July 13, 201015 yr Clean herbs to actually make a profit then spend the profit + 100m on making pots which is faster. This is getting harder to do due to its popularity now. What I do with herb cleaning is treat it like GE merchanting. I watch the price graphs, and when I think an herb is going to go up in price, I buy the grimy version, but instead of just reselling like I would normally, I clean them first. It's tougher to clean herbs profitably if you don't watch the markets. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
July 13, 201015 yr Author How long would 1m xp cleaning herbs take? Edit: And dilloncyh, what pots did you make?
July 13, 201015 yr I wouldnt herb clean, ever. Its slow, its just asking for carpal tunnel, and its no longer very profitable. Do just about anything (ppots, super energies/atk) until you get 81, sara brews to 84, spec restores to 88. Should be far less than 100m. I got from 80-96 doing it the most expensive way possible (most beneficial though) for 190m. Im set for life with pots as a result. I would suggest going a little farther to 92 so you can get some overloads. they are beast.
July 13, 201015 yr Author Do I buy the unfinished potions and the seconds? Super attack to 83 costs 84m. Brews to 84 costs 18m from there. 64m to 88 using spec restores. Is there anything that's 25 gp/xp?

July 14, 201015 yr you can make brews at 81, but I'm sure the rest of the advice is sound. I got the level yesterday.... Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
July 14, 201015 yr I would advise against super defs tbh. They will be a pain to sell. If you do something slightly more expensive at first glance, you might walk away with less money spent. The thing with super defs, is the only people who want them are people making overloads. Thats a small population, and few people mass produce overloads. Super attacks/energies, on the other hand, are both fast exp, cheap, and are commonly used in the high lvl untradable pots. Super energies are the best training method when you get to 84 herb, so they are always sold. Super attacks are useful and almost as cheap as spec restores. Be prepared to spend about 30gp/xp in herb. The only way around that cost is by doing it a painful way, or spending too much time which, in turn, costs you money, or a combination of both (cleaning/barb pots).
July 14, 201015 yr What's a reasonable amount of pots to make in an hour? 2050 It's great you know what you're talking about rustiod. Everything you've said is 100% accurate a true. July 15, 201015 yr You need roughly 4m exp for 100m gp. So, you can spend up to 25 gp/xp. That's actually pretty decent. Personally, I do regular energy potions. It's quite slow, but it averages 20-21 gp/xp depending on the markets. Right now, super attacks and strengths are closer to 26/27 gp/xp but they vary with the market. You can probably get it to work if you wait for a good time.Sara brews are about 26 gp/xp and those are nice when you get there. I watch Grimy's Spreadsheet for detailshttp://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=tix0mH-83pgzsARJj6D9vvA&output=html If you're patient either with grinding (do cheap pots) or waiting (for market conditions) your goal is quite reasonable. Count on 1000-1100 unfs->pots per hour casually. More is definitely possible if your banking is fast.In theory if you are an insanely good mousekeys banker, 2000 or thereabouts is actually possible, but I've never met someone to accomplish this. Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate.

July 16, 201015 yr So, nests do not buy, what do. And the Toadflax (unf) already bought.Wait. Did you test a small purchase first? Should I have done that? D: It's not a sure fire indicator you'll get enough, but it lets you know that at least /some/ amount of material is buyable. Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate.

D:Woulda been smart, yes, although checking the price history graphs is probably good enough. I recommend selling back the toadflax (unf) as soon as you can, because it looks like brews are being manipulated and are due for a crash very soon: http://services.runescape.com/m=itemdb_rs/Saradomin_brew_%283%29/viewitem.ws?obj=6687 Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
July 16, 201015 yr I would strongly advise doing super defs, contrary to what people in this thread say. The great thing about super defs is that the finished products are so cheap. This means that when you buy all of the whiteberries/unf pots, they are all there. You can physically see them banked, and this is a fantastic feeling when you see your desired level banked, as opposed to other pots where you have to sell back the products to get the cash to buy more ingredients. This also means you're less at the market's mercy like with pots such as sara brews. Super defs will sell. It will just take a bit, but since they're so cheap, you can afford having a bit of money missing for a little while. Mind you, when i got 85-91 herby on super defs, they were being merched and sold for instant max  JOIN CHICKENSWEEPERS TODAY!
