New skiller, what skills?

Skiller or not?

  1. 1. Should i be a skiller, in f2p, or do combat?

Recommended Posts

As you may know if you read my other threads, ive just come back to runescape abit and im finding it quite boring. So i made a skiller.

But, im wondering what skills should i get, in f2p.

Currently all i have is 65 woodcutting. Im planning on 99 wc then burn the logs for 99 firemaking.

But what should i do after that? What skills to what levels? Should i even get these 2 99's first?

EDIT: By what skills should i get, i was meaning in what order. Which would help me train other skills more efficiently?

2 pointless comments ftw (Y)

@JohnTheCop, i dont think ill combat, i find most of it boring. However, if i did do combat id probably only do mage.

Might do some mining, can make some money for crafting then :) Thanks for the only helpful comment :L

Provided you're not drop trading, an issue with FtP skillers is getting the early capital to effectively train skills: that is, buy bulk raw material etc. I'd advise that you grit your teeth and just Mine enough Iron/Cut enough Yews for around 1.2M - definitely smooths things over.

If you're looking for easy crafting levels and a little cash, it's not so hard to make Gold Amulets until 60 or so Crafting, with a nice 300 - 500k profit thrown in.

If you have any more questions, feel free to PM on my FtP skilling account, H 3 A R T.

What exactly do you want to do? A skiller implies all skills.

no, a skiller implies non-combat skills

Mispoken, but exactly what I meant. My question is still...what exactly does he want? If you want to make a skiller, you level up all NON COMBAT skills. He just asked what skills should he get...if it's a skiller, all skills minus combat skills (when in actuality if you want to get technical, combats are a skill).

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

gl having fun in f2p. It's not really fun, and membership isn't expensive, it's goddamn cheap to be honest.

My lame drops:
6 Effigys
1 D Med - 1 D Dagger
1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody

Skiller? F2P? I thought you want to avoid boredom? With a skiller you're not making anything exciting, you're just making everything more boring (by depriving yourself of content). Add that to F2P and you're screwed. My only advice would be as follows: give up on this "skiller" idea. There are 99 ways to avoid boredom in RuneScape but a skiller ain't one.

Ill definately do combat after a while then, seen as its 6-1 on the votes :L

I'm getting 70 woodcutting, then burning them logs for 70+ fire making.

After that im planning to get all non combats, f2p, 50-60+.

But then, what combat stats? Because i don't want to turn it into a boring main. I want a staker or a pker. But an effective and fun one.

So what should i get? What type of pure, and also any suggestions on how to train them? If i get a few different pure suggestions then i may change the poll to that. Thanks for the help everybody! <3

I'm not an expert on boxer stats (a boxer is someone fighting only by hands in duel arena). But you could check out the pvp sections of the forum or search for threads about the most efficient boxer stats. But as far as i know what is best would be something like this:

- 40-60 attack?

- 99 str

- 1 def

- 1 prayer

- 1 sum

- As high as possible Hp.

My lame drops:
6 Effigys
1 D Med - 1 D Dagger
1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody

Staking is a bit random though (I mean 'a lot' when I say that). I would not recommend it.

Pure-wise, you can go summoning tank. It's a rare & powerful sort of pure powerful in duelling (at very high levels). Take a look at 999134's staking videos.

I've seen a couple of videos of summoning tanks, and as interesting as they seem, I'm probably gonna be stayin f2p. That is unless I max out a f2p pure and get bored, which won't happen i guess :L

I'm trying to decide between:

Boxer

Tank

Mage pure

Range pure

Like a strength one with fairly low Mage/range

Or, one with Maxed range, Mage, strength.

There's probably more, and most of these will probably be inefficient in f2p :/ any suggestions?

If you're just gonna stay f2p, here's my advice:

Don't limit yourself, since you're already doing that by staying f2p.

Start out as a pure, keep 1 def 1 prayer. Get 20/30 attack, and 50 ish strength. 40 range and 25 mage as well. Train non-combats as you please.

Then go pk for a bit, when you get bored, start rounding out your character.

Could anybody suggest how to get 1-70 crafting? Not sure how large my budget will be, I doubt it will be more than 2-3m though. Also, what ways should i train Attack to 40, Strength, Range and mage to 99? This will be over quite a long amount of time. Im thinkin of just cursing for mage. But im not sure about the rest.

Does anybody know a f2p guide for pures too?
