hazardmaster
I used to wake up at 4 am running around the house and then sitting under the tree about an hour later waiting for my parents to wake up... Now I sleep in until 2 pm  Same here,it's just another day for me now :( Me too. I think last year or two years ago my family and I went onto the bus for free and toured the city. Some guy tried to pay for the ride
Barking-Loon
I like christmas though cuz it tends to bring out the best for people :x If only that were true. When i work (at a fast food resturant) peopel are always so stressed the pass few weeks near chirstmas... It is true, when I work (arrange a christmas fair and selling hot dogs there) I meet lots of happy kids with their parents getting bargains from local crafters. :) A recent study shows that 92% of all teenagers have small purple pet elephants named Jack. Put this in your sig if you are one of the 8% who like to do the fandango on Wednesday afternoons
dusqi
I like Christmas, because it's a chance to spend time with the people you love :D For it is the greyness of dusk that reigns. The time when the living and the dead exist as one.

I'll get up just to see my daughter have fun :) To those that follow the tradition of opening gifts on Christmas Eve: When I was little, I got a tradition started of opening up just one gift then. ronath
read: I regret to inform you that, effective immediately, I will no longer serve Georgia, Florida, West Virginia, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Arizona, Texas, Ohio or Alabama on Christmas Eve. Due to the overwhelming current population of the earth, my contract was renegotiated by North American Fairies and Elves Local 209. As part of the new and better contract, I also get longer breaks for milk and cookies so keep that in mind. However, I'm certain that your children will be in good hands with your local replacement, who happens to be my third cousin, Bubba Claus. His side of the family is from the South Pole. He shares my goal of delivering toys to all the good boys and girls; however, there are a few differences between us. Differences such as: 1. There is no danger of the Grinch stealing your presents from Bubba Claus. He has a gun rack on his sleigh and a bumper sticker that reads: "These toys insured by Smith and Wesson." 2. Instead of milk and cookies, Bubba Claus prefers that children leave RC cola and pork rinds (or a moon pie) on the fireplace. And Bubba doesn't smoke a pipe. He dips a little snuff, so please have an empty spit can handy. 3. Bubba Claus' sleigh is pulled by floppy-eared, flyin' coon dogs instead of reindeer. I made the mistake of loaning him a couple of my reindeer one time, and Blitzen's head now overlooks Bubba's fireplace. 4. You won't hear "On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner, and Blitzen..." when Bubba Claus arrives. Instead, you'll hear, "On Earnhardt, on Andretti, on Elliott and Petty." 5. "[garden tool], [garden tool], [garden tool]" has been replaced by "Yee Haw" And you also are likely to hear Bubba's elves respond, "I her'd dat" 6. As required by Southern highway laws, Bubba Claus' sleigh does have a Yosemite Sam safety triangle on the back with the words "Back Off." 7. The usual Christmas movie classics such as "Miracle on 34th Street" and "It's a Wonderful Life" will not be shown in your negotiated viewing area. Instead, you'll see "Boss Hogg Saves Christmas" and "Smokey and the Bandit IV" featuring Burt Reynolds as Bubba Claus and dozens of state patrol cars crashing into each other. And finally, 8. Bubba Claus doesn't wear a belt. If I were you, I'd make sure you, the wife and the kids turn the other way when he bends over to put presents under the tree. I just wanna rip em open, see what I got right away, nah mean? Jesus is the reason for the season though. :D Question: Does anyone here just rip open the presents, or do it one at a time? AThousandLies
Ugh ... Christmas in officially 33 minutes. I really don't like it. My family gets stressed and pressured, I get bored and depressed, there's nobody to talk to online, few things to do out of the ordinary ... it's just weeks, sometimes months of preperation, for one huge day that celebrates something I don't believe in anymore. I mean, yeah, seeing my extended family and receiving presents is always good, but a lot of the time it just sucks. The spark has completely gone. I'm not even excited. If I could I'd sleep in until 12 or even later, but I have to have lunch with my grandparents. I really wish everyone could just boycott Christmas for one year. It'd make everything so much less stressful, and so much more smooth-flowing. Merry mass consumerism day.

It'd make everything so much less stressful, and so much more smooth-flowing. No, that would be...weird :/ I mean here in Sweden it gets so cold and dark when it's winter, and with the Christmas decorations and spirit it really brightens up your days. Chirstmas gives you something to look forward to and be happy about. Yeah, I agree it's stressy and everything when your parents are busy preparing everything, but still, I think it's worth it. And to answer the original question, I do get excited about Christmas, because we usually invite people over and the food and the presents. Thanks for the sig, Runesmithie :)RIP Steve Irwin
assassin_696
Well it's nearly Christmas and I still haven't posted my thoughts. I used to get up really early and wake the rest of the family up. Now i'm a teenager so i'm less inclined to do that but i've always been an early riser so if I wake up after 2am in the morning I probably won't get to sleep. I'll have to wake my sisters up, which i'm sure they'll love :P I carefully open my presents one by one, i like to appreciate the wrapping  Can't wait! :D "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

AThousandLies
I remember like, four years ago, I got up at 5AM on Christmas day and played Mario 64 for like four hours. Today I just woke up multiple times in the morning, after 5, but I stayed in bed until about 9:30. The spark has just completely gone. It's just another day where I have a couple of extra priorities. I'm truly sick of it. What's really bad is that my brother had to work last night, sleep over at the hotel he works at and comes home on Christmas at 4PM. Pretty sucky. But whenever I recieve the gifts, i always feel like their crap and I felt my mom could have done better. But then I always ask God to forgive me for being so selfish and thank him for sending his only son.
