Does anyone else look back at some of their older conversations and think the same?

I'm annoyed that your return will keep me from eventually getting the most posts in this thread

 

As nice as it would be to have someone tell you all of the answers before you need them, would you be able to learn from them, or even take them seriously? At the time, your life would probably have been missing some of the context that makes those lessons resonate with you today.

When I try to google the solution to a problem and there's a much more common issue that's just similar enough to be every search result, but not similar enough to be useful.

When talking with someone always leads to an argument whenever you try to discuss something you have a slightly different point of view on...

As an update, I think I pulled something in my shoulder trying to loosen up. Did not entirely alleviate stiffness issues.

Do you have a wake-up light? If not, you might consider buying one. Definitely makes waking up more pleasant, especially during those months when it's pitch dark outside when you are supposed to get up. I always hated getting up in the dark, but got one early this year. It's not like I'm suddenly full of energy, don't expect a miracle, but my mornings are much better than before :)

After many a night scheming, I have devised me own wake-up light: I leave the light on in the other room ;).  I still get to sleep easily, but alarm clock + seeing that light immediately after waking up helps me get up at the time I want most of the time.

Not a bad idea, but then you don't have the dawn-like slowly increasing light ;)

True :P.  Although I get up and run outside in the dark/sunrise which can be quite beautiful sometimes.

I can only fall asleep if the room is pitch black, I actually have to unplug my computer at night as the little power LEDs on the speakers and power bar keep me awake. What's been somewhat working for me is going to bed at 10 and getting up at 6, that way I'm not dragging myself out of bed 30 minutes before I need to leave the house, and if I really need an extra hour of sleep I can get away with it.

I used to really want it to be pitch black but I guess I became okay with it after a while.

Sleeping in past 12 on a weekend. Feels great at the time but I lose half the day.

Some random noise (teleports being the main culprit) on RuneScape that makes me have a miniature heart attack.

Or generalize that to people who smoke while you're around when they know you or other people don't enjoy it.
