March 27, 201115 yr I've never seen anyone count down in the levers. I've always seen people say along the lines of "I'll count, pull on 3" 123everyone pulls, we all go on with the dungeon. You're honestly making a small issue a huge problem, and getting laughed at (rightfully so I might add) Fisher/Woodcut------Me-----Miner/crafter----Stabber----Leecher ^Golvellius must be so proud^
April 6, 201115 yr This entire thread reminds me of that scene from Red vs Blue:Tex: [The bomb] has a timer.Simmons: A count down timer?Tex: No, a count UP timer. It goes from 1 to EXPLODE! But seriously, I count up and down interchangeably all the time for lots of things. Sometimes I'll even use both methods for the same task (not at the same time, though... that'd just be confusing!) Such as, if I'm waiting for an important package, I may say "I have two days to go!" or "It's already been three days since it shipped!" just as an example. And yea, +1 to what everyone else said; the first time you failed was legit as you didn't understand the new order of things. The second time was your fault for not realizing the new order sooner. The thread is your stupidity and illogic at it's finest for continuing to refuse to accept the new order. You're like someone who was stuck in a cryogenics chamber who has been thawed three decades later and insists that things are done the way they were 30 years ago. There comes a time when you just have to face facts that things aren't the same and either YOU adapt or you die. It's such simple logic even a child would get it. Part of the Star Traks network. April 13, 201115 yr Was trying to do some dungeons yesterday and I ran into a complete moron. Looks like all the pros are gone. As it turned out, we found the lever room. 1st timeWe went in and I started counting: 1, 2, 3 and I pulled the lever. I got shocked; it was mildly annoying, but I figure everyone has lag so I tried it a second time2nd time1, 2, 3 pulled. Shocked again x.x3rd timeThis person said he'd count, he did it backwards from 3, which is weird, but I'm flexible. He went 3, 2, 1 and I pulled, and got shocked again. At this point I left the dungeon because I was dealing with someone entirely incompetent and would rather spend my time hunting penguins than dunging with this fool. Let me explain how the lever room works: Everyone gets by a lever and the keyer counts to 3 and you pull on 3. TL;DRWhats so difficult about "Pull on 3: 1, 2, 3?
April 14, 201115 yr Never read this thread before but it's really funny as hell... I have no idea why jimi would invite this guy to dgs as his willingness to learn is -123. First to 99 Farming on 27. I have no idea why jimi would invite this guy to dgs as his willingness to learn is -123.Maybe he just has stubbornness vs levers. Just because he doesn't know how to effectively do one puzzle (which is more of a grammatical problem, to be honest) doesn't mean he is unwilling to learn. Also levers aren't a very common puzzle. Also levers aren't a very common puzzle.Proposing that everyone should do a puzzle the way he says just because of stagnation sounds extremely unwilling to learn to me. In dgs, it's extremely offensive if a rank tells you to do something and you ignore it, let alone disagree. This guy here wants everyone to do what he thins is logical because people used to do that, siting that it makes you pro at dungeoneering. That is unacceptable in pro dungeoneering these days. The rarity of the puzzle really doesn't matter, and i don't think around 0.7 per large floor is too rare. First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20.
