As for how to get it, 500k tokens for it along with dungB2 release would be sweet.

I would die a little inside if that was the requirement for one.

Same.

I'd die a little inside seeing every level 70 run around with one.

So you want an item that requires 60 def to also require 90 dung?

So you want an item that requires 60 def to also require 90 dung?

I wouldn't try that logic. See: Requirements to obtain Dragon Claws.

Personally I wouldn't mind an 80-85 Dungeoneering req as long as it didn't cost tokens. There's more than enough things already for us to spend the tiny amount of tokens we do get!!

You don't need to do wgs to use dclaws.

Though defenders are untradeable.

Yes lets force everyone to dung to get every new item that actually does something. And especially would be nice if this item will cost 500k tokens and doesn't protect over crap.

and costs 500k p/h to use and is destroyed on death!

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.

It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

Hell with Dungeoneering...Jagex better not make Dragon defender a dung reward. I use 5 bloody hours doing Dungeoneering, and i got no crappy experience...

Do you know why? Disconnection and the way Dungeoneering works. Dragon defender should be untradeable and obtainable after a Quest.

You don't need to do wgs to use dclaws.

You need to do While Guthix Sleeps to get Dragon Claws yourself, and WGS has very high requirements. I don't see how it's much different really. It's still a level 60 req item that has use far beyond what it should.

I don't understand all the hate on Dungeoneering. It incorporates all skills and quite nicely at that. It deserves to have some of the best rewards out there. Although I don't agree with the price, as xpx said, you would gain the ability to get them, not a single one.

If you disconnect from a game, even if you have had 70% progress or 90% or 99%, you won't get the experience you deserv. That's why many dislikes it. There is also the cap of 120, which should never have been.

Another reason:

10 hours weapon degrade - This is [bleep]ed up. It should be 24 hours.

Rather get a new skill 6 months early and have it a little broken in 1 aspect or the latter?

Honestly i like Dungeoneering, but the problems it has is crazy.

Well, they do recommend that you play in a team, but I'm not going to argue that it's unfair for those who like to solo. However, I've heard from a friend that there are reports that the equipment degrades much slower than is stated in the KB, and in fact up to 100 hours of use in single combat. Plus, even if it were only 10 hours, it's not like you're in combat the entire time. You'd be surprised about what 10 hours of actual combat really equates to.

I think they should make it to 20 hours at least.

lol at all the stupid dungeon req suggestions. defenders have no relevance to dungeonerring whatsoever

and a lot of players would be ranting all over again because they're too lazy to train the skill. i'm leaning towards

a quest req that has some connection to the warrior's guild. the requirements to do the quest however, raises

some interesting debate on whether it would be accessible for lower lvls.

10 hours is pretty long considering that it only degrades in combat.

Yeah...i would get a chaotic weapon only to show it off or use it in a non-combat situation. 10 hours does not seem long enough.

It lasted like 30-50 hours for me before I had to recharge mine.

It lasted like 30-50 hours for me before I had to recharge mine.

That sounds good. Perhaps it is a bug?

I will do whatever is necessary to obtain one of these the day it comes out.

And as far as the misplaced dungeoneering debate goes, it would be absolutely stupid to release the defender as a dungeoneering weapon. All the others come from cyclops, these should as well, altho maybe more of a cyclops boss type, that trains 100 tokens at a time, instead of 10.

And my friend used the CLS for training slayer, and he paid for the next 3 recharges doing that. And he still used like 50% of it in castle wars. 10 hours is a fine amount of time.

Well, now I'm really excited. I've wanted a Dragon defender ever since I received a Rune defender several years ago.

In my opinion, there are only a few ways Jagex could *@ up the Dragon defender release:

1. Tie it with Dungeoneering and tokens. Defenders in general have nothing to do with Dungeoneering, so there had better not be a Dungeoneering level requirement/ Dungeoneering token cost attached to it.

2. Make it tradeable. No Defenders are tradeable, and I believe everyone who owns a Defender agrees that this is a good thing.

3. Make it degradeable. No other Defender is degradeable, nor is any other Dragon weapon or Dragon equipment degradeable.

If Jagex chooses to release the Dragon defender as part of a quest, or have it come in several pieces that are dropped from the Cyclops in the Warriors Guild, or make us exchange several Rune defenders for a Dragon defender, it's all fine with me.

Good thing I don't own a Godsword, because I predict the combined stats of an Abyssal whip and Dragon defender will be very close to the stats of a Godsword, and the speed of the whip will make the Godsword all but useless.

BTW, I really should get a Chaotic rapier or longsword, as either one combined with a Dragon defender will become all but unstoppable.

Very uneducated post. Very.

Even if it was 10 hours, what's wrong with that? For the way a rapier destroys(and yes, destroys is a very good word for this) a whip the price is very, very cheap, and if you are cheap yourself then you do have the option to play 10x as much for a medium cost in tokens. Realistically, if you can't pay 200k(or rather ~90k if you know what you are talking about) an hour for it, you don't deserve to be using one.

Also i still don't see why everyone has such a problem with dungeoneering, the fact that you can't save progress is quite irrelevant if you already know how to dungeoneer, since you don't really need to log out every 9 minutes or so. Large 5 man dungeons may take an hour to complete, but noone forces you to do those, you can just do dungeons that fit your playing style he best.

I sense a Warriors Guild update.

Dont know why some people think that there must be a dungeoneering requierement. I can't see any connections.
