TDC
The kill count doesnt affect the chances of getting a barrows item just things like runes and coins. There was some research done a while back that showed that a kc of 2 was the most profitable Glacors Drops - 33 shards. Armadyl Drops - 1 Chestplate. 1 Hilt. 2 gloves . 2 Skirts. Zaaps1
With rapier, turm, and ovls, runs should take about 5 mins if not less. ~It's Super Effective! R3moteman
I often don't get any kill count or just the 1 so i can open puzzle door. I do this because i use slayer dart and with low KC i get minds and deaths almost every time so i can do endless runs with no G.E.Also seeing as KC doesn't effect your barrows items all other loot from chests hardly adds to much profit. I think you will end up making more money getting minimal KC becasue you get more runs per hour so higher chance of barrows drop within that hour. The only time i would get KC is if i used Guthans in the tunnels.
notasoupbowl
Generally I heard the probability of a barrows item is 1/18 per chest, which I think sounds right. My average run was taking 4:45 using piety: Doing 12 runs per banking, taking about an hour. Also my combats aren't quite maxed.

Zaaps1
How are you using the Wolpertinger scrolls though? Isn't it a little inconvenient to have to summon a new one every run or so? ~It's Super Effective! Tact
I was under the impression that familiars of all kinds are not allowed at Barrows.
Quyneax
Indeed, and all that switching is very impractical, too. Full void deflector + barrows gloves, rapier and such can do consistent 5 minute runs. I don't think you can make that much faster as you're already 3-4 hitting the brothers as it is, and any more gear cuts into your staying power, thus, longer runs because of more banking. ghjkl
Erm no no way do you 3-4 hit brothers. Mage is at least 1.5x faster than melee seeing as melee hits like 40-50% of the time and mage hits 99.9% of the time.
Quyneax
I use 5-6 hits per brother, sometimes only 3, and I'm not even close to max melee. So yes way. They don't have much defence, maybe about on par with miths or so. Melee is one tick faster and has a higher max hit.
