THE FORT

 

 

Basically a small wooden keep (or in other cases cluster of tents) with either a wooden palisade or sloped earthen walls with spikey wooden thingies on it.

One million. It's generally more effective when used in conjunction with other fortifications to build some sort of wall. (Like the thing in northern England which I forgot existed)

I stole the names from Medieval 2: Total War. Its diplomacy mechanics are terrible, especially in comparison to EU3, but its easier to try and go for a steamroll than biding your time.
