brad1431
would it make sense for me to plant magic seeds the day before, as soon as I log in farm the 5 mage trees and plant 5 more, then log out and wait for them to grow again, then log in and do another mage tree run? This gets me 2 mage tree runs at 2.7X
Loffelicious
Yes, that would work. I'd encourage you to also do calquats and palm trees though. Skeletal wyvern guide: 100-150 crimsons per hour and PROFIT
Sy_Accursed
Not really.Sure it gets you 2 magic tree runs, but you miss a good half day+ of playtime. Using the full 10 hours > maximising the 2.7 on farming.A good idea thou is to plant new trees overnight, means u get the boosted xp (thou at lower multiplier) without wasting playtime tht u culd use to eat up ur 10 hours.Afterall most average joe players barely hit the 10 hour mark, so why delay urself just to get massive farm xp for checks? Play the whole time doing farm runs inbetween other skills and even with bonus drain ull get more xp overall. Loffelicious
Although it is possible to do, as I said in my previous post, I have to agree with accursed.. Although, say you're going away most of the weekend or such, the method you mentioned will of course work. brad1431
this will especially work if the bonus weekend starts at 12:01 AM on Friday, cause I have to work all day friday anyway, so I wouldnt be home to play either way I can stay up thursday night til after the 12AM mark and farm the trees, and plant new ones, then go to bed, go to work the next day, come home and log in and I have 5 new trees to farm. Either way, I couldnt be playing during that time anyway.

Meaning you won't have to wait till it actually starts to plant the trees, saving you a lot of time. brad1431
I know, I would plant the trees tonight to farm at 12:01AM Friday, plant new ones log out and go to bed and work on Friday, then Friday night farm the 2nd round of trees.

Nope you don't Thats why everyone plants a full set of trees before the weeknd (well anyone with ense) then do the health checks when it begins Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
ilovecuttingyews
Just so you know, BXP weekend starts at 12:00 pm (noon) Jagex time. So unless your timezone lines up nicely, I wouldn't try to stay up from Thurs -> Fri just to get an extra farm run in. What I'm doing is, since BXP starts before I have to get to class;Plant treesSleepBXP WEEKEND STARTSFarm runClassFarm runNormal BXP weekend stuff
Hedgehog
I'd recommend looking at them before the weekend starts, to make sure there's no dead trees. There's a good chance you'll miss out on a nice chunk of xp if you don't.
brad1431
obviuosly I would pay the farmer to do that, once you check the trees health, that is when you get the xp

Serpent Eye
Yeah, sorry to say but you'll at least need to be level 72 Farming in order to plant Magic trees for the BXPW. Then you can Garden pie +3 in order to plant them.
Quyneax
Stranger plant familars, also the OP could be expecting another farming level before the weekend. If he said he's doing magics, I'd just assume he is. It should be noted that you do not get xp for some harvests if your level isn't high enough to plant the plants. I'm not sure whether this applied to herbs or trees or both. Loffelicious
Wouldn't that be fixed by using a garden pie to raise the lvl high enough though? Skeletal wyvern guide: 100-150 crimsons per hour and PROFIT

AxiSyn
You guys pretty much have the right idea, I plan on planting palms and a calquat tonight and check it when I get home. If you have the runescape tool bar, it has the "jagex time" on it, but for friday and saturday at least they should be 5 hours ahead of the eastern us, 4 hours on sunday b/c of day light savings. So the xp should come into effect at 7am for me. Back to the main question, if your timezone matches up right plant trees tonight, check them and replant in morning of you have time, then check again when you get home = uber exp for ~10 mins of actual effort :DBtw I'm posting from my phone so excuse any errors.
