Lep
Just thought I'd point out that June 6th will be the number 666. For those of you Christians, you should know about the revelations and that kind of thing, and how States is planning a war or something soon too. Personally, I think that's when it starts, since you know, the number. Not that it actually will happen then, it'd be about time if it does though. :P I'm sure everyone knows what happened on 911. Just thought I'd point that out!
Necromagus
Complete and utter... *insert several words that would at least get me temp-banned here* If only because it would be 06-06-06, but also because because there's a shift of nearly a month from the transition from the Julian to the Gregorian calender, and the fact that it's only 2006 on the western calendar, while it would be a completely different year on for example the Jewish calendar and several Lunar calendars. Even if you would go by 'our' calendar, there's still the fact that some people think that the missed days that weren't counted during the Julian calendar would account for as much as seven years of inaccuracy on the Gregorian calendar which we follow now. Hey look, we're all alive. 666 has no meaning to us, it was written as code to other beleivers to show the evil of the Roman Emporer. stevester77
666 has no meaning to us, it was written as code to other beleivers to show the evil of the Roman Emporer. Thats a view that is generally not accepted by most Biblical scholars. :P The bible also says that no man can predict the date of the rapture. June 6th 2006 is just as likely to be the day of the rapture as is tomorrow. Nah a tsunami in Holland and a ice-age at hawai  Actually, should global warming occur as much as scientist's predict it will, and should it melt the ice caps... 8% of the Netherlands is expected to flood. Also, should hurricane's and such increase in power because of a global warming (which some scientist's also predit), you may see even more flooding in the country. With current predictions, the current dikes will not be able to stand.

Guest GhostRanger
One theory of how the number originated: The way it is thought to have first come about is by this train of though: Man was created on the sixth day - therefore his number is 6. Lucifer is referred to as the god of flesh aka the god of man and therefore his number is 6. Divinity is associated with a trinity because of Biblical texts so the god of flesh became associated with 666.
Aldeon
According to Revaltion in the Christian Bible - New Testament -Rapture comes first -Then some stuff happens Panic etc. Anti christ rises to power -Muslims/arabs sign treaty with israel -7 year tribulation begins -during this many plagues occur -people left behind will come to follow God -Antichrist dies, rises 3 days later (brings man from dead....and copies other miracles of Jesus) The calls himself God and demands worship -Mark of the beast...mans number 666 (evil)....All man great/small, rich/poor, takes the mark in right hand or forhead to buy trade and sell. If not you will be killed. Theres the microchip they are developing....guess where it goes.....hand...forehead for amuptated handicaps. Guess what it will do away with paper money and it will be used as ID and to buy and sell. They are planning it right now for that very purpose...coincidence huh considering the bible(New testament) predicted it about 2000 years ago Paper money and credit cards will be gone so we will be using this (ill see if i cna find a source for the info) and the will force people to take it. nothing about killing them yet but it will hapen when the time comes. -Great tribulation begins last 3.5 years -Glorius appearing. -Apocalypse God vs Devil of course God wins (duh) -Judgement day. Every one judges Lambs on the left( go to heaven) goats left (lake of burning sulfur) -New Earth, New heaven, 1000 year reign on earth -then comes the rest of eternity (kinda intriguing yet wierd though on the thought of eternity) According to the bible...(paraphrased) No man can predict the rapture not one knows the day not even the sun (Jesus) but only the father (God). It will come in like a thief in the night. Unexpected. You gotta remember people will always be making specualtions about when its been done since the 1500's or so (especially during the bubonic plague) so its gonna be predicted...sorta....but still unexpeced it will catch us off guard.... im a christian and think its very possible/likely in this lifetime considering the microchip is in development...As it makes sense that that will become the mark of the beast....it isnt yet. Now for you atheists or other religions dont flame me for my beliefs, i can do the same about yours, its my beliefs and speculations as what might happen sometime with the next 50 years or so. It probably wont but then again it might. thats the point no one knows. The same as no one knows (as in proves) if God exists. We only have faith or dont have faith so yeah....mainly for other believers in Jesus....a little bit to get your mind going. I also dont think the day 666 has anything to do with the rapture or tribulation.....or apocalypse

stevester77
Wow Aldeon, thats actually pretty accurate. The only thing that I didn't see there is the "abomanation of desolation" (when the antichrist rebuilds the temple and goes into the most holy place and declares that he is god). And for those that say that the number 666 is not biblical, let me guide you to Revelation 13:16-18. (16)And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: (17)And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (18} Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six. ice_ring
The book of revelations was supposedly written by a man who lived around 80 AD and saw visions of God that told him of the rapture, and how it would happen...yeah...that seems reliable enough for me to believe. stevester77
I apologize, I was inaccurately informed and haven't read Revalation in quite some time. :? No problem, we all make mistakes and revelation just happens to be my favorite book of the Bible. though I do think you have one more post to edit  The book of revelations was supposedly written by a man who lived around 80 AD and saw visions of God that told him of the rapture, and how it would happen...yeah...that seems reliable enough for me to believe. Rolly Eyes. Yah the apostle John, aka "the disciple whom jesus loved". And while he did live "around 80 AD", at this time he was old in age, your "80 AD" rather is about the time when the book was written. Considering John was the mosted loved by Jesus, he is not much different than many of the author's of the various books of the bible. He wasn't some random guy that when crazy, rather he was a very important man of early church history who wrote the book with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
