Blade got perm B& because the mods reich thought his short, often-blunt posts were "trolling." If anything, Blade was an anti-troll. People would often post stupid [cabbage] and he'd tear it apart with just a few words.

His replies were so brilliant yet so simple.

 

He made you do all the thinking yourself so that you came to realize the point he was making on your own. Those of us who actually thought about what he wrote instead of getting mad.

This message was sent to myself and many "efficiency clowns." This project was originally being headed by Quyneax and Bladewing was involved. Guess what? Three of the people involved have now been banned and most of the others have been ostracized to the point of boycotting it completely. Tip.it admins and mods and even the [bleep]ing general Tip.it population ban us, censor us, and send us to the preverbial gallows because we help people on these forums regardless of their feelings toward us. THEN WHEN THEY BAN US, THEY KEEP OUR GUIDES DESPITE MULTIPLE REQUESTS TO HAVE THEM REMOVED because their usefulness as a fansite directly correlates to the work we put in for them.

 

Frankly, this is pathetic. You can't ask us to help you and then [bleep]ing ban us and censor us.

As you may have noticed the main site monster hunting guides have been long in need of an update which is something I would very much like to do. However, the tip.it crew has a bit of a boss hunter shortage at the moment and we don't have very many people with lots of boss hunting experience that would be qualified to update these guides. Over the past few weeks you guys have expressed interest in helping us out with our monster hunting guides through various channels. It has gotten rather confusing with all the loose PMs flying around everywhere, so we're establishing this PM to get a small status update on what has already been done and how we can proceed. We'd love to have your help in this organized effort to update our monster hunting guides to be as good as they can be!

 

What we would like to do is to setup a private board on the forum for all of us to collaborate and get the guides updated. Please let me know what you think of this and if you want to go forward please add anyone in your monster hunting group who can help with the project to this PM and we'll get things setup. (Quyneax, please also add the people that you contacted originally about getting the guides updated if they are still interested.)

It's pretty easy to devalue a protest by calling it a tantrum. Ultimately, we set out to make changes and we began it by seeking a private audience with Tip.it admins. It didn't go well. Then they banned multiple people who have legitimately contributed to the Tip.it community. Now it seems as though we're not the only ones unhappy with how things work here.

 

Ultimately, I enjoy helping people and I'd like to continue doing that. DGS will continue, of course, but it'll be outside of Tip.it and I won't be involved in H&A anymore. If someone wants my advice or advice from other likeminded players, they can seek us out in Grimy's forum.

Then you go and complain that Tip.It is over moderated and post even more crap, hoping to be banned and have an ever better reason to troll the [cabbage] out of everyone. Yes, we get it. You feel that the moderation is against you. But you are always free to join new forums and leave others behind. Some of us will miss the contributions that you made, but if you feel unwelcome then there's no reason to stay. Doesn't mean that we have a bias against you. My response to that thread, which is here ( http://forum.tip.it/topic/291381-charging-air-orbs/page__p__4802125#entry4802125 ) , was in direct response to multiple people ignoring the original posters question and giving advice that the original poster didn't want. You were essentially derailing a thread that you didn't need to be in. I've never had a problem with the efficiency people, I used your advice when I was playing Runescape not 2 months ago. But we have to step in at times, even if we have to take a position "against" you.

So tonight was the first time in three days that I've been able to sit down and just 'Scape. The clan updates introduced a lot of problems that probably could've been avoided had we not switched over to a clan chat rather than just stayed a friend chat. I really like some of the tools we have because of it, though, and I think there's definitely more of a sense of pride in our community - there's almost always a DGS vexilium in Daemonheim and a few people wearing the capes (those awful, awful neck-brace capes...). Anyway, I spent about three or four hours adding stuff to the guidelines the other night to help cope with the influx of randoms we've been getting, plus trying to manage the DGS page on the main site.

 

And, of course . . . the hurricane-level [cabbage]storm . . . don't even wanna get into that and all of the work/stress caused by it . . .

 

Anyway, tonight started off okay, but the second floor I keyed decided to be one of the worst floors I've ever had. There was this one room that was pure, unabashed, unlubricated rape, surrounded by four other rooms of equal amounts of rape. It was not fun. I died eight times in that room just trying to open doors. Then we got Hope and Eric nearly killed me while I was blocking - and he did it on purpose. It was funny, but only because I didn't die a ninth time. ;) Yeah, eight deaths - and it was a 29 minute floor. If I had been able to get through that rape room without dying so many times, it probably would've been a 25 minute floor or less. Needless to say, I quit at the end instead of finishing the floor.

 

Anyway, Nick keyed after that but the floors weren't much nicer to me. I got 114 about two floors later than I should have, but that's what I get for recklessly dying so much. I've noticed that I never, ever ask for food when I key. Most keyers do multiple times. Not me. I just don't particularly care about experience now that I have my primal 2h. It's more fun for me to go for faster floor times than to worry about dying.

 

Tnt, Eric, and Matt wrote alternative lyrics to that Friday song - the lyrics are themed around DGS. Apparently I'm supposed to sing an acoustic version of it. Don't count on it. ;)
