Wait per flight, as in each bombing mission PER stratos jet?

Well I wasn't going to use them anyway but now that makes them pretty pointless :P. Oh well realism is realism :)

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Well technically I still have 500+ thermonuclear weapons... not that I intend to use 'em but just so others know. Unless of course nukes have been destroyed as well.

Well considering that if we kept nukes, America would have enough fissle material for... hundreds of thousands of our tactical sized nukes. :D

The same as it is. If you want to work out what a third of Libia's 2000 GDP was, then add it to your current IAG, then I don't mind adding it.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Depends, blowing the snot out of a city without much chance of retaliation(since it is a stealthy kind of attack) is pretty awesome.

Eh. Hex, is the game started yet? What's the story?

Well considering it's only a single jet, the most payload it could probaly carry is one or two tactical nukes. That's partial, but not total destruction of a city, right? In which case interceptor drones would be up to the task of stopping them. :D

Well basically there is no story yet at all but things we basically roleplay and everything someone decides to do effects the world.

Read through final lore to get an idea.

Can a bomb be shot down? I swear it could.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Oh believe me there are ways of stopping them ...

But shot at a high enough altitude, it wont effect the city.

As things stand no one has a defence in place to counteract them.

And obvouisly there are multiple types of bombs and such...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Everyone scorned me when I said that I should make some sort of anti-bomb where the bomb goes into the hollow anti bomb and explodes and the anti bomb just falls to ground with a parachute. (It also secretes a goo to stop the bang)

Do SDI defences count?

A bomb could theoretically be disarmed by a well placed/lucky shot, destroying the detonator would prevent the explosives from starting he chain-reaction.

You could also make some sort of 'bomb disarmer' that is fired at the plane and snaps the wire.

Or you could hack the bomb?

meatlover.png

Actually more developed results from project "nucleus" could be used...

LNYvk.png

All of these anti-bomb measures would be inneffective.

The shell would have to be fired from pretty much directly beneath the bomb, meaning they would need to be in all your cities, and the strange shape would make calculating trajectory a nightmare, if it could be fired at all.

Shooting the detonator is pure guesswork. There is no way you can calculate the location of the detonator inside the bomb, as well as the position of the bomb itself, in the time it takes it to hit the ground after being dropped from the plane. I estimate a less than 5% success rate at best.

A bomb disarmer device suffers from the same problems as above, but on a larger scale.

Hacking a bomb. Yes, because all bombs have LAN capabilities. And wireless internet access. I suddenly feel like we have plunged into a Die Hard Movie.

Sigh...We get further and further away from realism.

'You know what we need...Some sort of bomb disposal team firing airplane...'

Anywho, hitting a missile or a bomb...would be like hitting a grain of sand in a car's headlight at 5 miles with a colt and western revolver.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

But we have turrets capable of one million shots per second, that increases the chance.

What about having something collide with it in the air? Like sacrificing a plane or jet or helicopter to make sure your city is saved.

I lol'd so hard at that video.

Question: Where do the 999,999 bullets that miss go?

What we need is some sort of Aoe weapon that does not leave a noticable effect (like a bullet falling down to earth on a civillian)

Up into space, near-orbit, slow evapouration, a nabouring country, Kenny's head, etc.
