This would also not be fair to maxed cbs like me. :thumbdown: It's kind of odd that Jagex compared Hati Gloves to Bonus XP Weekend when they're not really alike. Hati Gloves lasts based on XP, Bonus XP Weekend went by game time. Hati is available for an extended period, Bonus XP is a three-day incident. Hati remains at 2x the entire time until it's used up, while Bonus XP goes from 2.7 to 1.1. Why would Jagex choose specifically to compare it to a Bonus XP Weekend instead of Stealing Creation tools or Brawler Gloves? And the lore specifically mentions Hati has a brother. I think there's a fair chance that Jagex decided these "seasonal events" can substitute for Bonus XP Weekends. Hati's brother could easily drop skill gloves. I abhor the premise of xp weekends because it's so hypocritical. Jagex refuses to drop more tradeable discontinued items because they don't want to make people rich, but they are willing to reward tens of millions of GP worth of free experience just because you played during a certain timeframe? GAH. Also, making it based on XP instead of time is what MANY people suggested after the FIRST xp weekend. That makes it so much less overpowered. There is no reason to believe there will be another one; the two that did happen had randomly picked dates that had nothing to do with timing to one and other and we haven't even had confirmation that there will be another let alone if being anytime soon. If we do get another one I'l just do agility or something else non buyable, ended up hardly saving anything on herby last time anyway because of everything being bought out. I thought hati was better anyway cos it didn't encourage you to no life, you got your set amount of xp and that was it. I'm gonna have to go with Obtaurain on this one tbh - his brother, Sköll, who eats the moon will give us skilling gloves. Makes perfect sense, considering the feedback towards buyables, how much it messes up the economy, and that way it isn't limited to one weekend. Plus, if Jagex REALLY wanted to pull the "weekend" idea, they could make Sköll only killable during the weekend o_O Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. Will also keep a note on this thread to bring it back when it is announced. Those are my secret thoughts, oops. Anyway, I enjoy Bonus XP weekends because I do not always have time to train certain skills that I want to, and the weekends (of which I actually have time to play RS) offer a time to "catch up" on training.
