A drone is NOT a missile.

 

They're unmanned crafts that are either controlled via a command link or have an automated path.

But I guess a missile could deploy a load of drones. Also they're expensive, so they SHOULD by rights add a nice boost to the cost of your ship.

I believe they would have to move above lightspeed to acomplish that, if not you end up firing one torpedo into the rear of the last one and blowing up your entire stockpile.

You do it impossible and to annoy others, it's not nearly the same.

My thought process: Mather's race is completly overpowered, I'm going to attack him first so he can't attack me with his ubertech, I also think a lot of people have my mindset so I can probably create an alliance against him.

 

Suppose it's fun to have a shared antagonist though.

I will not allow Mather to full prey to an attack cause people don't share his views.

 

The fact that you wont be able to attack him first is also quite comical, cause you're probably really far away, and Mather could also use diplomacy to get NPC's to help him.

Again, antoganist = evil =/= common enemy.

Or you and Edel, the only ones who are actively arguing as agressors against me for doing things you choose not to.

I admit Mather, your missiles wont be that effective... Firing 1,000 missiles with the quality to actually mess up a hull with moderate shields on... It is just going to cost you TONS.

Rocco, there's a big difference between a complaint and attack.

Mechanical Wizards- Ships are considerably more efficent, allowing them to support more or larger weapons and shields.

Pay me? Its my Dream Job!- Ships are practically free to build, maintain and repair. (Still needs resources to be collected).

 

My ships will be cheaper and larger than yours.... And being as the planet I am on is basically chocful of resources....

 

Also my loyalty gun..... It can sway people into believing what I want to believe... The problem is that they have to be tuned for each race and I think the effect is slow.

Antagonist = Enemy of protagonist, whether the protagonist is good or evil.

 

The fact that your plagarising stargate just pisses off everyone even more, I mean even if you had made up your own idea and it did the same idea's we'd accept it but as its stargate we feel more resentment to it.

 

Mather, it doesn't matter what the moderator wants, just because he's in charge you don't have to mentally block every piece of critiscism you've got. I haven't recieved any critiscism and as far as I know no one else has, there obviously is something wrong with the way your going about it.

I do agree with you Rocco, his drone missiles will not be effective as he thinks, just cause on the T.V it shows them doing what they do, doesn't mean it is like this game.

It is long range and can turn a unit in like... A split second. On this I expect that the range is long, but it takes a while to effect targets, and it has to be tuned.

 

And you're right... But those 5 people might be silent... I can tell them to be normal... The chance will be so subtle you wont even know... Then before you notice I have hundreds, thousands of people.

 

Plus it's a defensive weapon and a siege weapon, never really a full on attack weapon. It is so I can make people in ships attacking me to start going on my side.

How does it work Icu? Same as in the game?

After 250 years of research (or 200 I can't remember) on brains.. My race is finally able to understand the brain to the full extent. This gun works by messing around with the impulses of the brain and so the target begins to be completely hypnotised. The gun itself isn't that expensive, as the impulse it sends out is extremely weak. I will probably have to work out with Archi if multiple people can be controlled at a time or if there is a limit or if it is one per gun.

 

There is another thing that will surpass this weapon... But that is a secret and it will take 100 (Yes 100) years of research to do.

Hypnotise high ranking officials to spread positive things about my civilisation, so if you ever attack your people are like "But we love the illuminate!"

Weapon is undefendable with a small achilles heal therfore it is overpowered.

I research a new pistol, it instantly kills any race but needs ten years research into race, it never misses and it kills 100%, regardless of armour and whatever else. but I spent a lot of time on it so its fine.

It is also mainly to [bleep] up people who decided that psionic weaponry is best weaponry.

Completely possible if inside a critical spot in strain, heck, a single power failure when submerged will render the ship useless until drained and repaired.

 

Edel, you can defend from it, but when a flying city is attacking with missiles you know you'll have a hard time.
