and will probably get mad. So when idiots run out there to die time after time, I go like this :wall: . If you were actually able to overcome their attacks and kill them, then by all means go ahead, but just 1 iteming with a c4 dagger? Please don't.
April 8, 201016 yr Yep, I can't get a dagger to them, much less find range for retribution prayers. Some idiot usually has taken all the runes in one go and lost them. And no one ever deposits full ranger gear. Just WHAT do you expect me to do?
April 8, 201016 yr Try and theive their runes. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape" Jagex 01/04/01 - 02/03/12
April 8, 201016 yr And here's how I look at it. There's any amount of time between 10 to 3 minutes left. I'm getting my butt whooped. I'm not here to sit safely inside my teams area, I'm here to have fun and if I have to make my own fun, I will. I will do that by aiming for most deaths (with which the other team is usually happy to help), by 1-iteming with protect item on so I don't run out of daggers and yelling random nonsense as I do it. Keeps me amused and sure as hell beats sitting around for a while waiting for a timer to run down in hope the next game will be better. I do enough of that in the lobby at Soul Wars thank you very much.

April 8, 201016 yr Try and theive their runes.Quite difficult from the front when they have team burst fires that will bring everyone on your side into combat, and freeze them to the door.

My idea of fun isn't dieing to barragers when you can't even get close enough to damage them with retribution. But sitting there in the base and watching them magers taunt us sure is fun.
April 9, 201016 yr Stealing Creation is supposed to be about team play and trying your hardest Yes, but players lose meaning of the game when there are rewards involved. Also the whole team play is somewhat hard when you throw a bunch of random people together. That's like a cc from w141 vs a well developed clan. There's probably a reason the other side is at your respawn place or w/e you want to call it...It's because they have better team work. Not everyone realizes if you work together you can split up their organization making it easier for several of your team mates to go back to collecting stuff somewhere. Try and theive their runes.Quite difficult from the front when they have team burst fires that will bring everyone on your side into combat, and freeze them to the door. There are two exits, if you work as a team and time leaving w/ prayer etc you can drag them away. It's like using a diversion, I've dragged some people off allowing my team mates to go away in safety. If they don't chase me far enough Then I'm free to collect :D.
April 9, 201016 yr It would help if Jagex balanced it, as well. Daggers should be weaker, ranged armour should be stronger. ~ W ~

I'd rather not hurt my team's total score by giving them free points.

Just needing teamwork to free up some skillers so your team has a chance at actually winning, while kicking them would force permenent removel of some high producers, and people would be afraid to wait in clouds to snatch runestacks.
April 11, 201016 yr Haha, yeah, that's annoying. My favorite thus far was when I was the only on the team able to make/obtain c5 items. So I was getting swarmed by the enemy while mining the clay, but luckily 4 of my team members, all high level ones, were running towards me! Eagerly I shout out, "Save me! They're going after the clay!" They respond with "no, ill come back in a few secs" So a few minutes later, I died a gruesome death, they got level 5 barricades on the clay, and they got patrols around it so I can't touch it. That's when those 4 guys came back and started demanding class 5 items.

June 2, 201016 yr When that happens, i just run out with nada and try to get others to pile the ancients. Get retribution on, it'll probably hit something. Ummmmmm.....................Not much to say. If you want to find me in Runescape, my name is not applyapple. It is vetoscadiva. Complain as you like about Jagex, but think about what they've done. How many MMORPG designers go around to creating as complex an in-game world as Jagex? They do need to get around to making a equipable knife, though. With everyone's complaining about updates, it's amzing that there isn't a forum topic on the fact that the chat box says "You can't reach that" (as opposed to "I can't reach that!").
