Extreme Sports?

Does anyone here participate in some extreme sports? I'm looking for ideas for somewhat cheap ideas that can give some good adrenaline rushes. If you need a location, I'm on the East Coast of the United States of America (more specifically near the New York City area).

I have to settle with crocodiles. We don't often get bears down here.

Think bears and crocodiles at the same time would suffice?

While not particularly extreme, I am a fan of ice hockey, rock climbing, and kayaking.

Definitely try BASE jumping (generally not really legal though) or fake (or real) skydiving.

I do rock climbing every now and then. Nothing like the thrill of skating the line between life and death to get your blood flowing.

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.

I like free climbing (Free solo climbing according to wikipedia). Everyone else seems to think it's a bad idea though. It's fun even if it's unsafe.

I want to base jump sometime. Skydiving too.

BMXing.

Nothing gets you going like sliding down a rail on your pegs over a 20 step staircase. Or floating a massive 360 over a box jump.

The feeling you get when your front end dips low during a 3 is amazing icon_thumbsu.gif

So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth,

These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf,

Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in,

Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything,

Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel,

Tear up the book and write your own damn rules,

Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got,

And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut,

And realise that the other world that you're always looking for,

Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door,

And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas,

After all, you were put on the earth to do this,

So shine your light so bright that all can see,

Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be.

I love skiing and snowboarding, but I live in aus and don't get to go much. If I don't become a pilot I'm going to take up hang gliding for sure.

I've never tried hang gliding myself but i've been up and flew gliders a fair few times and the sensation is just surreal, it never gets old. Unfortunately i haven't had the opportunity to do it in a while but when Uni starts up i'm definately trying to get back into it.

Other than that, i quite like throwing myself down hills on a mountain bike.
