I view the "nerd" comment as more of a complement. I just tell them "I am a nerd when it comes to metalworking and knifemaking..so ty for the complement=)" If they carry on, I then take advantage of the situation and prove it to them by telling them to how to do scrollwork via blacksmithing or tell them about how damascus or mokume gane is made. Needless to say..they usually get mad at my rambling and move on :)

@Title - A few of the most common insults players throw at eachother in hopes they'll win a dispute.

 

Personally, I think it's a horrible way to attempt to win an arguement. By judging someone you don't even know based on reality seems like defeat, to me.

 

It's not even just in arguements. Sometimes jealous players come out of nowhere and feel they need to attempt to bring you down; it just gets really stale after a while.

Is it necessary to use profanity? And to insult people? Because trust me, I'm a nerd but I've beaten people up. Twelve year old's pose no threat to me. Just because you are a nerd doesn't imply you don't know how to fight or anything...Most of my nerd friends are in some sort of martial art for the sheer fact they are nerds who like Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee movies and wish to be like them. It's a misconception that all nerds are fat, sweaty people....

 

And as a nerd, I can safely say my intellect is superior to a twelve year olds. Mostly because I sit around reading nonfiction and doing well in school, which is why people call me a nerd.

Agreed. The other day I farted and it was really quite funn..........Ok OT. The daft kids on RS can be handled with a pinch of salt and the ignore list. I've seen worse behaviour from the adult players by far and this normally echoes RL. The way that some of the adult players deal with the kids leaves much to be desired as they just cannot handle it. why am i getting called a 12 year old?(or is it the other guy) i will admit i am a nerd, but i do play soccer and basketball and other sports, i cant rly do anything with my friends cuase i live in near a small town but im this is my first year there so i dont know alot of people and my friends live so far away that i cant bike without taking 30mins-1hour to get to their house, and i have horses but being bucked off, i am intimidated by them
