I'll talk with Greg about this, we just don't want people who are working on projects within our server to be locked out if the server did happen to fill. We never expected 10/10 at once so I'm not sure if we're underestimating 20/20. We will monitor activity this week and if the server doesn't get maxed out we will consider adding 5 more people. I can't say how long at a time I'd be on for or when, but I'd like to give it a shot at least. If my internet can't handle loading the map, then I'll just say so on here/on your forum/via pm or something, so you can remove me. User is torchbane (my fiancee bought me my Minecraft account for my birthday, if you were curious :P). But yeah, I'd love to go on and take a look around, at the very least. Not sure if there's anything I'd build to a grand extent (except maybe underground), but I'd enjoy just going on to see what everyone else has built. We will remove people who voluntarily give up their spot for other tip.iters. The bottom 5 people will be added tomorrow evening when we do our next server update. I don't really play anymore, and I wouldn't mind sharing my account, as long nobody changes my password. It'd be a risk you yourself are taking if you do that. Don't think it's against the rules, so long as you know the risks. Also found some diamonds on the server lowc posted. I have no problem with this. I will be adding tree's on top of tree's so i can make a tree house the size of donald trump's house. Edit: We allow no spawning, the glow stone was voted on and added to the economy at 200 gp per. It is valued between gold and diamond. A good deflation for our economy considering people have been farming paper and such like crazy to gain good amounts of gp. We're thinking of adding mob events where we would turn them on for a set amount of time and have them drop gp upon death. Would encourage mob slaying and food usage, but still be peaceful the majority of the time and less lag. I'm a full time college student so my time is crunched as it is, Greg who runs server #1 is in the same boat as I am considering we go to the same school. I would love to open another server, but that means my tower computer will be dedicated to running the server. My laptop would be my computer I play on so I want to wait until I have enough demand for me to give up my tower for a good cause. :-D If I can get 10 people from Tip.it to register on our site and sign up I will start preparing Server #2, It will mean Greg and I will have to divide our Administrative focus as well as require more time from us both. I need people to post an application stating your minecraft name, your tip.it name, and i provide some other information such as you need to read our rules.. Without this information I cannot add you to the white-list. For those who do not know what a white-list is, it is a list that we input names into, which tells the server who has what permission to enter. At the moment we do not want to have our servers open without a white-list because it would lock our members out due to the high volume of tip.iters wanting to join at once. This also prevents people who lurk from accessing our servers and griefing (not saying people who lurk tip.it are shady). In sum, it is a way for us to stay organized and have a nice environment and community. Sorry if I wasn't clear regarding this, hopefully we get more applications because i'm excited about expanding our clan as a tip.it based Minecraft community.
