Dax
If this is too early or too late, forgive me, I’m Aussie and things be different to [insert country here]. Plus I’ve been around the place all day and yesterday and haven’t had the time to get this up. Also, if the attitudes change, it was because I wrote it over a period of time. ^_^ Time for MY game list, you’ll note that the majority of these games are on PS, and that’s simply because I’ve always had their consoles (Yeah, I’ve had them all). So yeah, I hope you can relate to my choices, ‘cause I can never connect to yours. ;_; 1. Final Fantasy XII. (PS2)Where else would I start? This game is my favourite game of all time. Ever since the game clicked (It takes me up until a certain point in all Final Fantasies when I understand what’s going on), which was around Bhujerba, I think... Ok, back to the game. The story is awesome (After you remove various characters...*ahem* Penelo *ahem*), Marks are great fun, the license board is an awesome way to level, the combat’s fun, the bosses (and Espers, but they sorta count in the bosses category) are epic, the game lasts for ages and the masses of other stuff you can get up to keeps you going for hours. Personally, I’m thinking of 100%ing this game sometime soon, but alas, other things have taken priority. 2. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. (PS2)Oh, yeah, I guess I should have started with this, but ah well. This was the first PS2 game I ever played, and it’s always been, ever since I spent five minutes trying to cross the bridge to the first blue eco vent (I’d always kept to the d-pad, and this amazing analogue stick confused me) one of my favourite games. You’ll see it has affected me in at least one way, because now I’m known in a lot of places as Daxter (and yes, I admit I originally tried for Jak, but I couldn’t get anywhere with it). I guess this game is nostalgia fuelled for me, and for that reason, I’ve been through it multiple times, not to mention the three times I’ve 100%’d it. As I’ve said, I get epic nostalgia any time I hear of anything of the game, and the game probably isn’t that great to others, but to me, I would have never become a gamer without it, cheers J&D. 3. BioShock. (PS3)Yeah, PS3, big woop, wanna fight about it? All bad Family Guy quotes aside, this game made a mess of my pants from the start. This game is beyond epic, and that’s thanks to the mind[bleep]s in the story. One in particular, but you should know that, or you will soon, ‘cause this game is easy to come by, and it’s even easier to buy. So do it. Really, you’ll be glad you did. The story apart from that point is great too; I mean come on, an underwater city that’s gone nuts? That’s badass. And who doesn’t love beating crazed citizens away with a wrench, not to mention lighting people on fire? You know you do. Go buy it. 4. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. (PS2)Surely, you say, that San Andreas is superior, well, the doors over there, go use it. Vice City is the best GTA there ever has been. The story’s awesome... Wait. The entire game’s awesome, and if you haven’t played it, and you’ve played others, you’re missing out. 5. War of the Monsters. (PS2)[bleep] yeah. Now this is what a fighting game should be like. Giant monsters beating the [cabbage] out of each other, all because of [bleep]ing aliens. Hell yeah, [bleep]es. To War of the Monsters, I owe my first late night gaming session. We had to beat the final boss, even if it took until 3am! (The fact we had family friends over, and they were drinking in the backyard allowed this great feat) I still remember always picking Congar or Preytor, and my brother always picking Ultra V or Robo-47 (I love you if you know who they are, seriously, I’ll marry you). 6. Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. (PC)Despite the fact that I could never get past St. Petersburg (The very first SP mission ;_;) until I was a much better gamer, I still loved this game. We got it free for some reason; it may have been a sound system or something, not sure. The game is awesome. Replaying the levels, finding shortcuts, realising how to stealth each level, but never being good enough to accomplish it. I’ve only ever got the best rank on two missions, but still, this game wins. 7. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2. (PC)We got this son of a [bleep] out of a cereal box many a year ago, and since then I’ve completed it many, many, many times. My love for this game was rekindled (Lulz) a month or two ago, when my mate got it on his iPod Touch, I dug up my copy and proceeded to 100% it, though before this was possible, my game crashed and didn’t let me get it. Ah, how I loved you, THPS2! 8. Need for Speed: Underground 2.Let’s light up again, start out over again, what you is, what you been, forget everything. Lyrics? From a song in the game? Insanity! Anyway, I have a lot to thank this game for. My minimal car knowledge comes from this game, and I found my now favourite band (QOTSA ) through it. Hmmm. Maybe I should have quoted it at the start, instead of that. Ah well. Greatest racing game of all time? I think so. 9. Crash Bandicoot. (PS1)Crash god damn mother [bleep]ing Bandicoot. If I was playing PS1, I was playing this. (Or Tekken, but this game wins over that any day) Not that I can remember anything but the first level, the title music and the first boss fight, I played a crapload of this back in the day. I’ma have to find it one day and go again. I might try for 100%. 