so after a few dedicated months of slaying i'm nearing my goal of 85 slayer and abby demons. What's the best set up for them? I'm assuming melee gear w/ yip in Kuradel's dungeon but any other tips for them?

Just bring the typical stuff you would to slay in Kuradal's dungeon: Bandos, fury, FSH, fero ring, whip, etc.

Pretty much. They do have slightly better defense than most monsters though.

Why does everyone say this? I've never once had any problem hitting them...? And I've never seen anyone complain about it? It's rare if I hit 2 0's on a single demon.

Generally Abyssal Demons go down in 3-5 hits of a chaotic rapier. They definitely have more defence than dust devils or greater demons, but don't even come close to the metal dragons in terms of accuracy against them.

 

If you don't have a chaotic weapon, whip works fine; bring the best potions you can and repot at normal intervals; use a defender over DFS, but remember to bring some sort of dragonfire protection for Kuradal's dungeon if you are using the shortcuts, I've died trying to run with pray mage lol.

Just use you normal slayer gear with a yip and pot up. They are really easy and fast.

Also if you're talking about camping them then remember you can't use Kuradal's dungeon. If you're just talking about doing the tasks then sure it's the best place.

Slayer tower for camping and Durdel for task.

 

Defender over a shield, whip, SS or Kurasi's sword depending on what you're training. Pot up as best you can and bring a Yip or 3.

Camp at the slayer tower and bring your normal melee gear w\ yip and super set

10m slayer xp, and I camped some whips, and I've only had 21.

 

Don't bother camping for Gp, better things to do.

 

Best setup is defender+whip/CR, bandos,fury fero ring, fire cape, and turm/piety.

 

And they have higher defense then many other slayer monsters.

Helm: Neiz

Ammy: Fury > Glory

Cape: Fire cape > Skill cape

Body: Bandos or Dragon

Legs: Bandos or Dragon

Boots: Dragon

Gloves: Barrows

Ring: Berserker > wealth

Shield: Rune defender > DFS

Weapon: Whip > D scim

 

Healing: Bunyip + Guthans + Enhanced Excalibur.

Saying Abbysal demons have a higher defense than most slayer monsters is just plain stupid, you still hit them early every single attack. That's like saying "Muggers have higher defense then Men, watch out!" It's HARDLY worth mentioning seeing as it wont make a difference.

The difference in defense of a mugger and a man would mean a lot more to a level 3 than a maxed player. Not really a good comparison.

I've never had trouble with abby demons defence, there should be no issue there. A whip does plenty of damage.

Abyssal Demons DO have higher defense than most other slayer monsters, regardless of whether or not you notice it. That said, I'm going to echo everyone else and say that you should use piety and gear that balances prayer bonus with strength bonus. You'd reasonably want around 15-20 prayer.

I remember when I killed them on the abyssal plane with like 120 combat + superhuman str and normal super sets, found their defence pretty annoying.

 

And yeah they're just normal monsters that happen to drop whips, nothing special
