[02:48] <AI> While talking to him you notice that he looks the same as the Descar you met earlier. While you ponder this you continue walking until you reach a huge metal door

[02:51] <AI> You feel totally exausted. Inside there is a large sand pit, seating and a grand balcony, there are hundreds of spectators

[02:52] <Jeremiah> I glance around for another set of doors, with another person. If there is one, I copy what they do, such as walking forwards or taking weapons, etc.

[02:53] <AI> There are another set of doors, but they are closed. G3 walks fowards to the side of the sandpit

[02:54] <Jeremiah> I walk into the centre of the arena. Well, not quite the centre, but near the centre.

[02:57] <AI> It shows one Descar/GOP taking their shoes off before they enter the sand pit, then kneeling in the center of the sandpit, then another Descar/GOP arriving, taking their weapons and holding them at the neck of the first Descar/GOP.

[02:58] <Jeremiah> Okay, I take my shoes off and walk into the centre of the sandpit.

[02:58] <AI> You arrive at the center of the sandpit, the spectators look on

[03:15] <AI> Your opponate stands and returns to his bearer, collecting his weapons

[03:15] <Jeremiah> I pick my own weapons back up, then watch what the opponant does.

[03:16] <Jeremiah> I assume the fighting comes now.

[03:16] <AI> He walks a shortway into the sandpit then faces you, waiting

[03:16] <Jeremiah> I copy.

[03:16] <Jeremiah> Walk the same distance and face him

[03:16] <AI> You stand in the pit, staring

[03:16] <Jeremiah> If he starts to bow, I copy.

[03:17] <AI> He begins slowly to circle towards you

[03:17] <Jeremiah> I circle around as well

[03:18] <AI> (Everything will be done much slower than normal, so you don't need to worry so much about speed typing)

[03:18] <AI> You circle around as well, getting slowly closer and he spirals towards you

[03:18] <Jeremiah> I continue to do the same. If he lunges, I attempt to use the sword to parry.

[03:19] <AI> As you reach a distance of about two metres he kicks a wave of sand towards you, and you have time to think of a responce

[03:20] <Jeremiah> Jump to the side and be ready to parry.

[03:20] <AI> Jeremiah, you jump out of range of the sand cloud and see him lunge to where you were a few seconds ago

[03:21] <AI> He doesn't have time to react

[03:21] <Jeremiah> Lunge forward with the shield

[03:22] <AI> You strike him in the thigh, but tear through, sending yourself flying into the sand, narrowly missing your eye on the shield's inward spikes

[03:22] <AI> Fortunately he is unable to take advantage of your prone position

[03:23] <Jeremiah> Awww, I could have got an eyepatch and been a badass space captain.

[03:23] <AI> Well, you managed to scar the side of your head pretty bad

[03:23] <Jeremiah> I roll over and jump to my feet.

[03:23] <Jeremiah> Is it bad enough to warrant an eyepatch?

[03:24] <AI> You jump to you feet(No). As you do though his blade bites into your back, leaving a massive slash mark across it. Somehow you find the ability to retalliate

[03:25] <Jeremiah> Swing the blade around and cut him in the arm. Continue swinging and bring the shield into his side

[03:28] <AI> You swing the blade cleanly down, slicing deeply into his arm, though stopping at the bone. You then draw back again, but he brings his shield across, colliding with your arm(though not damaging it), and sending your K'Pak flying. Your shield also comes round, preventing him from making any holes with his shield, though he manages to slice your hand off(the one that was holding the K'pak)

[03:29] <Jeremiah> That's probably a bad thing...

[03:29] <AI> (You are standing pretty close together, both of your shields are touching, and he is extended across you, his side fully exposed)

[03:30] <AI> (on the plus side, Hook?)

[03:31] <Jeremiah> I swing my foot and kick him hard in the side of the ribcage. If he is knocked down, I smash the weapon from his hand.

[03:33] <AI> You bring your leg up and kick him in the side, though, because of the angle, it is not a terribly powerful kick. However, it is enough for him to be mildly winded and so cannot strike back instantly

[03:33] <Jeremiah> Now smash him in the ribs with the shield, followed by a lunge forward and an elbow to the guts.

[03:36] <AI> You smash foward, putting all the weight you can on the shield, sending his shield straight back, the twin spikes driving hard into his chest. He retalliates, forcing his shield out and yours backwards. Fortunately you shift you weight and take a tumble into the sand instead of spikes to the rib cage. He pulls back from the close quarters fighting, trying to catch his breath

[03:38] <Jeremiah> Flick blood into his eyes from my wrist, and then smash his sword hand with the shield.

[03:41] <AI> You are entirely out of range and the sudden movement causes you to realise how much pain you are in, and you let out a howl of pain. Fortunately he is near collapse and just lumbers towards you instead of striking as he should. Your shield comes up, though it hits his shield again, sending it back up, into his ribcage again. You sense he is near death, but he keeps fighting, ramming the shield back towards you

[03:41] <AI> Instinctively you let go, allowing him to fall face first down

[03:42] <AI> The spikes of his own shield skewering him

[03:42] <Jeremiah> I place my foot on his back, throw my arms into the air, and shout

[03:43] <Jeremiah> Then remember that having a hand cut off is a very bad thing, and wonder how close I am to dying of blood loss.

Well. It would appear that our 2nd-in-command is temporarily leading an alien ship, if not an alien fleet, and our 1st-in-command hasn't shown up for a few sessions... which leaves the 3rd-in-command to manage the ship, who started the whole mess in the first place. This will probably end up being !!FUN!!.

Arch, mine has micro gamma pulse torpedoes, not regular sized ones, I still remember asking Jen for permission to use the technology.

Well, my suit is ridiculously expensive now to to indiscretion on Archi's part... we still need a good formula for calculating the max thickness and price of Crystalline based on level.

 

At level 3, it was 130k for 4 inches. At level 12, it was 65k for 4 inches. These were calculated using seperate formulas, current level is 13, and I think the level 12 pricing was reasonable.

 

P = T(20000 / 0.1L) perhaps? Maybe set a minimum cost? Thickness would be a base of 3 inches, with 0.2 inches added to max every level.

You do realise that 1 meter per second is ridiculously slow, right? And your mobility will drop to more or less nil... Meaning you can't dodge anything. Not good qualities for a combat medic, right?

I would be hit anyways if I was a medic, so I focused on shielding.

I thought the point of a combat medic was to get to whoever is injured quickly and administer treatment?

 

I mean, at that speed, they would have died of old age by the time you get to them to fix that broken toe.

Just to let people know, my suit is actually just a prototype, when I have good enough tech I plan to have one made in a real factory, at which point I'll probably use a stronger metal with high heat resistance.