10. God of War 2. (PS2)Badassery abound, bring the kids on a wonderful, friendly, completely non-violent adventure with everyone’s favourite angry God. After being dethroned for being such a tool, Kratos goes after the lovely old man that screwed him over, none other than Zeus. Don’t just check this one out, get the entire series. Unfortunately, I haven’t got the third yet, due to my lack of money at all. But yeah, definitely check this one out. 11. Destroy all Humans 2. (PS2)Now this one really got my attention. I had played the first quite a lot, but it messed itself up thanks to my careless nature with my discs. I got this from my aunty for my birthday because I wanted to give the game another shot. I mean, come on, look at the title, it’s fun. The basic idea of this game is to do as the title says, and I like it for that. The game is just fun. 12. Tekken Tag Tournament. (PS2)Ah Tekken. This was one of the first three PS2 games we ever had and it’s been awesome ever since. The range of characters was awesome, the graphics *were* awesome and it was so damn fun. The best thing that ever happened to me this year was the announce of TTT2. Can’t wait. 13. RuneScape. (PC) Sorry guys, but this game did a lot for me (and still does : x ). It’d only make sense to mention it. Hell, I wouldn’t be here without it. 14. Ratchet and Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal. (PS2)This was just one of those games which had me from point one. I had played the first two, been impressed (2 was my favourite for a damn long time, personally, I think it has a better story) but everything else in this game was a lot better. Especially the change from Lava Gun to Meteor Gun to Lava Gun to Liquid Nitrogen Gun. I mean, come on, the Meteor Gun sucked. 15. The Sims 2. (PC)Time to be honest. This game still holds my interest even today, some five years after my sister bought it. Doing something like that, for a game like this, is a pretty damn good feat. May as well go one better and get Sims 3. I’ve played it and it’s pretty cool, but for me, it’ll never match this one. 16. Penny Racers. (PS2) Now, I’ve gotten from research that it’s hard to find this game anywhere on the internet, but anyway, it’s a really good racing game, despite its looks. The time I spent saving $18,000 to afford the ‘turbine car’ as we called it was amazing. While my brother and sister were saving up for the actually useful Hero Engines. XD I still enjoy playing this as well. I don’t think my mum expected this to last as long as it did. (PS: All of the three first games we had on the PS2 have now appeared, Jak and Daxter, Tekken Tag and Penny Racers ) 17. Red Dead Redemption. (PS3)I only got this a month or so ago, but it’s really, really good. The whole idea of Red Dead Redemption is awesome, GTA in the old west (I know they did it with Red Dead Revolver, but I didn’t play that). It works really well. Though 90% of the world are gangsters or bandits, 9% are insane and 1% are respectable people, the story gets really good. I haven’t completed the story yet, but I watched my brother do it, and damn is it good. 18. Zoo Tycoon. (PC)Now this was good. The general order of play was start a new zoo, build a lion exhibit, do whatever. Always have a lion exhibit. I haven’t seen our copy of the game, and I fear it may be lost, but I’ll have a look one day, and hopefully give it a go again. 19. MX Unleashed. (PS2) Also lacking in my cover. I got the demo with a PS2 magazine for my birthday and as instantly in love. I got some of my birthday money and ran down to the shop to buy it. I got it and continued loving it. I recently was forced to play it while on a particularly boring week of my holidays, and I am glad I did. The nostalgia won me over. 20. Sim City 3,000. (PC)I’m pushing for 20, so this can appear. This was just one of those games, that although I sucked at, was fun to play. I came back last year and picked it up, and got really good at it. Hehe. And that’s that. Look and be amazed. Sorry for the large images. Didn't think they'd seem that big. #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod

Danqazmlp
WOM seriously needs a comeback on XBLA or the Ps3 equivalent. Add an online multiplayer and we have the best game in the world. Nothing says fun more than the Las Vegas level being able to flatten car parks and the like. Lots of games on your list are games I think are great, Sim city, Destroy all humans, zoo tycoon and best of all (Except WOM) was vice city. I can't say it was better than San andreas as they are both tied for #1. On the topic of WOM, I wonder If I could pick up a cheap copy anywhere. Edit: The big stone head thing was definitely the best monster. Want to be my friend? Hunting all the marks, rares, and espers was the most fun part of the game - very addicting. Can't agree with you about the story though lol. Ah, how I loved you, THPS2! Haven't really played 2 that much, but 3 and 4 are definitely some of my favorite games.
