Urm. I don't know how to say this guys. We dun goof'd. Well, Retech and Me.

 

The Sarlane, well the crew anyway, are probably dead/dying. Cause we've just figured out that Astare 3 is home to a vicious virus that eats away at the flesh, to the point where you're just a bubbling patch of infected blood on the floor.

 

Where Retech goof'd was that he was so set on going to Astare 3, that this wouldn't of happened otherwise, even after telling him it was okay if he built on Astare 4, just away from the colony. Retech this is what your greed does.

 

 

Where I goof'd, after being infected with the virus (I visited, AKA was stranded on the surface of Astare 3) After being infected cause I cut myself on something and the microbes entered the cut. I didn't realise that the Sarlane was on the surface of the planet, and thus RIFE with that virus. So yeah, I didn't see it coming until after the session (after talking with Paul of course).

 

Now the Sarlane isn't THAT far away, so we can send a rescue mission there, but it has to occur in between session, and only if nero agrees to let us use the pegasus. So yeah, and I'm so going to be a part of that mission. I wont let the Sarlane die, I liked it there :(, there were cool people like Volta, Jerry and NPC 23.

 

SO YEAH WHO'S WITH ME BEFORE ALBERT TURNS CRAZY?

 

 

Oh yeah that means all of Retech's resources spent on Astare 3, the 50,000 colonists and our only way to trade with Europa are all pretty much screweed.

I'll aid you to a degree but I have some conditions. I already dealt with a single infected (that is to say you) and would rather not deal with a mass of them. If we do this we're going full on. That is to say armored space suits, flame throwers (or something along those lines) close combat weapons and heavy weapons as well as massive shield generators and plasma cutters. I intend to take no risks in this.

Hmm... It seems like I missed some major happenings including highly inadvisable improperly scouted colonization efforts...

Wyvren, Retech wanted to go to Astare 3, as it is basically a barren hell planet, or Astare's equivilent to Sol's Venus, we thought it was okay to give Retech the planet, and he only wanted a research centre, so we didn't need to explore.

 

The way we figured out that it had a virus was cause I was messing around and cut myself, and the virus suddenly showed up (that luck). It wasn't a colonisation attempt, the workers were just construction workers.

A small announcement:

 

For those that will not be participating in the Sarlane event, your help would be apreciated back at the colony. I am assembling an expeditionary force to head off into the wilderness, where 4 scouting parties were lost. So if you want to potentially smash things, this is your chance.

I am still continuing with colonization efforts. Seeing as the resources have already been spent and I am a robot, I will not be abandoning the project.

 

Some adjustments just need to be made, however. My greed and determinations know no boundaries! Flesh-eating pathogens are only a small hinderance in my plan.

I kinda figured, but I'm sure I can still make this work. The virus could actually be a good defence against aliens, because they won't even want to get near the planet.

Earth, there's no point in spending all-important resources on mediocre assistants, we're better of developing better ones ourself first.

Aside from that I have 1700kT, I could probs make an Escort or something if need be, to rescue the Sarlane. Boy am I glad that I took a ride on the Pegasus instead of staying on the Sarlane.

Edit: It's always easy to pester or critisize the person in charge, so just let it out all at once so I can ignore it in a bunch and try to figure out how to circumvent this flesh-eating bacteria problem. Alternatively, suggestions?

For some reason, something bad is going to happen between some of the characters. It's just a hunch, but things are going to go very down hill and it's not going to be pretty.

Retech, we are NOT using this as a bio weapon. Even if it only spreads by contact through the blood stream (unlikely) the rate at which the infection spread (and the properties it displayed) are worrying enough that I would advise taking no chances. Hell if we could I'd advise glassing the surface of Astare 3 and sending the Sarlane into the sun to avoid any unnecessary risk.

Retech, there is a shortage, and the Builderbots ARE NOT MEDIOCRE.

Well, at the time Retech was trying to claim 500kT as well, I was going to pay the workforce 100kT, and I was only going to get half the amount. Sooo I guess I could repay you now. :(

 

Aside from that... I found good transformation sequence music. But god help me, reading the TVTROPES PAGE on where it came from has necessitated brain bleach. :blink:
