February 22, 201115 yr Just because. -------------------------------------------- I've made like 5 or 6 designs for my mob harvester, but I haven't picked one or tested it yet. Mostly because my most compact design requires something like 6,000 of some material per floor. And that's after making it hollow on the inside instead of solid. Planning is so much more fun than building anyways. Plus I have a feeling it won't work, which would be a pain in the ass to place all those materials to have it not work. And if I test it and it does work, I still have to clear an area, gather all the resources, and re-build it on my actual world. Possibly more work than it's worth. And I'm nearly done with the outer wall of my sandstone tower. :)Here are some pics: Once it's finished I'll calculate how many sandblocks I've dug out to make it. February 22, 201115 yr NOW IT IS UP TO YOUI might build a garden here. I've got from my base all the way to the mountains. What should I build? After building Falling Water outlined above, I set out in search of landscape which inspired me to build something rather than setting out with an idea of what to build and finding landscape that fits it. I came across a very nice looking field with a large hill overlooking the ocean. I thought the landscape was particularly beautiful and wanted to build there, however I didn't want to destroy the landscape, or even hide it from view. My solution was a series of platforms which, although they could be hovering, I added posts made of fences stacked on top of each other so it at least looked realistic. I connected these platforms with a series of staircases. I think this type of thing could work well as a garden, as most of my platforms are indeed farms.
February 22, 201115 yr Pfft the only reason I spawned myself water was so i could jump off the tower without dying. Though I didn't make the pool deep enough and i died anyways.

February 23, 201115 yr Aww, an update right as I finished my first proper mod. And guess what one of the things in it was? Sulfur veins near bedrock. And notch renamed sulfur back to gunpowder. [bleep]. I guess once they get MCP up and running again I'll find a way to generate niter deposits on cave walls and ceilings (not embedded in solid rock), add a proper sulfur item, and then make a recipe for gunpowder. Creepers don't provide nearly enough TNT to be viable for mining purposes...

February 23, 201115 yr Here's some pictures of my igloo that I made. I decided that I'm going to turn it into a "research Facility". I'm going to add in some grass and get some animals to spawn, then trap them, as they will be "test subjects". Then somehow link it back to my house... I'm going to add a basement level soon. The ladders were just for construction purposes, I'll remove them soon... And the torches were to quickly melt the ice, as it is a frozen lake I built it on. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
