Arbalesters(crossbowmen) = medieval riflemen Longbowmen(archers) = medieval machinegunners Shortbowmen = medieval SMGers Knife-/axethrowers/javeliners = gunmen Meleers = knifers Bait = flamethrowers They have their pros and cons, except flamethrowers/bait of course who only work when used tactically. Nexaduro
Medieval combat is completely different from modern combat. Medieval battles were significantly larger scale, whereas today squad combat is more common as each side tries to maintian minimal casualties because the higher-ups actually have to answer fro the deaths. There were no real axe/knife throwers in combat as far as I know, save for the vikings who tore sails with bearded axes. I don't know much about either shortbows or SMGs. The rest isn't clear. Arbalest =/= the traditional crossbow. I don't know what difference the I makes. Also, what do you mean "machinegun?" This is, of course, forgetting the melee thing. 10:53 PM - retech9691: I feel the need10:53 PM - retech9691: To include many chasms in my story arc10:53 PM - Resistance: You mean plotholes? Seraphi
It's really stupid to compare medieval units to modern day soldiers.
The_Mather1
Ful machinegun, like the minimi or possibly even chaingun like a gatling. SMG/shortbow rapid fire but to small to be very good. Arbalest - a crossbow so strong it has to be pulled back with a winch. Throwing weapons/handguns - "never" primary weapon in war. The_Mather1
That would be wrong again. My primary unit has several weaknesses would be more correct. But anyways I'll soon just steam ahead economically instead. You have naught to gain by attacking me, I am no threat, I am as militarily active as a crippeled moth, now scram before I eat your clothes.
