February 11, 201115 yr Which is funny because the players update the game more than "the ever so hard working" Notch. February 11, 201115 yr Shovel, love the building. Wish we could see it with the sandstone though :(Fix'ed it for ya. And I think he's going to INVEdit if I remember correctly. Sorry about that. Going blind today :wall: And yep, I'm using INVEdit. It would be TORTURE without it

February 11, 201115 yr I don't get why people are always [bleep]ing that Notch isn't CONSTANTLY working on the game. He's been working pretty damn hard for a while, so I say he can take whatever month or two long vacation he wants. He's been working pretty damn hard for a while, so I say he can take whatever month or two long vacation he wants. He sold an uncomplete game under the premise that you were funding the development of said game (which he now has changed to "I'm selling an uncomplete game as it is, the future updates are not guaranteed to be free unless you bought it in alpha or before that"). When his half-game got popular, he suddenly takes a 3 month vacation, and all we get so far is 2 new blocks and some skins? Nevermind the fact that he has a whole team working since what, a month and a half ago, and we get less work than what a single modder does in a couple of weeks.
February 11, 201115 yr Please could we not get into this debate? It happens all the freaking time over in the MC forums...make me not visit it that often. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
February 11, 201115 yr Spent three hours exploring the cave labyrinth underneath my future building. Lot's of things down there, found 7 diamonds in the process, and I probably explored roughly 20% of the entire thing. Still lost on what building material to use. I probably should just roughly make small buildings to test out different things...
February 11, 201115 yr Still lost on what building material to use. I probably should just roughly make small buildings to test out different things...Well for that beach-side look you're going for...it might be a longshot, but I've seen some very nice white walls fit in perfectly for a beach setting. Something like this: [hide][/hide] So you should either use snow or wool...depending on the texture pack of course. It sounds dumb to use snow, but it'll LOOK like beach-side property. Jeb has stated he doesn't want to update the game w/o Notch being there. Perfectly understandable as the game is not yet finished. That's BRILLIANT! Thanks Gio <3: I'll start building when I get back from school

February 11, 201115 yr Interesting. I just guess. Usually leaves my "square" buildings one block longer on a side... :twss: "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."

That first tidbit of needing to buy in alpha/beta to get free updates was actually changed though when his lawyers warned him about it and how confusing it would get. He rescinded that some months ago. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER.
February 12, 201115 yr Where do you guys start your first bases? A treehouse, hole in the ground, side of a mountain to form cave systems, etc? I'm trying to find new ways rather than just up in a tree and into mountains. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."

Completly remove the top of a mountain/hill and you have a flat table for a good base, or just build in the middle of the ocean :D 99 Attack - Done
February 12, 201115 yr I built my first base when I climbed a cliff. Decided I'd build a treebase there, then I spread out from there. #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod
