Those only work over short distances, like ground to orbit, not star to star.

The way teleportation would work is like this.

Spock walks in.

Spock says 'beam me up scotty'

Spock is disassembled and placed as a file.

The file is sent somewhere as quick as possible.

Spock is reassembled.

Eitherway, a stargate and a transporter work in the same way, but are both in fiction, both would work well but none would work isntantly.

Anywho, you can invent any system you like and apply it to your gates, default setting is that you put in the co-ordinates of the star and then select the planet you want to go to.

@ Rocco: The other advantage is that, in wars, you can use all your research projects in new an exciting ways...for example, using paper think batteries, attached to tripwires, to, not only set of traps, but also to electrocute soliders.

Innovation can mean the difference between poverty and starvation and the abundant life.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I lowered my research list quite a bit for Ross. Also its cause most of these will be finished soon so I can restart on my others still.

Beaming is transmitting the matter in the form of energy without dissasembly, stargates dissasembles down to atoms, sends it through a wormhole along with an energy pattern that tells how it shall be reassembled. Example, if a beam is directed to a wall it puts the object inside it, if the stargate is put against the wall the atoms would not be able to reassemble. This is important due to gate obstructions likely becoming important.

Mather, don't confuse the issue.

Transporting is where things are converted from one type of matter into another, usually one that can be more easily moved.

Wormholes are when things are moved across space. No converting involved.

I was under the assumption we already had one

Huge change to research

Project Mars - I say this should count as one project, due to them all being needed.

17 Biodomes = 2/16 15

18 Refining Thrusters = 1/26

19 Geodomes = 1/4

20 Colony engines = 1/8

21 Ships able to withstand tougher enviroments and probe and land on them 1/16

Asknig for people to join in on the Mars project, what do you get? Well you get to Mars, duh. 500 billion per country to buy in. And probably another 500 billion later on.

10 Merchant Square 8/17 50

11 Carbon nanotubes = 2/4 10

12 Robotics = 2/24 20

1 Space elevator = 2/55 50

2 Cold Fusion = 10/80 50

3 Nukes = 1/4 5

4 Anti Nukes = 1/4 5

5 Better AA guns = 1/8 5

6 SAM and SAS upgrades = 1/8 5

7 Better Tanks = 1/8 5

8 Better Infantry weaponry = 1/8 5

9 Liquid Troop armor = 1/8 5

Electrofusion and underground habitats are discontinued due to God saying no.

Please repost other projects.

Total cost = 305 Billion

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I made some changes to the map that has been bugging me.

All of the Black Sea is now water.

Kaliningrad is now correctly part of Russia.

Removed some unnecessary borders.

I'll go in on the mars project. I'll use my infrastructure budget to pay you off over the next 10 years, at 50b per year.

Room temperature superconductors can be researched at the university. 30 years, minus 6, so 24 years. I feel a lot better about researching things there with an alliance.

I also attack Maldaves with 20 destroyers and 20 transports carrying 44K troops.

If the transporters land they go back to India for 44K more troops.

No plan of action due to it being so small.

@Ross, I was under the assumption we already were XD

Also my plan is to create a large city on Mars, it will be under Indian control but you'll all have power there, kind of like a lordship. Just different factions in the city.

But India is the only with soldiers there, no others allowed.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Ico can you send me a 'city plan' It doesn't have to be complicated, just showing me how you are going to divide stuff up.

It depends on who pays what.

Money = Power

And power is good.

I will towards the end of the project, I promise.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

So far its only me and Ross in space, Ross wil probably get control of quarter of the city, unless he pays more.

It's 500 billion this decade, or 250 billion if you want little control, and then next decade 500 billion or 0 billion or 250 billion :P

Also the space elevator to get cheaper spacecraft if you help, temporary

or permanent if you pay 1 trillion.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Ah yeah, I need to make a research list as well.

Project Sting

Project Scythe

Crisis Battlesuit project

Exoskeleton Weaponry

Carbon Nanotubes and Graphene.

F20 and F22 reverse engineering

Room temperature Superconductors

Efficient Jump-Jets

Rocco, do you want any help on that battery research? I could use it for the Crisis Suits.

I could trade geothermal power for it, when it's completed, if you want?

Oh, I'm sorry I didn't include you, but I believe that everyone has the F-22 and F-20 technology.

Personally, we shouldn't go into space right now. Also, I believe that FTL shouldn't even be implemented since it is impossible. If we didn't allow my Falstad's Process to be that great, I don't see why we should go gung-hoe and implement FTL.

Likewise, isn't it a bit unfair to vote in favor of aliens as NPCs, Archi? You purposefully didn't vote in the poll above that one because you thought it would be unfair. It kind of defeats the purpose if you abstain from voting on one thing then turn around and vote on another.

Is that on mine or your own?

If on mine, you only have to pay 250 Billion this decade, next decade you can probably secure some more city by paying more money in.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

@ICU Im creating my own city. Anyone is able to buy land under the dome, Grim and Ross get discounts.

These attacks are NOT simultaneous. The attack on Tajikistan happens ASAP, some ninja corps have been there for the last 8 years sabotaging and spying. The attack on Uzbekistan will happen 3 years after.

Basically, the main forces attack the cities head on, while the ninja corps attack from the rear, doing special missions and generally [bleep]ing their [cabbage] up. The sniper teams snipe any enemies they see. Some snipers are sent in with the main force. Finally, the air force flies around the cities, taking out specific targets. the green circles are basically temporary runways/refueling stations/armories. The air force is instructed to do as little damage as possible to the infra. of the cities. Oh, and the dotted lines represent ninja corps being airdropped in.

Not particuarly. I didn't vote in the other one because I was in two minds about it, pros and cons to it...

This one I am happy with Aliens.
