sees_all1
His wife was interviewed and she says he's a military veteran with the intent to scare the people not hurt. So either he went blind since his firearms training, has Parkinson's, or he just wasn't trying to kill people at point blank range. Or he missed his target by a couple of inches. Military veteran doesn't mean squat if he isn't practiced with the gun he's using, or if he hasn't used a handgun in a while.Besides, what else would his wife say? Yeah, he's a raving lunatic and I love him? Did you see the range he was at? I take it you've never fired a firearm. Hell even with a pellet gun I could have hit the guy in the head point blank range rofl.. If he's fired guns much he shouldn't have missed all 3 shots.. And I was only going by his military background, not his wife's opinion. Unless she's lying about him being a military veteran. That guy looks like he's many years removed from the military, judging by his girth. Also, I'm reasonably confident if you go out, buy a gun, and aim and shoot at something, even at 20 feet you'd likely miss it by 2. Its hard to tell what he's aiming at laterally, but vertically its very clear that he's shooting at their level. Also, from the looks of it he very well could be inebriated. Most people aren't very coordinated when they're not sober... Is it beyond belief that he got liquored up before he made this decision? Finally, last point. The only shot he really "missed" was his first shot. That's the only point in time where he had a clear, unobstructed target and wasn't hassled by gunfire. His next shot was at the ground, and his final three were at people underneath the table while he was getting shot at. A miracle none of the board members were injured. 99 dungeoneering achieved, thanks to everyone that celebrated with me! ♪♪ Don't interrupt me as I struggle to complete this thoughtHave some respect for someone more forgetful than yourself ♪♪♪♪ And I'm not doneAnd I won't be till my head falls off ♪♪
obfuscator
I have to agree with sees_all that when somebody has a gun out and is firing it the intent doesn't matter - at that time, they haven't voided their rights, but in the interest of the safety of others shooting to kill is permissible. I disagree with both the american gun laws brought up here - I agree with sees_all that the "no guns within 1k of the school" is stupid - as it prevents the law-abiding citizens but not the criminals. However, if guns were harder to get we wouldn't even get to that point in the first place. Zygimantas
I think the security guard was just trying to injure him, not kill him. Which I think is the right thing to do. It would not be well if everyone had guns and allowed to have them almost everyhwere. Fear would be rampant, I don't think people will feel safe when they know most people around them have guns. 99 Hunter - November 1st, 200899 Cooking -July 22nd, 200999 Firemaking - July 29th, 201099 Fletching - December 30th, 2010

You're right, everybody always misses the bad guy and there has never been a situation where guns have protected innocent lives or could have protected innocent lives. You clearly have a lot of experience with guns too AND you're not on a high horse. *chuckle* Skeptical, I hope you've learned a lesson in bringing up the gun control argument anytime a story involving guns comes up.
